I cannot recommend this company. I have not had a good experience.
Knowingly sent a CCJ to an address they or their client knew categorically that I didn’t live at so they could get an undefended judgement. Is this illegal? Their client knew as I had signed a notary document 250 miles away in Truro previously for the sale of a property. Now have a copy of the judgement which is a pack of orchestrated rubbish. Can you trust them?
Absolutely awful, this company was appointed executors by our parents, so we had no choice in the matter of using them. Its been 41 months since father died, and they have dragged their feet all the way, we have had to chase for updates, every few months in-spite of including the boss in the emails they haven’t had the courtesy to reply, they have been paid in full, so obviously no rush to finalise the estate. Father would be very upset if he knew the way his estate has been handled and the way we have been constantly ignored. Use them at your peril.
I have nothing but praise for this firm of Solicitors.
They have just wound up my sister in law's estate and they have been absolutely amazing from start to finish.
They were both efficient and professional and kept me up to date at all times.
I cannot fault them, so much so
that I have now made them joint Executors of my Will.
I dreaded dealing with solicitors but they made the whole process simple and worry free.
I definitely highly recommend this firm.
Just had the displeasure of dealing with this unprofessional company. On my part I was late with a payment for the grand total of £13.46 yes that is the amount, late due to the standing order not paying because it was below the amount set to pay, so I received a letter from these people DEMANDING payment. The payment was 5 days late when they sent the letter and I got it on March 1st threatening legal action for a debt of less than £14. Considering the urgency stated in the letter it took me all day to get through to them and when I did I got the voicemail of a rather sad sounding former employee. I then had a rather unpleasant conversation with a receptionist who really needs to go on a people handling course as her phone manner was disrespectful. Still at least I paid the massive all consuming fee to this bunch of sharks. If you feel the need to ever use these or get a letter from them about a debt go back to your creditor and try to deal with them instead do not use these people
Used J&P for conveyancing - on reflection, one of the worst decisions I have ever made. Zero urgency, mistakes and delays at almost every juncture that ultimately cost me thousands.
Would strongly urge anyone thinking of using them for conveyancing to run a mile.
What a complete bunch of unprofessionals!
Completely useless at sending out paperwork and really hard to get hold of!
I’ve had to chase in order to get payment details (still waiting); this was stipulated by the judge and should have be sent out weeks ago.
I didn’t receive the paperwork for the court case because they sent it out late; it arrived after the case!
Avoid these solicitors at all costs!
Judge & Priestley are an absolute joke of a company. They contacted me regarding an issue demanding payment. I explained to them why I didn't owe this payment and therefore I didn't hear anything from them. A few months down the line I receive further contact from them saying this issue cannot be left outstanding and demanding payment. Once again I explained why I did not owe this payment, to which I didn't hear anything from them again. A few months pass with no contact to which I then receive a further letter explaining that if I continued to leave this matter outstanding then I will be taken to court. I explained to them it was not me but themselves that have constantly left the matter outstanding but they ignored this point and explained my case handler had stopped working for them. I asked why it hadn't been taken up by a new case handler and as to who the new handler was, and why they hadn't been in touch to explain the situation. Again my questions were ignored. In particular was a lady called Amber Waters who was not interested in answering any questions I had, not interested in listening as to why I didn't owe the payment, had no personal skills and was quite rude at times. They put extreme pressure onto myself for payment and caused an incredible amount of stress to myself and my family. This company should not be used.
DO NOT USE THIS SOLICITORS!!!
Completely incompetent and issued a CCJ incorrectly. Now they do not want to know. Completely destroy lives!!
Now taking this legal. They should not be in business.
