Sam came for a home visit. A most pleasurable experience; he brought two trikes, which gave a good overview of the company’s products. We were impressed by his technical knowledge of Jorvik’s products... See more

The UKs leading Adult Tricycle Brand. Jorvik Tricycles is born out of love. When James Walker’s father, Stuart, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, a tricycle was the best option for him to continue cycling. However, the market was limited, and the choices that did exist were outdated and expensive. The first ever Jorvik Tricycles trike was built to help James’ dad continue doing what he loves and so that mission continues – now focusing on supporting other people and their families who are looking for a reliable, aesthetically pleasing and affordable tricycle to help them keep their independence.

Jake was fantastic and really, really helpful! He talked us thoroughly through the bike and advised us on which was the best trike for my 86 year old mother-in-law! He let us test ride it as much as we like and showed us how to fold it, as well as how to use all the controls etc.
We can’t recommend him enough.
Thank you!

From the start of the process the team at Jorvik, both in person at the Southampton showroom and on the helpline, could have not been more helpful. Everything was tailored to my needs (stroke survivor with right side limited mobility) and they took the time to work out what they were! I never felt rushed. We picked the trike up and it was all set up before we took away, they even helped us load in the car. Thank you Jorvik team

Received the trike a couple of weeks ago. Service good, two minor problems on receipt of trike, soon sorted by Jorvik.
Still getting usee to riding a tricycle as opposed to a bike.
Very pleased so far.

The trike is unique and I’m enjoying it although only done 15 miles to date
I am curious how best to get it serviced near me. Who would be reliable and understand what it needs
I also am having trouble inflating the tyres
Thanks Steve

In 2020 I bought an earlier model of a Jorvik eTrike. I was disappointed in the product, but I felt that was mostly my fault in not having done due diligence when purchasing the product. There were no quality issues, but some design issues I should have looked at more closely before purchasing. Mea Culpa.
In 2023 I was looking for the frame number on the eTrike ,(for insurance purposes) so I emailed Jorvik asking where I could find the frame number. This email got no reply from Jorvik. I wrote off the lack of reply as a one-off issue and thought no more about it, but I was later to find that this was part of a pattern of poor communications with the company.
In 2026 I thought I would buy a another eTrike, but this time I would make sure I did more research before buying.
In the 6 years since I purchased my first Jorvik the prices of Jorvik eTrikes had more than doubled, although the newer models are a sophisticated beasts. There are some Chinese eTrikes on the market with prices much closer to what I spent back in 2020, and most UK produced eTrikes do in any case use Chinese components, but one would hope that a UK manufactured eTrike would have better local support than an eTrike imported from the other side of the world.
My other disappointment with the Jorvik that, compared to American or Chinese manufacturers, which give a great deal of detailed specification of their products, Jorvik only provides superficial highlights. Granted, specs are not everything, and this is where being able to test ride is important as it gives a feel for the more intangible aspects of the eTrike, not just what the numbers tell you, but both are important.
Because the web site had so little details meant that I could not easily short list which eTrikes I wanted to look without lots of conversations with people at Jorvik. In this matter the staff at Jorvik were friendly and helpful, and I explained that I wanted to try an eTrike: with 16 inch wheels; one with 20 inch wheels; and one with cadence sensors; and one with torque sensors.
One of the nice things about dealing with a UK company rather than a Chinese company was that one could arrange test rides. It cost £100 to arrange a test ride, but I felt that if I was looking to pay over £3K for an eTrike it would be churlish to quibble over £100 to test ride the eTrike.
Having discussed my requirements, and paid my £100, and I was assured that there would be a selection of eTrikes for me to try, including both cadence and torque sensor eTrikes. When the day came for the eTrike ride there arrived no eTrike with torque sensors. The test comparing an eTrike with 16inch and 20inch wheels was valuable, but the lack of eTrike with torque sensors meant I was not able to make a judgement as to which was more suitable for me.
I sent a WhattsApp message to Jorvik expressing my disappointment and I expected some sort of response, maybe explaining what happened, maybe suggestion what mitigation we could look at, yet I received no reply.
This is the pattern I have seen with Jorvik. On the personal level, they are friendly and helpful; but in terms of internal communications within the organisation they are hopeless.
This compares poorly with a Chinese eTrike company I am exchanging emails with. Whenever I email the Chinese company I get a ticket number, and that ticketing system guarantees that I will get a reply to me email.
To be fair, Jorvik is not the worst in the matter, there is another European eTrike company which seems to provide 100% guarantee of ignoring my emails, so Jorvik is at least an improvement upon that.
My opinion of the eTrikes themselves that they were well built, and as far as the test ride went it was useful but I was very disappointed that I could not test an eTrike with torque sensors.
I felt that buying from a UK supplier at a very premium price was only justifiable if one also receives premium service; and I felt the organisation (not the people but the organisation) fell short of being premium.

