I would have renew but the company would not accept my debit card because they say it was a pre paid card.

Years ago I bought System Mechanic and had some problems with it and finally had to delete it. I saw an ad for the NEW System Mechanic (SM) and purchased it through download. I have yet to use it because every time I boot up iolo runs some scan and tries to sell me different new products that I thought were part of SM. I am afraid to enable anything because of the additional charges and lack of online support.,

I have used this product for many years, no complaints about the product but their practice regarding renewals and cancellations smacks of sharp practice.
Today I received notification of auto renewal, which I though I had turned off. I checked my bank account and the charge hadn't yet hit my account, but was pending.
I Immediately contacted IOLO and requested that as the payment hadn't yet been taken, that they cancel the charge and cancel the subscription.
IOLO declined, stating that auto renewal had to be turned off prior to renewal date.
I only received the notice of auto renewal on the day it was going to happen.
The expiring subscription of the product had been installed on a new PC that had malfunctioned and been returned to the manufacturer. The malfunction was so severe that it was unbootable. I was therefore unable to check that i had turned off auto renewal or to uninstall the software.
I am now out of pocket by over £80 as I had been paying the subscription on a debit card rather than a credit card, where such transaction s might have been disputable and recoverable.
I consider IOLO to be unsympathetic and inflexible.

The service is rendered when you call. you dont have to wait for a ttech to call you back, making it too late to get the help you need. I get service immediately when I call and I need it

everything is allright just getting a new computer.

The actual technician was great, the call center to get you to a tech was not great

They will not cancel your subscription, customer service is useless. I had to close my account to stop unauthorized withdrawals from this company. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company lie the plague.Furthermore their 4 star review is a crock. Google the BBB complaints.

for the second time , IOLO has secretly snuck in LIVETECH SUPPORT and is charging me when i never ordered this product . They make you pay inflated prices after you subscribe to their system defence package . I will never use their products again due to their making it difficult to cancel out of their inflated charges. I will immediately delete any of their products and block any future emails . to be fair , the product i ordered - System Mechanic - is a good product , but sneaking in their other stuff , is not OK, and probably illegal or at the very least unethical .

I’m still learning. But after installing I was brought to a screen and the scan type was: Full Systems Scan. And a note that one had never been performed. So I was like “Why Not” let’s start here and go from there. Well it’s been well over 4hours nw and the scan continues!
1. Why wasn’t I given a warning about how long a full system scan would take?
2. Without a warning how about a progress wheel with remaining amount of time? I might have just cancelled and moved on.
So I sit and wait. And I’m finding out now that this scan has nothing to do with performance; it’s scanning for viruses. How about I already had virus software.

I had issues that were easily, clearly and completely resolved concerning printer-scanner, word document format or layout, I took notes also to prevent repetition of any future problems with them. Courteous professionalism always wins.

Have used it for many years and am trying to install it on another computer of mine.
