Interhome cancelled reservation!

Interhome cancelled my reservation 2 months after I made it! They did not offer an acceptable alternative, nor did they accept the one I offered (they didn't even react to it!) or were willing to pay anything towards a reservation with another provider.

After not booking with them for some years, as I had smaller troubles with them before, I decided to book this skiing holiday with my family for next winter. I was very fast in booking, as the apartments in ski areas sell out pretty fast. Now, 2 months later, I am without an alternative and have to take legal action. In addition, the reason for the cancellation vary (system error, double booking, owner wants it), which makes interhome even more untrustworthy.
It didn't help that communication with interhome was never with the same person twice.

Now all good appartements are already sold out and I can't find anything decent for a similar price. Crying! All I can do is seek legal action. Such a hassle.

Will never ever book with interhome again.

Booked an apartment and then needed to cancel.

Booked an apartment and then needed to cancel it within the free cancellation period. Did so online but there was an error with their website and the cancellation did not go through. Contacted them when the refund failed to appear only to be told that they had no record of the cancellation and that half the amount was now payable! They failed to deal with my enquiries or complaint on time and took even more money despite repeated attempts to get them to cancel the booking because of their website still not allowing me to cancel. Eventually refunded a proportion of the additional charge but still charged us half of the rental amount, which is outrageous with a website that does allow people to cancel their booking! Awful service and a bunch of crooks!!!

Unavailable properties - beware

Beware - Interhome advertise properties and that aren't available. You think you have something booked, then they tell you that it's cancelled, meanwhile all the other properties you could have book are rented out. Customer service is very slow, their website and booking system doesn't work and is very frustrating....

The Company is Good but Apt (rated 8/10) was awful!

The Company is Good, but the condition of the apartment I chose is poor and a 'substitute' represented the real manager. I soon discovered dirty sheets! I have photo. Many old stains and spots. Also a bug, so I slept on the nice couch instead." Manager" told me TV didn't work. Microwave was located so high I could not use it (I am short). Air conditioner VERY noisy, had to empty a water bucket twice a day that it drained into, but it was too small and could not cool. By Day 2 I became ill from the heat & at 2am, starting Day 3, emailed her that I had to move, unable to sleep & sweating due to heat. At 3 am it made a racket, showered sparks and blew a fuse. I was now in the dark, and my internet was gone! Forced to leave, I packed everything in dark, took 2 hrs. At 6 am "manager" banged on the door. I told her I was undressed and she left. I am 82, disabled and visually impaired, so it took an hour to drag all luggage out of apt & find help to get it outside the door at 7am. BUT NO INTERNET meant no taxi. At 8 am,3 strangers SENT FOR A TAXI. That's when the "manager" ran up, yelled at me,grabbed my keys, which I had said in my early am email that I'd meet her later that day & give her the keys (wanted a receipt for te key), but she took them, no receipt. She called me stupid in front of the people helping me and stalked off. The people felt sorry for me. Later she sent threats. I paid again for the 5 days I still needed -to a new hotel (had paid full price at APT 176 at Prater Ut for 7 days). I have only asked for 50% refund,but the "manager" wants 100 Euro for 'cleanup'-says I left it a pigpen. Not so. I rumpled bed to show the dirty sheets. Had an extra bucket by the broken air conditioner. Some milk in refrigerator & raspberries & frozen fish unopened in the freezer I could not carry. All dishes were washed. She says she will make sure I never rent another apartment/hotel from anybody in Europe. Hoping to hear back from Interhome quickly. I am asking 50% refund for no air, no electric,no internet, emotional distress and her rudeness and threats.
