This was our first time moving a large amount internationally and I am so happy we chose International Sea & Air shipping. The whole process was smooth and the companies contracted were extremely professional. I felt well taken care of and would trust them with my next international move!

We contracted with International Sea & Air Shipping for our move from Wisconsin USA to Bavaria Germany. Our main household items were shipped in a 40 foot sea container, back in November 2024. Our items arrived without issues / or damage. I wrote a positive review at that time for the sea container shipment.
In Jan. 2025, the rest of our household was shipped via an air freight pallet. Again, as with the sea container, there were absolutely no issues. Jeanine was always available for any questions that we had. Ronnie kept us informed regarding when our items would be picked up. Kai, in Germany kept us informed regarding when our shipment would be delivered. Avi was very helpful with quoting and the contract.
We would definitely use International Sea & Air Shipping again.

International Sea & Air Shipping provided the highest quality service, both from the States as well as the in Tunisia, where I received the shipment. They were responsive and always kept us updated. Special thanks to Jeanine, Siwar, and Nabil.

Now that everything is finalized with my shipment and insurance claim, I’m updating this review to reflect the full experience.

Working with this company is a decision I deeply regret. Although I believed I had done my due diligence, I should have trusted my instincts and researched further. My experience raised serious concerns in three key areas:

1. Poor Sales Experience
While my sales representative initially worked hard to fit within my budget—which I appreciated—there were early red flags I ignored. He was frequently rude, spoke over me, and made it difficult to ask questions or fully understand the process. When an issue arose later with the shipment, his response was defensive, passive-aggressive, and unprofessional.

2. Lack of Cost Transparency
Although I was repeatedly told this was “door-to-door” shipping and that the company handled these situations routinely, I later faced significant undisclosed charges. After prepaying for my shipment in December, I was contacted at the end of January by the destination moving company and informed that I would be required to pay an additional $2,000 USD—roughly 25% of the original total—within 48 hours of my shipment's arrival. I also learned this could not be paid by credit card, despite having used one for the original transaction. These details were never disclosed upfront, which created unnecessary stress and financial strain.

3. Breach of Trust and Integrity
Instead of constructively addressing my concerns, the company responded to my negative review by stating they would no longer offer any assistance with the unexpected fee due to the review being posted. This response struck me as retaliatory and concerning, suggesting a focus on reputation management rather than customer resolution.

While the company later pointed to contractual fine print about possible port charges, my issue wasn’t that the fee existed—it was that they failed to disclose it, despite knowing it would apply. I contacted the partner company at the destination port in South Africa, and they confirmed the fee had been known and reported before my shipment even left the U.S., and that the rates were standard.

When I replied to the company stating I was open to updating my review if the situation improved, I was offered a payment contingent upon removing my existing review and agreeing not to post any future negative reviews. I declined this offer, as I believe it was inappropriate and contrary to Trustpilot’s policy. I also reported this to Trustpilot directly.

4. Damaged Goods Due to Negligent Packing
Lastly, I want to note that my shipment sustained significant damage to multiple items due to negligent packing. International Sea & Air contracted a local moving company to handle the packing, and unfortunately, their poor handling caused extensive harm. Fortunately, I had full replacement insurance coverage and received compensation to repair or replace the damaged items. However, this would not have been necessary had the company’s selected packers handled the job with more care and professionalism.

Closing Statement:
I share this review to help others make informed decisions. International shipping is complex, and professionalism, transparency, and integrity matter. Sadly, I did not find those values reflected in my experience with this company.

Moving house is a stressful experience at the best of times, however an international move just adds an extra level of stress. ISAS helped enormously with our move, spelling out each of the steps and giving us prompts when we needed to do something. Big shout out to Ronnie who was very supportive and empathetic during the process.

Once our appointment was confirmed, everything went smoothly, from pick up to delivery. The team was as quick and efficient as possible, making sure all our packaging was secure on the pick up. On delivery, they were there when they said they would be and all our furniture was placed as we needed, all the garbage was collected and anything that needed assembly was taken care of

I can say that from A to Z the experience was excellent. Communications, accurate estimate and fair pricing, I have to say that the highlight was dealing with and watching the packing team work. Starting with the on-time arrival to the execution of the packing was impressive. Watching them evaluate what had to be packed, how best to do it, and then executing the plan was very impressive. Anyone who thinks that packing is a box and a roll of tape needs to watch this team execute their project. Thanks Juan and his team.

I worked with International Sea & Air Shipping and their partner company in the Netherlands, Schmidt Global Relocations, for my move to Norway and was highly dissatisfied. My largest complaint was the delivery time. They wrote 10-14 weeks approximate delivery, and it took 22 weeks. That is double the time I was first informed it would take. Had I known this ahead of time, I would have looked into air freight. Secondly, my complaint is with my representative from the US. I had to reach out to her for an update on my shipment every single time. She had multiple spelling errors in her email, showing a general lack of care for her work, and she spelled my name wrong more than once. I found her responses to be slow as well. The Dutch office was not much better. My representative there was hard to get ahold of, and I spent one full week waiting for a return call, after we had scheduled a call that she did not make. On the shipments part, all of my boxes arrived, but they were wet, as if they had been stored in a damp area over time. Three of my boxes had perforations/tears/holes that were not there when I gave them to the company. A hinge from one box was taken off and added to a completely different box (a purple hinge moved to a gray box, making the switch obvious). I would not recommend this company to anyone. I would working with DHL, UPAKWESHIP, or any other form of delivery.

I needed to do my 5th international move, this time from NYC to Sydney and I got 3 main quotes, 2 were very high and then I got the quote from International Sea and Air, which was a solid quote, but it was simple and easy to understand. So I went with them and my stuff did just get delivered and it went fine. A lot of things can go wrong with shipping and one must expect some shipping damage, I had a few things bumped, but nothing major and this is normal for a big move. So overall I was happy and they are easy to work with and I think they try hard and do well in what is a very hard game.

International Sea & Air Shipping was a breeze to work with. We sent mostly totes and cardboard boxes of various sizes from mainland United States to mainland Europe. The process was entirely new to my family and the company helped each step of the way. It was great to get their advice and they were very clear when we asked any questions regarding pricing and our options. Thank you for an uneventful experience of moving our things!

I used International Sea & Air Shipping for my recent move from Florida to Prague. From the Pre-move survey to final delivery, the team went above and beyond! I was particularly impressed with the professionalism and care of the local movers. They were respectful, courteous, and most importantly handled my belongings with care and attention to detail. All but one item arrived in perfect condition!

I had an extremely frustrating experience with this company’s customer service. The representative I spoke with was not only unhelpful but seemed genuinely annoyed whenever I asked for clarification on my questions. It was clear they lacked the basic communication skills necessary for effective customer support, which made it difficult to build any trust.

Due to this disappointing interaction, we will be choosing a different company for our shipping needs. If you decide to work with this organization, I truly hope your experience is much better than mine.
