I recently purchased a brand new, OEM speedometer for my BMW R1150GS from James Sherlock, and I couldn't be happier with the entire experience. Despite a minor initial niggle where the wrong part was sent, it was all sorted out very quickly by the team.

Finding a brand new, high-quality instrument was a massive headache, I scoured the internet looking for one but no-one had stock, until I discovered James Sherlock showing stock available!
The part arrived incredibly fast, packaged securely enough to survive a round-the-world trip, and was in absolutely pristine condition.

The fit and finish were perfect, dropping right into the dash cluster exactly as it should.

Although my BMW R1100RT heated grip switch wasn’t listed in stock they went and found one and posted it immediately. Another parts company had let me down so they didn’t charge in this instance. I’m very grateful! Great service.

I lost a right side cover panel for a 1995 BMW r1100rt. Spent four days searching around the world for a replacement, I found just one that was in the US...£100!. BMW do not make them anymore. James Sherlock was recommended to me me by a BMW specialist. Thanks to Tracey, I had one within two days. My go-to guys going onwards regarding my bike... Thank you. Total cost was only £40 + postage. Highly recommend 👌

I have just had my 2005 R1200RT in for repair. This is the second time I have used James Sherlock and the service offered by James and his team is really excellent. I got to meet the mechanic who worked on my bike (thank you Steve), who explained what he thought the issue was and resolved it promptly. I had a loan bike while mine was being repaired. Good independent BMW garages like this are hard to find. Thank you so much.

I wanted to write a review and offer my support for James Sherlock as they are truly fantastic. I purchased an exhaust for my BMW motorcycle and there was a very specific part missing from the order.

I reached out to Alice via Ebay and the situation was resolved extremely quickly and exceeded my expectations beyond wht i could imagine. Thank you so much, you now have a life long customer and ill be back for more parts!

I've been getting various BMW parts form James Sherlock for a good many years now and always had great service.
Recently, I had been really struggling for some time to find a particular part and happened to spot one still attached to a full engine that was listed on the eBay site. A few messages were exchanged and the part was with me in no time, EXCELLENT..!!

First time dealing with this seller and I have to say 10/10 customer service. I was in need of a small motorcycle part which would normally come together with a much larger more expensive piece. I took the chance of asking if I’d be able to purchase just the singular piece I needed separately and was accepted right away with no fuss. May not seem like a big deal to some but I could’ve easily been turned away and I would’ve understood if so. One very happy customer, I’ll definitely be using again when I’m in need of any parts :)

I called James Sherlock having started a gearbox oil seal replacement on my R80/7 yesterday afternoon upon discovered a split bush that also needed replacing. Not only did they retrieve the required part from a matching gearbox (the part is no longer made new), but I received it this morning in the post!!!
PERFECT!!!

WOW finally a company that does what it says it will.
Super helpful, found the parts I needed and called me back a week later (as agreed) to confirm they are available. They had listed them on eBay at a sensible price too. Amazing service/buying experience, quick efficient and reasonably priced.
My sons Bullit Bluroc’s 125 cracked a piston like they do ! ( had done 9k ) so probably good for a cheap Chinese bike.
James Sherlock had 3 engines available one had only done 450 miles so I bought it and my sons bike was back on the road a few days later after 4 hours taking old engine out and new one in. The engine was like new, sounds like new and had all the bits on it like starter motor etc and was a good price compared to other much older engines and the postage was half the price too though in the end I picked it up so postage was refunded immediately.
What a great company and wonderful customer care with quick replies to the few eBay messages sent. Can fault them

Sorted my R1200GS out after another garage had looked and failed, fast efficient service, sensible pricing, very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
Will be back for all my GS services in the future, really nice people to work with.

Had an issue with the ABS on a 1200 GS.Phoned late Friday afternoon and told to drop the bike off Monday morning. All sorted in just over an hour. Very helpful and knowledgeable, will be booking the bike in with them for its next service. Excellent experience !!

Purchased motorcycle,it was as described and I'm happy with the it.

Sherlocks......Great to deal with no fuss and excellent delivery. we dealt with James and found him excellent and very knowledgeable around BMW motorbikes. Would definitely recommend ....

Called Sherlocks and spoke to James enquiring about a heated handlebar grip. He offered one with the electronic control wheel and when I said my control wheel is fine I just need the grip he suggested I buy the one with the wheel anyway. Then it got weird when I asked if he has the grip without as it will no doubt cost twice as much. He said "of course it will" before asking me which part number I needed. I said I thought you would know part numbers? Then he suggested I go on to oemparts.com and again I was puzzled as I had expected them to have the necessary parts knowledge? Then the wheels came off when he said "well I still have a couple of minutes to spare here so do you want me to look for you? At this point he was sounding smug, arrogant and very disinterested. So I apologised for wasting his precious time and suggested he give himself some training regarding the products he sells and how to sell them.
I called Motorworks who not only had the part but the necessary knowledge plus the people skills to treat customers like customers. Part on it's way and for a lot less than Sherlocks

Had a minor bump and they examined it for bent forks free of charge, Vertu BMW in Exeter wanted £132 per hour to look at it.
Whilst it was being looked at Hanna made me a coffee and brought out some of their stock of second hand front mudguards.
Couldn't have been more helpful.

Just had my r1250 gsa big service done and have to say what a good experience it was. Steve listened to what I needed done and sorted all the problems I had with the bike out. Had a lone bike whilst work was done. Had invoice the next day and had a query. They sorted no problem. Staff were great .
