Terrible developers and customer service
Ive been a faithful customer for 10+ years, and now the entire company is trash! Terrible customer service, if they even answer you, the Advent Calendar for 2024 was horrible this year; the quality of the cards and the advent calendar is NOT what this site used to promote. Auto-renew my membership and reverse this charge since I am cancelling my subscription. What a shame! Whoever is running this company with the unseasoned developers behind the scenes has runied this company!
Underwhelming.
I am going to start with what I did like, which was the circular and patterned jigsaws, an interesting addition. This warranted two stars. However, some of the videos were sickly sweet, vomit bag material, particularly the last one, yucky! Too many dogs always, and although I don't hate dogs generally, I don't love them either to the extent that they are featured in the calendars and cards. I stopped subscribing to the cards when the company was taken over and membership went up from £7.95 a year to £15. No idea what it is now, but I have bought the calendar for quite a few years, and last year's was great. This year I had to ask myself whether it was worth going on after paying £8. I had a query about day 23 but realised that I had crossed wires with 22, which was a good thing because if I had relied on customer service, Christmas would have been done and gone before a reply. Also clicked on the parcel under the tree on the 23rd but couldn't see anything. When I checked again, it may have been the game of pétanque under the window, can't be sure. Generally, there were all the same old games as far as I could see. I like to play the card games, and the match cards, but not much else now. May buy next year, not sure, but definitely won't if the price goes up further.
Terrific product, wish I'd though of it myself
I've been sending Jacquie Lawson holiday cards for years now and two of my friends have started sending them themselves. I'm surprised at some of the negative reviews here. I use the website every holiday and without fail the cards are delivered quickly, everybody sends me lovely thank you notes and it's a good experience.
I like it that I get a notification when the card is viewed. That's a terrific feature.
I also like that there are new cards coming out all the time. There's always something beautiful and new to look at.
Very disappointed
Having a calendar for some years now there was no hesitation for the 2024 Paris calendar. It stopped working after a couple of days only for me to find out that the help and support is very poor. I managed to fix the problem myself and then had another fault on day 18 where the Santa in Paris book stopped working. I couldn’t be bothered to try and fix the problem and a waste of time emailing. But then it the same old story you only find out how good the Aftersales support is when you get a problem!!!!!
Expensive blatant marketing
I've just paid £36 for a 2 year subscription only for the ecard recipient to receive a Jacquie Lawson marketing request to download the app to view the card! Appalling. Card is extremely slow to load, if at all. I feel embarrassed and cheated.
The 2024 Paris Advent Calendar has been…
The 2024 Paris Advent Calendar has been very disappointing. Very few of the scene relate to Paris with the majority of the windows being repeats from the Sussex and Edwardian Calendars. Each Calendar has been original until this one so either there has been a problem with this one or the developers have been very lazy. This Calendar has been falsely advertised and customers should have been told that content from previous calendars had been used to allow a more informed decision.
I find the cards are very short
I find the cards are very short. I recently renewed my membership after dropping 5 years ago. Not much thought out into the available cards. They get started and before you know it it's over. The little block for message is plain and unattractive. If I had only known that the company was bought out I would have not renewed. This happens in all types of business. Once a business is taken over the quality declines.
Great advent Calendar
I absolutely love the Paris advent calendar, as does everyone I’ve bought it for.
There is plenty to do for all ages, and just enough , but not too many videos, as the years when there were too many were very disappointing indeed.
I shall definitely be buying again next year.

