IOLO is a bad business
IOLO is a bad business. They sell you extensions of time for your subscription at a low rate, but they package a 19.95 monthly "LIVETECH" service with it, buried in the fine print. You dont even know you have the service until the withdrawals show up on your bank statement.
The other scam they do is to rollover your expired subscription at "full" price, about $90, instead of the $23.95 you paid originally. And they do this one month AHEAD of your expiry date.
Don't just delete the program! Advise them in writing that you wish to cancel all services, and request a confirmation email, which you will need to get a refund when they bill you again.
I don't know what is wrong with US businesses these days. Used to be great. Now use TOXIC treatment with their own customers.
Consumer watchdogs need to go after this company.

IOLO is a total scam
IOLO is a total scam. They try to snare you into a lifetime of automatic renewals including a $20/month for customer service in addition to the program cost. On top of that their System Mechanic does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. It tells you it found problems with your computer and has fixed them. However the next time you run the scan, it finds he same problems.

Awful
I placed an order, 39542249 on the 5th December, to renew system mechanic.
The software did not renew and I contacted support, who couldn't find the order.
After repeating the problem over & over, they insisted that a member of staff would ring me.
Later that day, I got an email saying they tried to ring me. They hadn't.
I explained the issue by email, and emails have gone back and forth for over a week.
Eventually, the software was enabled but only part of it worked, not the full package I had before, despite the renewal prompt promising the full package.
Support changed from person to person and the latest one, Jessica Mendoza, didn't bother to read the previous conversations.
She informed me I needed to contact support, although she is support.
On replying back a few days later, she emails me to tell me my subscription has expired.
After a week of problems, I contacted support again by their chat widget to request a refund.
They told me they are not authorised to do that & instructed me to ring as US phone number which will be expensive

Catastrophic Failure, Fraud‑Level Service
System Mechanic Ultimate Defense and Iolo Updater destroyed my drivers, erased my passwords, and forced junk updates back to 2016. Support wasted my time with canned lines and evasions instead of fixing anything. Stop the bullshit — no excuses, no arguments. Please cancel my subscription, refund me in full, and confirm in writing.
This is a catastrophic product failure and outright fraud. If you value your system, your data, or your sanity, stay far away. I am escalating through chargeback, regulators, and legal action.

I would rate this company negative…
I would rate this company negative stars, given the option. Somehow they keep autorenewing me for LiveTech support. I have never called them once and just today learned that I have been paying for 5 months on a card that I don't follow much. My bad for not checking but I talked to them before and told them I don't want LiveTech Support. I think it is criminal that companies keep defaulting instead of having people sign up. Then they make a ton of money off you when you don't notice their scam. I like my computer to run properly, but these Antivirus and Anitspyware and Maintenance companies are become bigger rip-offs by the day. Their product is good, but the scam of unwanted LiveTech sucks.