Went up to York and tried a trike out. Very impressed on te quality of the trike and the whole experience. No pressure sales no instant discounts if you sign now, no “I’ll speak to my manager” just good professional team and backup. Ordered one there and then it was delivered Wednesday as promised. The bike is for my wife but I might go and order one for myself

Second visit to Jorvik Southampton last Monday to decide which bike I had finally decided on. Terry and Jake so helpful, even to the extent of folding it down to prove that it really did fit in the back of my Honda Jazz!!
A little concerned that the new Jordic range, announced later on that same Monday appears not to include a mid powered model but still hoping I chose correctly. Very excited awaiting its arrival and to fit my already purchased Hi-Tail to the rear carrier!!. Thanks guys

Jake was really helpful, explaining about the different models and it was great to try out the different trikes on the indoor track

I have only recently unpacked my tricycle - which I managed to put together despite limited dexterity in my left hand - and I am loving practicing on it.
This tricycle will reopen a world of adventure for me and I am so excited!

Delivery not by jorvik but independent carrier, the trike was adapted to my requirements, trying to get to talk the right person to fix the problem was like trying to book an appointment with a doctor with the receptionist not helping at all, after care needs looking into my reverse not working, don't know if it's me or a problem with trike waiting for call off technician

I went for a trial ride on Jorvik tricycles at the Southampton/Eastleigh branch yesterday. It has a good selection and I tried several on the indoor track there. The salesman, Jake, was very knowledgeable and professional and extremely patient! The range is quite extensive with various options and colours.I’m really looking forward to the delivery of my chosen tricycle so I can enjoy the freedom of cycling again-having health issues I haven’t been able to ride a 2 wheel bike for some time. I thoroughly recommend anyone thinking of trying one.

My husband and I went to the Jorvik showroom in York to see if it would be possible for me to ride an electric trike. I have been living with a neurological condition for 21 years and have deteriorating mobility, and wanted to find something that would keep me active.
We were welcomed by Sam, who helped me to get into the building and then made us a lovely drink (he makes good tea!) and we sat about 10 minutes while he finished his lunch (we had turned up early for our appointment).
Sam asked about my needs, what I was looking for and then invited me to try a trike that he thought would be suitable for me. I said that I needed a seat with a backrest, and self levelling pedals with stirrups. He fitted these onto a trike before invited me to try it out. I was devastated that I couldn't get onto it - but that didn't phase him - he asked me to re-take my seat and he fitted another (lower) seat. He explained the equipment on the trike and then suggested that I have a go at riding it around the indoor track. I loved it! I hadn't ridden a bike in many years, and this gave me loads of confidence. During the trial every question that we asked was asked was answered fully and in language that we could understand.
I ordered the trike after I had taken time to think about it at home. There was no pressure at all put on me to order it while I was at the showroom.
The trike arrived, but sadly I found there was a fault with the electrics. I called the company, and the following day, Sam came to my home and sorted the problem out by fitting a replacement motor. (It's a 2 hour trip to my home, so I was really impressed!) Sam is a lovely man, patient, caring and clearly very knowledgable about his job. He is an asset to the company - and the company is an asset to Britain. The company cares about its customers and goes the extra mile to ensure that the buyer experience is perfect.
I am looking forward to many miles of happy cycling on my trike. It has really improved my life.
