Really good communication and the skeg I bought was perfect for my Packraft. Very happy customer.
I never managed to seal the boat so it retained air. I spoke to IronRaft a couple of times, and they recommended more sealant, and I bought more, a couple of times. I used the boat once, but it leaked so much that I had to stop to reinflate every KM or so.

Have still to receive my kit - altho part of my order has arrived - namely my self assembly paddle...I can't track my order - so have no idea what the problem is with the carrier/or indeed which carrier it is and why they have failed to deliver the kit at the same time as the rest of the order. Hopefully it will sort itself out but it is mildly frustrating not knowing what has happened to the rest of the order.

Good kit and definitely a challenging project to complete. Video instructions are comprehensive and email support provided when required from Toby.

It's taken me 18 months to complete.. but that's my fault of doing a bit, leaving it for months, then doing a big more. At points through the process I thought I wish I'd just paid the 3/4 x as much and bought a ready made one... but now its complete its pretty satisfying to having made it. Things to consider - its much easier to make if you have a lot of space. I took it to work as there's more room. Ideally you need a big table and lots of space. I had to buy more seam sealant - no big deal. The tolerances were a little 'off' .. a couple of pieces in my kit didn't have the markings needed to attach to base, so I had to add them in (not difficult). Tolerances a little poor.. 2 x pieces approx 2cm longer than neighbouring pieces, so had to problem solve in final stages to get it all to line up...
But... if you like making stuff its a great project, and I'm pleased with the finished iron raft 😁
And questions I had were quickly answered. Customer service very good from iron raft

They are a nice independant uk company producing something which is usually very expensive and exclusive.
Toby was able to custom my tailor too.
If you are making a packraft there is a great community online to give advice and tips for customisation.
Personally i would recommend purchasing HH66 cement and some acetone thinner (and patience!) and use this for sealing up any tiny air holes after you have heat sealed the seams.
If you have a pump spray with some detergent in it, spray the seams and you can easily find tiny air leaks.

It all looks well. Did not assemble the raft yet, so no comments about that phase.

I really cannot fault my experience with Ironraft, response times were quick as ever and I have now built my second boat and really enjoyed the additions of the TiZip and tie downs. The TiZip I would 100% recommend buying in addition to the raft as it really helps the last step of the build and allows you to add extra Aquasure if required. But once again I had no issues with assembly, the videos really make this project accessible for all and of course a bit of patience helps.

Great service- especially as I qualified for reduced postal rates ( it's not clear how the normal postal rates work..?)

The instruction videos were good, but for a first time build it is quite exacting, and practising with some spare material is essential, IMO. The most difficult sections are ahead (taping the double curved seams), so I may review these comments when the boat is finished.
Iron Raft service good ,fast delivery of kit, and answered my queries promptly.

Fantastic customer service. I had a couple of awkward questions and delivery requests (so that it would arrive on a very specific day). Toby couldn't have been more helpful. Now we just have the fun of building it!
