We ordered several sets of curtain…

We ordered several sets of curtain poles and rings from the IGD Group and the quality fo product and customer service was first rate. Despite the inevitable disruptions of Covid, the firm went out of its way to be helpful - Cara in Customer Services was a star. We'll certainly look to order more from IGD in the future.

Dishonest and a suspicious company!

We would leave 0 stars if we could too! Ordered with Poles Direct. Took ages to arrive. When arrived the brackets were faulty. After speaking to someone at Blinds Direct (??!) we eventually got sent some new brackets, but although they were supposed to be a different type they were exactly the same with the same problems. We then asked for a refund which they said would be fine...2 weeks later we were sent packaging and sent the poles back. Fast forward another 3 weeks and we get an email saying we are only getting half our money back as the poles were badly damaged and had to be put in the bin! I questioned someone on the phone as to how that could be and that it certainly wasn't our fault if they were, and they just said they were out of their original packaging so that's why we wouldn't get the full money... so I wrote an email telling them they were crooks and they instantly said they'd got it wrong and would refund the rest!
We are lucky as we have had this resolved, but we also had to fight for it which I know other people don't always do, and that is how they get away with it! I am surprised this company is still allowed to operate as they are clearly a con.. but I guess that is why they have so many names, to confuse you and escape the direct complaints!!

A frustrating customer service experience

I bought several wooden venetian blinds from Wooden Blinds Direct. After a few years, two developed a fault with the strings, and they sent out a replacement part under guarantee that we fitted ourselves. Good service. A third blind was sent back for a repair, but was returned unfixed. Then, through 15 emails over 2 months, the customer service was very frustrating. I was offered a replacement blind, but that my preferred slat width and 2 x wood effects were not available, even though they were listed on the website. I was then assured that a replacement blind had been sent out, and told two occasions that they were investigating the issue and would contact me. I have had no response for 7 weeks. Rather than waste people's time, just say you will not honour the guarantee.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Dreadful experience from start to finish, but unfortunately it's still not finished...I've a refund due. I placed an order for nearly £500 via Paypal that showed a 5-7 day delivery. Almost 2 months, countless phonecalls, emails, false promises, conversations with numerous different young people 'working from home', later, I have returned the half order I received. I didn't receive the other half, and the manager William who is dealing with it, is waiting for evidence that their supplier didn't despatch it. It didn't arrive with me, but that's not good enough for William to give me a full refund. Company promised me numerous times the order had been despatched, but nothing arrived. They will say anything to fob you off. And it's impossible to speak to a manager, just young people working from home who say they can't transfer the call to a manager. Dreadful company. I recommend avoiding.

I wish I would've read these reviews…

I wish I would've read these reviews before placing an order. No stars would be the level I'd put my experience at. It's been woeful with missed delivery dates and no follow up emails to explain why or even offer an apology. I complained to the Customer Services Team and they really didn't care. "Your order has been cancelled... anything else?" When I explained that its been dreadful from start to finish, the response was "Righto". It's bizarre that a company like this can remain in business.. though that said, I haven't received my refund yet! Another battle!

Possibly one huge scam

I am starting to wonder if this firm is a scam, I placed an order with Poles Direct (one of their many names), it was for a curtain pole, so not dragons teeth or something particularly rare, this was 6 weeks ago, I was promised it would be delivered in 5-6 working days; still no sign, having been fobbed off with countless excuses, by email and on the phone, I have today demanded a refund, I just hope it comes. I would advise anybody against using this company.

I received curtains that were not…

I received curtains that were not straight and the stitching fell open. They looked like an old rag. I had to fight through the payment method for a refund - which I only got by taking this action . Never would I use thus company again.

Appalling, stressful & no sign of our £200

What a dreadful experience - still not resolved sadly.

I placed a large order (over £200) with their offshoot company Poles Direct on Sunday 28 June. On Tuesday 30 June I wanted to check something about our order & tried to get through to them. I first held for 40 minutes & once answered was discussing our order with a woman called Debbie. Halfway through the call, the line went so I tried to call back. It's impossible to get through at the moment - I appreciate that these are unusual times but surely customers shouldn't have to wait for literally hours. I held for another 30 minutes & then had to give up to do some work. I tried several more times but the waiting times were ridiculous. So in the end I decided to cancel our order & sent an email to them confirming this.

The next day I had an acknowledgement confirming that they'd cancel our order but saying that they weren't issuing a refund but would hold onto our money so that we could order something else. This obviously was NOT acceptable so I emailed them straight back asking them to arrange a refund immediately. They confirmed that they had arranged a refund but this has still not appeared on my card a week later. I have emailed & emailed with no response & am obviously now extremely unhappy.

Dreadful service, awful company & I would NEVER recommend them to anyone.

Update: having spent pretty much all day bombarding them with emails & copying in BBC Radio 4's You & Yours (radio equivalent of Watchdog), they finally responded & said our refund would take 5-7 days, not the original 3-5 days. Later today I got an official notification that our refund has been processed - so when they said it was processed on 1 July presumably that was a big fat lie. How do these scumbags sleep at night? Still no sign of our money.

Why would anyone work for these people - presumably there are other slightly less unethical employers in Yorkshire?

They promise dispatch between 2 to 3 days, but two weeks have passed for ours and we didn't receive a single update on what is going on despite having tried to contact them multiple times.
At this point, we are coming to terms that we may have lost this money, which is appalling considering the current economic climate.
Whatever you do, do not trust them. Better to buy from competitors!!!

