I am sharing my experience with…

I am sharing my experience with Innovations Medical and Dr. Johnson so others can make a fully informed decision before undergoing a cosmetic procedure.

In July 2025, I had a fat transfer procedure where fat was removed from my inner thighs and transferred to my breasts. I understand that some cosmetic procedures do not guarantee perfect results, but I did not expect the complications I am now dealing with.

After the surgery, I developed multiple large lumps throughout both breasts. I went to get a mammogram and was told it’s fat necrosis. These lumps have caused my breasts to appear uneven and deformed, worst than before which has been extremely distressing and has greatly affected my confidence.

I also experienced a complication in my inner thigh where the fat was removed, which I was told was a blood clot that would resolve over time.

When I returned to discuss my concerns, Dr. Johnson told me that repeating the procedure would likely not make a difference that I would have wrinkles and he referred me to another plastic surgeon to correct the outcome. HIS MESSED UP Being told I need another surgeon to fix the results of a procedure I already paid and he did on me has been very discouraging.

The total cost of this procedure was $7,500. At this point, I am in the process of gathering my medical records, documenting my condition, and seeking additional medical evaluation to understand what corrective options may be necessary.

I am sharing my experience so that anyone considering a fat transfer procedure can carefully research their provider and understand the potential risks.

I cannot belive Dr Johnson is actually…

I cannot belive Dr Johnson is actually now doing surgeries on
People! Everyday I have to deal with what Dr Johnson did to my face. He will maim and blame you for his lack of expertise, he is a full blown narrcissist, and will become angry if you go somewhere else for a second opinion on how to fix what he did to you. Some people have gotten a good result from him, but too many people have not! He does things that cannot be reversed. Now he is actually doing surgeries? God help anyone who alows him to actually cut and stitch. He used to only have a med spa, and he did plenty of damage there. I am certain he is not a board certified plastic surgeon although he always tried to represent himself as one. I have read all of these reviews and they are acurate representations of his manner and his work. I am trying to save you heart ache. He should be stripped of his medical licence altogether.

Angry doctor

I went in there today for my first consultation and when the doctor (Dr Johnson) walked in the door you could tell he was angry just by his energy. He then proceeded to tell me that we would have to do the whole thing over again because “it’s 30 days out of your operation “ I tried to explain to him that I wanted to meet him and I was moving out of town and it was easier for me to meet with him now and that his sales person allen new about this process- he cut me off in midsentence and said” so do you have some lipomas to show me?” First of all nobody likes being cut off by a surgeon he was going to be inside your body, next he was pretty aggressive the way he said it so I asked him “are you mad or angry with the process that I’m trying to set up to meet with you? “ His anger was way off. He responded with not addressing the energy that I was picking up and asked me again to move forward -since he lacked the awareness to communicate effectively what he was feeling or experiencing in that moment I decided to stop the process of the consultation. As he was leaving you could tell he was about to lay into me he turned around and looked at me and I told him then “you need to work on your bedside manner”. I got my money back on my deposit and ran out the door.

Unless you like being talked to like you were 12 y/o don’t know what you’re talking about, or you’re OK with someone aggressive who lacks insight into their own emotions and behaviors doing surgery on you then I would run from this office. The front desk girl and the nurse were very nice but the Dr has no bedside manner.

Don't go

I had a “BBL” almost 5 years ago .I wrote a glowing review at the time because I was still under Dr. johnsons care for a post surgical infection that was most likely caused by my own actions .I am writing a different review now because I've had several people contact me over the years that read my initial review which I left alot out of.I will admit I chose this facility without realizing Dr Johnson is not a board certified plastic surgeon, my fault for not doing my research and by time I did I had already paid my deposit. I paid my deposit without meeting the Dr because thats how they did it then maybe now you can do a free consult with the Dr but not then.I partially picked them because I wouldn’t be under anesthesia and because they said I could sit on my butt immediately. The morning of surgery I was given two tramadol and something like a valium/Xanax type of pill. I woke up during my procedure and begged for more meds to put me back to sleep with was denied and told to stay still because me tensing up was going to mess it up. Im now going back into surgeryto fix the lumpy lipo that I would not haveget touched up by Dr johnson even if he paid me too because it was so traumatic the first time. I lost all improvement of fat transfer within 6 months and was left with lumpy uneven stomach. He did take my infection seriously and treated it at no extra charge but I felt like I finally needed to be honest about what happened during my procedure and the results.I am thrilled to say that I finally was able to fix the nightmare he gave my body this last Thursday with a board certified surgeon that I should have used the first time.

COPD treated. Great experience and well worth the money spent.