I have been a JL customer for years and last Christmas my experience was awful - perhaps this was the time that JL was sold. Nothing worked and I sent several messages about it and was assured that the problem was being fixed. It was eventually. This year was not bad except for the Lab running and running and getting nowhere. I allowed my membership to be renewed automatically without a thought, but I don't think I will continue at that price.
The selections have remained static now for sometime apart from an occasional addition and I am getting fed up trying to ring the changes. 2024 is my final year.
Don't waste your money.
I received a digital advent calendar as a gift. For a few days, everything was fine, and I was very impressed with product, lovely images and many fun games and events included.
After a few days, the program crashed. When I looked up what to do, the website indicated that this happens regularly with their product. Red flags. I proceeded to follow the instructions in the FAQ but to no avail, it still won't work.
I contacted the company: an auto reply said to do what I had already done (follow the FAQ) and to reply to that email, and a response would follow within three days. It has now been nine days with no response from the company.
So, more than a small amount of money was spent by the giver, for which I received a tiny fraction of what was promised. Don't waste your money

This company could make a big improvement by putting black letters on a white background in the greetings message, (white letters on a cream background)very poor, unreadable,

I’m new to Jacquie Lawson e-cards and I think the cards themselves are great. However, I’m not impressed with the email addressing format JL uses. Many recipients see the emailed e-card in their inbox and the address header appears to be spam or advertising because the senders name does not stand out sufficiently. Thus they delete without opening and e-card is wasted.
I'm Very Sad to Say that I Won't Be Renewing My Jacquie Lawson Membership
I've been a very happy customer of Jacquie Lawson's for years. I was shocked at the cost of this year's animated advent calendar and stunned at the cost of renewing my membership. I'm deeply disappointed to find out that the company was bought out and that prices have been jacked up so high. I won't be renewing my membership, which is really sad, because I loved this company.

The App doesn’t do what it says on the tin. Messages don’t always go with the ecard. Waste of money.
Absolutely NO SUPPORT - none! zero! Zilch!
A friend sends me these cards yearly so i thought i'd do one on reply (she's moved and left no address so email is the only contact for now). Anyway, you can't do a trial with J Lawson so i had to sign up for a year. The I found the card does not let you actually put in any custom text - i wanted news on her move. I contacted support ... what a waste of time!! They don't acknowledge your existence. Cards are ok as long as you don't want to personalise anything. Zero stars for usefulness and support. DO NOT BUY
NO MORE :(
At 45$ a year for a Jackie Lawson eCards membership, you would expect SOME good service if not GREAT service.
I have been working on sending my eCards for the Holidays to 47 of my family and Friends only to have Jackie Lawson famous dog running, running and running... endlessly on my screen :(
After an HOUR WAITING, I backed up and got out of the website only to do the work all over this afternoon maybe... This is the LAST YEAR I'm paying for bad to none service and always the same kind of cards :(
I do NOT RECOMMEND as I used to. Prices up, service down. Do they really think people are that stupid?!
I have been a JL customer for many…
I have been a JL customer for many years and always loved the annual Advent Calendar, excited to view it at the start of each day. Last year's Edwardian calendar was delightful - a hard act to follow I think. The Paris calendar I find, is boring, with more puzzles and games than the previous cute videos we used to have. I don't know where the idea of it came from - no skiers or skaters in Paris city centre. The excitement has gone for me, my renewal is due - but, I don't think so.
Anything but "classy".
One of the e-cards I sent (out of only four) didn't load despite me copying and pasting the link into my recipient's browser four times, at great embarrassment to me. At a time of year when you want everything to go smoothly (Christmas) this is the last thing you need. Trust a product that claims to be "classy" to be in point of fact anything but. I put in a complaint but judging by the reviews I've read I don't expect the problem will be rectified. If it is I will adjust my review.
Customer service went out the window Several days ago I contacted customer…
Several days ago, I contacted customer service with an issue but got a canned (rude at that) reply that was totally worthless. This company is not what it used to be. I am very disappointed.
Never Again
My cousin sent me the Nordic calendar a few years ago. I really enjoyed it so I purchsed the Edwardian calendar. Had trouble downloading but finally got it. Enjoyed playing the games. About a year later it suddenly would not open. Said there was an upgrade. Upgrade closed the program. Stupidly bought a Paris card, cannt open it at all and their customer service is non-existent. They ignore emails or send you links to pages that don't exist. Demands to return my money go unanswered. Never again.
