Terrible service. Poor use of social media invitations

I am so upset about this company! I sent out dozens of anniversary invitations ( my 50th)! and most of my contacts could not open it either through Facebook or Email. This is the least favorable company I have ever dealt with regarding accesssability. I ended up having half of my hoped for recipients coming, after having to contact each of them individually. I'll NEVER use this company again!!!!!

E-CARD Fraud

This company claims to send out their E-cards to friends and relatives of my choosing. However, my family NEVER gets these cards. After the third time this happened I sent the company 2 emails before they responded. They do not supply a phone number (sketchy) and maintain they sent the cards... so the problem lies with MY family members not receiving their card. How very convenient for them. I am cutting them off from automatically charging my card. Do Not give this company your credit card number!

This outfit is a scam

This outfit is a scam! Do not give them a credit card number. They charge 2 year subscriptions without approval or notice. They cannot be contacted, no phone numbers and they do not respond to emails. Don't fall for the little old English grandma.

Bad customer service - no communication

After using Jacquie Lawson cards for a long time, I got tired of the same old cards every year and the few new cards they put out were boring. When I canceled my subscription, I found that it was impossible to delete my credit card in my account.

I reached out multiple times to remove my credit card, but unfortunately, I did not receive any response. There was NO phone number to contact them so I had to call my bank to cancel my credit card.

The lack of communication made me feel frustrated with the overall bad customer service.

I did use the service for 2 years

I did use the service for 2 years. It was ok but not spectacular. My 2 years ended last year. This month I was charged for a renewal that I did not authorize. I have sent emails to request a refund and cancellation. It’s like they are not even listening to my information. I am very annoyed and have just disputed the charge.

Charged Double

Was charged a bundle price to include Blue Mountain subscription PLUS a charge for the regular Jacquie Lawson annual renewal charge. And have been unsuccessful at getting a refund. Can't cancel for a refund, can only non renew next year. Customer service useless, it's as if they don't even read or understand the issue. More likely ignoring it.

I’m experiencing problems with service…

I’m experiencing problems with service from this company. I have complained using Facebook Messenger which is the only way to communicate with them. My initial problem with a membership issue was not dealt with satisfactorily and now I find I cannot access the e-cards even though they have taken £36 from my account for a 2 year membership. I messaged the company again 5 days ago about this but still haven’t had a response. I use these cards to send to family in Australia and I have been unable to send one to my granddaughter whose birthday was last week. Not good enough!

Their email cards go to peoples JUNK folder

1. I’ve used them for more than a year. Every mail service providers must think their site is spam or junk because every card they have sent to a recipient for me has gone to the recipients junk folder. In this case, some cards were never received or opened and others I’ve had to tell them to look in their junk folder.
2. They will never reply to your help email you send them.
3. Most of the cards are useless to me, I don’t like them.

Very poor service following recurrent IT problem

I've been a JL member for years, buying the country cottage, the curio collection, around ten advent calendars and of course sending cards. But now I'm looking for an alternative e-card provider. Many of the JL cards are really beautiful. But the IT behind the service has let me down on a couple of occasions - some of the email addresses just disappear out of my JL address book. It's extremely frustrating to have to look up and re-enter email addresses for people you've recently sent cards to. Not only does this make the overall service of questionable quality, the customer service side of IT support is very poor in my opinion. I wanted to be as efficient in my complaint as possible. As I had experienced the same technical issue before, before I emailed them, I followed the advice sent last year (which didn't work then or now). I explained this in my complaint email, hoping to prevent being told to do the same pointless process again. After waiting one week, I had an email back which told me the email addresses that were lost were probably deactivated due to account inactivity (less than 3 weeks since I'd sent a Christmas card to that address). The email went on to advise me to check the FAQs and explained how to find the address book on the web page! An astoundingly poor response - they clearly hadn't read my email, much less investigated or tried to fix the problem. It seems they saw my issue was to do with the address book and just sent a standard (totally unhelpful) reply. I won't be renewing my membership unless they sort this out and send an apology. If they do so, I will update this review to reflect a better level of service than I've had to date.
UPDATE: Mid February after several emails and some failed attempts which made the situation worse, JL technicians managed to restore 90% of my lost email addresses. I still had some work to do to delete odd duplicates and input some missing email addresses, but it was close to being sorted so I told them to leave it there and I sorted the final part. As a goodwill gesture, they did offer me three months membership. I'm going to see how it goes for the next few months. I would perhaps rate them three stars now? I'm not sure, since it was a lot of hassle and they didn't manage to totally solve the problem. But at least the service did improve.

The animation cards are very good I…

The animation cards are very good I have used the service for many years. However I do think you tend to focus the cards older generation and likewise the music which is very heavy at times. Suggest you consider developing cards/ with appropriate music particularly Birthday, Christmas, congratulations etc that are focused on the younger generation. Will continue to subscribe to the service but can only rate as it stands 6/7. Maybe it is time to consider moving away from Teddy bears? You have the figures and it is a business decision

I did not sign up for auto renewal. I then attempted to cancel renewal as soon as it was charged and they would not respond. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company.

Super promotional marketing.

I had been a user of the Jacquie Lawson for about twenty years. I find that there is far to much marketing promotions. Also the revised site has been difficult to use as well as the emails I have sent to my friends. It has been turned into a sales arm when my friends open their emails. It's very sad what the site has turned into.

Paid renewal

Paid renewal, had confirmation email from JL as received, definitely been taken from bank. JL site still asking if I want to renew. Sent several emails and written through app site still no response from JL.
Absolutely disgraceful company.
I hope no one else will waste time and money on a company that has gone down hill so fast.

Just received a renewal notification…

Just received a renewal notification from them, been a member since 2003. This latest renewal is absurdly expensive for two years. So, sadly, will not renew. I was shocked to see it so I searched "did jacquie lawson card site sell". I see that one reviewer here says that it has. I have always just used it for the cards, and truly, they seem to be lesser quality than in the past..but were nice enough to send. Now the price increase is utterly at odds with continuing. Sigh. Another beautiful individual, creative service/product, destroyed by avaricious commerce. Thanks for the good years Jacquie.

Paid my money

Paid my money, taken from my account, went to start my Christmas ecard and received a message stating that my email was not recognised. I have contacted them twice by email but no response.