The previous reviews on this company are VERY accurate

The reviews on this company are VERY accurate. I have just been subjected to the worst service I can remember in recent times.

One month later and still not received anything so ended up cancelling. The only comms I received (on a weekly basis) were that the product I'd chosen wasn't in. I went through 4 different products and got the same response (a week later). Not once was any help offered by actually advising what was in stock. I'd had enough in the end and asked for a refund and expressed my disappointment. All I got was a stock response saying sorry I feel the need to cancel.

There are many other companies out there that can provide these products so would recommend that you don't waste your time with them. They don't care!

Appreciate we're in difficult times but that's no excuse for poor customer service and a lack of interest in their customers. Just awful!

Don’t even think of buying from these companies.

Blinds Direct/Interior Goods Direct
Looked on line at website and saw good reviews 🤔
(don’t know if I believe them now).
Ordered blind (thro PayPal) to value of £209.70. on 5-7 day delivery.
It took 6-7 weeks in the end after numerous emails.
Basically ...........
I was given a W/C 10th March dispatch date and told the blind would be delivered mid week, took time off work and it didn’t arrive. 😡
Was then told got it lost in transit! 🤔 and they would manufacture a second one and be in touch.
(All the way thro’ production of both on their website it said 50% thro production even after the dispatch date).
After a week from being told I would be contacted no one had 😡 therefore I emailed and said I would be claiming the cost back thro’ PayPal.
(Which I then proceeded to do).
Within a two day period after this I was contacted saying the blind had been dispatched.
This arrived after having to chase the delivery company!
Blind arrived, dented and twisted top rail, packaging damaged and whoever had taped it up had actually stuck tape directly on blind.
After seeing the second company name (interior goods direct) I went on line and checked their reviews.
If I had seen this initially I would never have ordered from them in the first place!
PayPal .....
Yes, I thought I was covered, I was for the cost of the blind but PayPal expect you to return the goods yourself, cost for return of item was £41.88 and now therefore out of pocket to this amount. (Although do believe PayPal cover up to a certain return cost but it’s only £15, investigating this at moment).
I have emailed Blinds Direct asking if they would reimburse the £41:88 for the carriage back to them as none of the problems were caused by me, to which they have replied and said they would not.
I’ll leave it to anyone that reads this to decide if they would choose to use this (these) companies.

Horrible Customer Service

Do not use this company for your blinds! I ordered four custom roller blinds and I needed them quickly so I paid extra to have the order fast tracked. My order was to be with me within 2-3 working days. After 3 working days and no blinds I rang the company. The nice lady couldn’t tell me anything about my order so she took my number and never called me back. I looked up the company online to ring them back the following day. I was terrified when I could find no contact information on their site. I considered for a moment that I had been scammed. I ended up finding the number I rang before only to speak to a rude and unapologetic woman. They had not even begun to make my blinds. They failed to print the order for production. I asked to make a formal complaint which was more hassle than what it’s worth. I had to find another company to make my blinds

Terrible terrible terrible

Well I have to agree with all the other terrible reviews of this company blinds direct and interior goods direct as they also call themselves, shocking customer service, nobody there knows what’s going on with your order and just fob you off with different excuses as to where your order is, very late delivery and no explanation as to why, would I recommend this company to friends and family absolutely not, would never ever use this company again. Take your business somewhere else. Only gave one star as was the only option but not even worthy of that!

I also would leave 0 stars if this was allowed. The customer service is appalling. My tale of woe with this company is too long to detail, however it involved scores of web chats then phone calls over four weeks to chase an order. Tried several times to get hold of a manager but was fobbed of each time with a promise they'd ring back. Ha! Apologies, promises, more apologies. All worthless. It seems to me their systems are not up to the job. I cancelled my order and got my money returned (thank you William) but not before I'd suffered so much frustration and disappointment, plus so much wasted time on numerous calls.

Currently almost too furious to write a…

Currently almost too furious to write a rational review but suffice to say I would NEVER use these guys again. Still waiting on two sets of blinds and they have been delayed and now sent back and nobody can tell me where there are. Apparently there is no contact number for anyone and even the customer service teams don't use phones??? Completely ridiculous and terrible customer service. Ruining our new home experience as well as no blinds in our entire house after somebody recommended using these guys. Do not.

I would leave zero stars if this was an option; sadly it is not. Worst customer service I have ever received. My products have been delayed and delayed and delayed. I ordered in July and still not received my full order. No one ever contacts you to explain why. Management have said they will call me five times, still no call. My order has still not arrived. If you are going to do anything today, order from another company. This is not an exaggeration, worst customer service ever.

NO GOODS ARRIVED!

Ordered and paid for the goods. I had to phone them 8 days later to inquire about delivery only to be advised that it was with the courier and I should wait longer. Phoned a day later and cancelled the order and asked for a refund. Was advised that I should refuse delivery (hard to when couriers are just leaving goods at back doors!) or I would be charged another £14.99 to uplift. NO APOLOGY FROM THEM. Avoid!

Terrible Service

Dreadful customer service. Waited a month for my curtains. First excuse was that they had failed quality control and had to be remade. Second excuse was that the fabric was out of stock. Eventually had to cancel the order. Now have to wait 5 days for a refund (still waiting). Save yourself the hassle and shop elsewhere.
