The platform is great
The platform is great. There’s a lot of teachers with different prices. I don't give 5 stars because I think it would be very important to allow students to record their classes on their cell phones. At the moment it is only possible by computer, which is an error in my opinion. People use their smartphones more than the computer

Useful way to improve speaking skills
Although i lived in Spain, but i am too shy to talk with others to practice my Spanish. italki is very good to me,i like this kind of online distance to learn languages.now i take 3 half-hour lessons per week, i could feeling my progress.

The app is low quality and not worth it
The app charges a huge premium, but the product is extremely low quality.
As an example - there’s no way to set or clearly see a time zone for which you schedule lessons. It syncs wrongly with the calendars, etc. I have missed a lesson because of it and another time was 1 hour early. I wrote their support, there was a bot that was useless, it promised to escalate and get me an answer within 48 hours. A full week later I didn’t get at answer. No doubt I’m not going to ever use them again if they treat me this way.
Their inapp video conference is very low quality, doesn’t have a noice cancelling or ability to see a teacher while screen sharing, etc.
The prices are huge and they build in a huge commission for a very low quality product. Don’t recommend.

Everything is seamless and enjoyable
It’s easy to schedule a lesson. The video is clear. My teacher Jordi is great and does some conversation and teaching grammar. He leaves me with links to review and practice. He answers questions clearly.

Take the leap and learn!
I found Italki a few years ago but this year I decided to take the leap! Honestly after 2 lessons, I am reading in Greek and feel so confident. The flexibility and affordability is something you do not find anymore. Young or old! go for it & learn a new language! (P.S. the website and app are user friendly)

Can't change/modify lesson a few minutes outside of the 24-hour window
I understand that people might be having a great experience with this platform but...
I tried to reschedule/cancel my first ever lesson on the platform 24 hours and 10 minutes before the lesson was scheduled - something urgent popped up that I could not change.
It was impossible to reschedule or cancel my lesson though formally it was still more than 24 hours - the button "Confirm" just wasn't clickable.
The customer service suggested I try to cancel/reschedule the lesson in advance so I have enough time to report the problem with the platform if it arises.
Thanks, Captain Obvious! I will be looking for a less stressful way of learning the language.