I have COPD and went for the stem cell therapy treatment for that disease. Dr. Johnson was very personable and explained the procedure and expected results in detail. I had some soreness for a few days after the procedure but it was well controlled with the pain medicine I was prescribed. I feel like I am already having positive results although it has only been five days since I had the treatment. Before the treatment my oxygen saturation without supplemental oxygen was 88 to 90%. Now it is 93 to 97% and averages 94% even with activity without supplemental oxygen. I am really pleased so far.

I plan on having a supplemental treatment in about three to four months.

I heartily recommend the procedure and this office.

Great experience.

The gentleman that did my consultation was great. He was very knowledgeable about the procedure I was interested in and had a great bedside manner. I see horror stories online all the time but I am more than confident in them. I haven't even had the procedure and already I've been recommending them.

Could have been great, but overall disappointed

It's been several years since my fat transfer procedure and I can definitely notice a slight improvement in my breast size. However, the results I got were greatly exaggerated by his daughter (my consult person). She told me I would easily go from a small A cup to a very full B and probably a C. She also told me they could take fat from my thighs but on the day of my procedure, Dr. Johnson informed me he could not. I was under the impression that his daughter had the skill to perform the evaluation, but it became clear to me that she was strictly a sales pitch person and they should have had me consult with Dr. Johnson himself on what they could and could not do. Then Immediately after the procedure I was told that they couldn't get enough fat because my fat was "too dense". At my follow up, I made the mistake of expressing my concern that maybe he hadn't taken enough fat (because my stomach was still really fat!) and I expressed that I was a little disappointed with my breast size and Dr. Johnson got very defensive and made a snide remark that I thought I knew better how to do his job than he did. That absolutely was not necessary and in that instant, he lost my respect. Also, they took before pictures and at my follow up, they didn't want to take pictures...I think it was because I was still fat and my breasts were still small. When I came back for my final follow up, I had been on a very strict diet and had lost about 20 pounds and all of a sudden, they remembered that they forgot to take "after" pictures and they wanted to take them...I said No Thanks! So there was some improvement...I would say I went from a very small A cup to possibly a full A cup. I think I paid close to $10,000 and can look back and say my money would have been better spent on implants. Add that to the treatment I received after my procedure and it all left me with a really sick feeling. Instead of wanting to tell everyone I knew how great it all turned out, I was left feeling embarrassed about being so stupid. His daughter told me they didn't have very many "before and after" pics of Dr. Johnson's patients because people won't give their consent for them to use them...I understand why now. Notice that he uses and has used the same pics for many years. Also, the "before and after" pic they did show me (which was amazing) turned out to me someone else's patient...kind of deceitful if you ask me. I actually get nauseous when I see him on TV talking about all his great procedures. I would never be able to recommend him to anyone that I actually liked and that is a shame because I think this procedure has great potential and for those of us who do not want foreign parts floating around in our bodies, it's pretty much the only option for breast enlargement...bummer.

Did not get the results I was told I would get.

I had many concerns about my arms. They were flabby. First, they tried to tighten the loose skin with thermage. I did not get the results I wanted so i tried the Smart Lipo. The fat was removed but my arms look worse now than before I got any treatments.

Still Waiting, Still Hopeful

The doctor said it would delay the need for hip replacement, and hopefully that will be true for my left hip. I still had to have the right hip replaced. The pain was unbearable, so I got an appointment with an orthopedic sports doctor. They took X-Rays of both hips, and the doctor was shocked at the damage on the right side, was wondering how I was walking. He showed me multiple bone spurs, a hairline fracture, and crumbling of the head of the femur. Dr. Johnson didn't say anything about the bone being involved, or I wouldn't have bothered to have the right hip injected. His nurse that put the IV in took a long time to find a vein, and I got a bad bruise afterward. The orthopedic doctor says that I wasted my money, because I have congenital hip dysplasia on both sides, so we'll see whether the stem cells help the left side enough to just reshape the hip socket, or if I will have to have the joint replaced.

Should have done pre medication

I wish I had done pre meds. It was a very intense procedure and would have been much easier had I insisted on getting premeditated. This was not a cosmetic procedure it was for MS and I am hoping for some good results soon.

Best Cosmetic Surgery Choice

After loosing weight, I wanted to account for my saggy areas and better define my waist. I'd seen Dr. Johnson appear on Good Morning Texas multiple times and was very impressed with his knowledge and genuine passion for cosmetic surgery. Choosing Innovations Medical has been the best cosmetic surgery choice ever!

Horrible

I had cosmetic surgery with Innovations in FW Texas. Everything he told me turned out to be a lie. He told me my marks would be the size of a pin point. I have four very dark marks that I have had for a year and they are quiet visible. He was supposed to have performed Lipo on my thighs. My thighs never showed any evidence of Lipo at all. They actually looked better before because now I have the ugly marks that I did not have before.I would not recommend him to no one.
