Superb service and advice
Superb service and advice from the Sheffield team following an unfortunate incident with an e-bike. Thorough crash assesment and minor repairs undertaken for a modest amount for labour and parts. Worth the 80mile return trip to deal with decent honest folk (and their dog!)

J E James at Rotherham have been amazing on all occasions I have gone there. Elise and Mick (hope I have your names correct) were especially helpful and go above and beyond to help you out. I have probably not been the easiest customer to deal with when I have bought my 2 bikes from there yet they are still amazing to work with and so helpful. I will definitely be going here again.

I dont write reviews often but I want to write a review regarding on my recently purchased experience on J E JAMES.The staffs, specially the warehouse staffs was very honest.They saw a very small cosmetic scratched from my bike order which is not very visible and yet still they informed me and given a discount options.

Hi Michael,
Sorry to hear you were not happy with your purchase. As you were likely told high value bikes do not come with pedals. This is manufacturer standard across the board and would be the same at any shop. We can supply some cheap starter pedals FOC which you were offered however you turned this down and asked us to send you £60 for pedals. Unfortunately we could not do this.
I can understand this isn't clear cut written online but that is due to the fact that it is mainly common practice / knowledge. This is even the same on Orbea's own website, there is no mention of pedals and none shown in the specification, just like on our site.
We did however offer to send you pedals, and also clarified that if you were not happy with the purchase you were also able to return it for a refund if you so wished. The cost would be incurred by yourself for the return as there was no breach of contract and you received the goods you had ordered. Therefore if you were not happy it would be on your own back to return it.
The offer for the FOC pedals still stands, if you do not wish to return the bike. Please let us know.

Bought a bike from J E James in…
Bought a bike from J E James in February and been so busy enjoying it I have just realised I didn’t write a review.
I have been having issues with arthritis in knees and had to take a look electric MTB which has always been a never have for me. I saw a bike that looked good and phoned the shop and spoke to Adam who was very professional and knowledgeable and is obviously a keen bike rider, he gave me some great advice and didn’t push for me to buy and said he could give me time to think about the bike we discussed.
He took the time to explain pros and cons of the lightweight bike not full power electric that I enquired about and the discussion ended with, get back to me if you need any further info.
I read reviews of bike and called back an hour later and he answered my queries which helped me decide this was the right bike for me.
I purchased the bike and had it delivered due to travel distance, excellent service from order to delivery and a couple of minor issues which Adam and his team resolved straight away.
Very impressive service from Adam and team so a big thank you from me for the 5 star service and apologies it is a bit late but the bike is awesome as stated.
Definitely recommend JEJames and order bits and pieces as and when required.
Bike is Orbea Rise and advice, price , etc was fantastic 👍

I had a broken bearing in a suspension…
I had a broken bearing in a suspension arm from essentially from a unknown brand bike
Which makes the repair more challenging, but Steve matched the bearing and swiftly saved the day with a high quality replacement bearing' he removed the old bearings and pressed the new ones in and did all this for a very reasonable cost much better then you would expect.

Fantastic customer service
Fantastic customer service. Helped my unload my sons bike from my car . Showed me how to safely remove and re fit his tyre should I need to ever take it back to be repaired. Couldn’t do enough to help me. Fixed the issue in 10 minus and charged me a 10th of what I had been quoted elsewhere. Amazing service and prices !

EMTB REPAIR
Bosch system on Orbea emtb would not switch on. Matt from jejames informed me it would cost £760 to repair. Despite being well out of warranty he managed to obtain a replacement motor foc from Bosch as a goodwill gesture. I cannot thank Matt enough for saving me £700 and being so delightfully helpful.
