The Jarrold store is absolutely fantastic…

The Jarrold store is absolutely fantastic, really well laid out and really nice to shop in. The newly refurbished lower ground floor deli is lovely, this along with a variety of excellent restaurants. The menswear section is not overly crammed with displays and has a nice flow when viewing, the ladies wear floor has a good spread of brands with a good staff ratio. The pop up stores are a nice addition with some great displays, all in all a great classy independent department store which is head and shoulders above the competition.

Called to collect my purchase in store at click and collect, the gentleman that served me bent over backwards to help can’t praise him highly enough! Unfortunately I didn’t get his name, credit to the company!

Excellent customer service

Really quick service and I received updates that let me know exactly what was happening. The order was in store ready for collection the day after I made the online order, very impressed they were able to work on it straight away.

Great online service at a great price

I had never heard of Jarrolds but when my item came up on a search far cheaper at Jarrolds than anywhere else, I decided to place an order, especially as it was a department store. I am so glad I did. Item arrived beautifully packed, on time and I was kept updated throughout the process. I would have no hesitation in using Jarrold's online service in the future.

Shocking and so disappointed

Shocking and so disappointed. Ordered a sofa in February and received it in mid September 2 months later than told and had to chase up several times to be told basically that the supplier doesn’t care.On arrival the footstool is the wrong colour, the seat cushion is too big for the chair, several plucks on the fabric, uneven padding and the chair is upholstered differently to the sofa.As you can imagine I am distraught and upset after spending £3500 I expected better. Went into the store with photos and now I’ve got to wait for someone to come out and look at it and wait another 12 weeks for the correct footstool and seat cushion.I am fuming at at this moment in time I just want it removed from my house. Have had superior service elsewhere in the past and I will never put myself through this nightmare again. Avoid at all costs unless you like poor customer service and dealing with a company that doesn’t care once they have your money.

What has happened to the Jarrolds…

What has happened to the Jarrolds restaurant on the 3rd floor. My mum and I both had a scone and coffee for the outrageous price of £12. The check out lady was unable to give cash change as no cash in her til, so we had to count out the exact coinage. The surroundings are shabby, the tables and crumbs underneath appalling and the striped carpet is filthy dirty and badly stained. You have now lost 2 of the small handful of customers you had. Never will we return to this disgraceful establishment which once used to be a very pleasant experience.

What a manicure! 5*

I have used the manicure team a few times this year, lastly 19 August and the service and quality of the manicurist is amazing. My last manicure, with normal polish still looks great over a week later of ‘normal life.’ The team are friendly and the experience is great, couldn’t be more pleased.

This is a lovely store with a wonderful selection of quality items from fashion to homeware. All the staff have always been friendly and helpful. Today, Sharon helped us with a purchase of cushions and bed throw she was absolutely lovely - many thanks.

Fantastic customer service and quick delivery

Fantastic customer service and quick delivery. Our estimated delivery was listed as 2 weeks on the website when ordering our outdoor furniture in the summer sale. However, we had a lovely call 30 minutes after placing our order to say our order will be delivered less than a week later! The delivery guys were excellent and gave some great advice on maintenance of the furniture. They assembled the furniture set within 20 minutes and advised how to dissemble if we needed to. They were extremely friendly and professional and a great asset to the Jarrold team!

Good experience, would use again

I was a little apprehensive about ordering as reviews are mixed. But it's a proper bricks and mortar department store and you can use Topcashback with them so I figured they are legitimate, just perhaps not as set up for online retail like other places.

The duvet I ordered was cheaper than anywhere else, dispatch was quick with Parcelforce tracking provided. I'm giving them 5 stars as there's no reason not to.

Excellent..

Was a little apprehensive about ordering some cricket items from a non-specialist sporting shop but needn't have worried. Items arrived the day after ordering, precisely as expected and at an excellent price. Very pleased with the purchase and service.

Placed an order yesterday after…

Placed an order yesterday after receiving poor customer service.

Also, the item I purchased was £9 dearer than the manufacturer themselves. So I queried this.

Today, I got an email stating that the item I purchased was sold out and my order has been cancelled.

I think this may be a record for the number of issues I’ve had with 1 company and in under 24 hours.

I’ve contacted c/s who don’t really care. So I’m leaving some feedback on here to hopefully discourage people from spending their money at Jarrold. Invest in the businesses that want to do well and want to please their customers.

It doesn’t take a lot but means a lot to be on the receiving end of good c/s.
