I instructed Joe Da Silva following a strong personal recommendation, and his service was exemplary from day one. I had previously been working with another firm and the difference was night and day from the get-go. Joe was responsive, calm, and thorough. JMW and in particular my solicitor Karan Dave supported me for nearly 3 1/2 years of a malicious allegation made against me by an ex partner. Karan supported me throughout the process which sadly saw me before a jury at crown court. Karan and my Barrister Ciju, that was instructed, supported and guided me throughout making sure I was fully up to date on everything that was going on and made sure they made all relevant challenges when the CPS weren’t doing their job.
I cannot recommend the support and mentorship that Karan of JMW provided me. Even if it was a supportive text or phone call, Karan was professional, kind, empathetic and supportive through what I can only describe as the worst experience I have ever had to endure. This continued throughout the trial where I was vindicated and found innocent.

I had a great experience using JMW Solicitors and working with Laura Roche on my bike accident case. This was the first time I had to go through this process and Laura was very patient, informative, responsive and helpful from day 1. I initially contacted JMW solicitors for help regarding a clinical negligence claim. To be honest I didn't have a clue about what would happen or the process involved. I made a mistake coming up to a red traffic light - I'd spent a year driving through temporary traffic lights and the normal traffic lights had an orange 'out of use' sleeve over them. Then one night a right filter lane was coned off but the right turn filter light was still working, as I was between night shifts with insufficient sleep I got confused and turned out of my lane on the green light and the traffic light for my lane was at stop. JMW assisted me with my SJPN in order to limit my penalty to 3 points and a fine. Helen Kelsall and Olivia Diabell were a great assistance. I went with JMW as Helen was very impressive in her knowledge during our first discussion and I felt her knowledge and competence would assist me in my first driving offence after having had a clean licence for 37 years, I felt she could prevent me getting a driving ban and possibly losing my job.

I worked with JMW Solicitors on my UK Global Talent visa application as an electronic music producer from Iran. It was a long and complex process, but I am genuinely happy with the service I received.

After an initial refusal from the Arts Council, my legal team (Kaleem and the wider team) helped me prepare a strong reapplication. They provided clear guidance on how to fix the specific issues – updating my CV with precise dates, adding professional biographies to my letters of support, and submitting new media evidence that met the requirements.

The reapplication was successful, and I received my 5-year Global Talent visa.

There were some delays at the final stage with the new UKVI eVisa system, but I understand this was a technical issue with the Home Office, not with the firm. Throughout the process, my lawyers were responsive, professional, and patient – especially during difficult personal circumstances when I was away from home in Armenia.
