If you are to take anything from this review it’s to avoid these con artists like the plague! If you want details of why… read on!
We went to view and buy our vehicle in April 2025 and were told we weren’t allowed to test drive or negotiate any type of price as that’s “not what they do”. Instead they said “we ensure that all our cars are sold at the highest standard with any errors/issues corrected and it is detailed to the highest standard”. Having seen all their vehicles on the forecourt and ultimately being shmoozed by the salesman we avoided the screaming red flag and moved forward with the deal. (Hindsight hey?)
When we looked around the vehicle a couple of warning lights flashed up on the dash, one being the automatic tow bar. It seemed jammed and we were reassured it would be fixed before collection. We arranged for the following weekend.
Friday came and we received a call to say they couldn’t fix the tow-bar and it needed new. We had 2 options, wait 6months for a genuine part or they could fit the highest quality detachable tow-bar. We agreed to the detachable option as long as the automatic tow-bar deploy buttons were capped and the warning lights dealt with. (We at no point requested compensation for a downgrade). We were told we’d have to wait until the following weekend for collection. Friday arrived and we phoned to check all was ok. We were told unfortunately the garage was waiting for the new coding from Audi to reboot the car. Again delayed another week. The following week we chased them up again as we had yet to hear anything. Friday we received a call to inform us the car was ready for collection but the warning lights had come back on when being driven back to the garage. They reassured us it was a simple fix and just needed the codes clearing but needed to go to an Audi dealer to do this. They told us to take it to our nearest Audi Garage and they’d pay for the costs. We requested email confirmation and proof of this and, after picking it up, booked it into our local Audi garage. Buttons were also not capped like asked.
When Audi took a look at the car they investigated and told us there was nothing they could do in regard to removing the warning lights. It needed an automatic tow bar or the car would continue to “search” for one. We got a second and third opinion to ensure it wasn’t Audi wanting their genuine parts and all garages agreed.
When it come to paying for this work Junction 17 were a nightmare! We were told the guy we initially dealt with was off sick, and the others in the garage didn’t know about it. We showed the email from their sick colleague and were passed to payments, who also refused to pay. After much back and forth and intervention from the Audi Garage themselves we were told the balance had been paid. 2 days later Audi had not received anything. We chased the garage up again who refused any knowledge of a payment or even seeing the invoice. Finally, someone from the Rugby branch phoned to pay directly over the phone.
We got the car home and immediately raised an official complaint via email. Their warranty company contacted us later and said they were going to investigate. 4 weeks later after chasing repeatedly we received Junction 17s final response. They refused to cover the costs of any new tow bar to rectify the issue of warning lights stating we “collected the vehicle in its condition aware of the issues”. The warranty company were also not willing to assist further.
In the meantime we had yet to receive our V5C. When looking into this we found it was eventually issued in August… 4 months after purchasing the vehicle.
After seeking advice we finally approached our bank, who investigated and upheld our complaint, sorting the issue! Junction 17 have never acknowledged our complaint as per their policy and have been a joke throughout. If you purchase a car with any issues I wish you nothing but luck, but note how all negative reviews are as a result of their inability to uphold customer service and satisfaction. Positive reviews seem to be those that got lucky!

I think this is a family run business as everyone was so nice. did not feel like I was being sold to and the lady Leonie was so friendly. only after about 30 minutes I realised she owns the place! felt like I was getting VIP service.
thank you for advising and giving best advice for the car within my budget. I really appreciate your honesty and guidance.

I'll be honest if I could give them zero stars that's exactly what I would do. This was the worse experience I've had with a dealer and I've had multiple. This dealer I wouldn't recommend to buy a hot wheel from let alone a car. Shocking dealer they are unprofessional and full of excuses I purchased a car and immediately felt problems when on the motorway as it was too late to go back because of the time and me living over 100 miles away I had to slowly drive it back home. I dealt with one man advised the issues and then the day it was meant to be rectified 5 days later he funny enough left the business at 12 after I had spoken to him at 9 that day,it then took 2 weeks for a resolution dealing with another party leaving me carless in the end he haggled on getting repairs done didn't offer any compensation or even to pay for the tow that I had to pay to get the car recovered or my public transport payments for the length of time I was careless and offered minimal and cheap rectifications to get the car fixed at this point I was out of options as carless and had to agree. The car had coke cans in the back and the alloys were all cracked and welded and shocked they let it leave the showroom. They attempted to state BMW provided false information when they deemed the car unsafe and not to be driven. Aftercare is poor and non existent and I would recommend before being put in a situation of begging for a rectification just avoid at all costs.** UPDATE since the writing of this review I was contacted by apparently the head man at Grantham and Peterborough branch I will not name him but initial Mr D who refused to accept to liability wanted to pass the buck went back and forward and in the end offered a measly incentive/ bribe to take the review down.

Staff extremely unhelpful! Never got a call back after leaving a message. Worse experience I’ve had buying a new car. Wouldn’t ever go back!
They even re listed the vehicle without informing me and without giving me my holding deposit back.
Just stay clear and buy from somewhere else.

I recently collected a vehicle with my son from Junction 17 Grantham. The start of the process was a little rushed as I felt all they wanted was a deposit. However once I got to the showroom I dealt with Luke who directed me into the showroom to view the vehicle. It was clean and presented well, and Luke was very easy and chilled to deal with. We went for a test drive in which he told us not to rush and enjoy it which was refreshing and but us at ease. A couple of little bits my son wanted sorting, so we agreed a deal and collected it a few days later. All the work agreed was done to a high standard and we have the car for the last 3 weeks with no issues at all. Overall, I would buy a car from Luke & there Grantham Branch again. I've put 5 stars as i'm sure they have there reasons for pushing for deposits, but my little advice would be to allow me to ask all the questions I have 1st before rolling into that.

I am extremely disappointed with the service we’ve received. This has been the worst experience we’ve had when buying and maintaining a car.
We purchased a car from you on finance, and the issues started immediately.
We were allowed to drive away with a private number plate still on the vehicle, and it then took over a week to sort out a new plate because you failed to provide the V5 handbook.
Shortly after, the service notice came up on the car, meaning we had to arrange a service far sooner than expected.
We are still waiting for the panoramic sunroof trim to be repaired. We have been going back and forth via email and phone, and every time it seems like progress is being made, communication suddenly stops on your end.
We also discovered the car does not have a spare tyre, which we were not informed about at the time of purchase.
Additionally, we were not told that the car requires AdBlue, which is essential information for running and maintaining the vehicle properly.
This level of service is unacceptable. We expect these issues to be resolved promptly and for communication to be consistent and professional.

My experience with Junction 17 has been nothing short of a nightmare.
I purchased a vehicle from them which was represented as being in excellent mechanical condition. Within days of taking ownership, the vehicle developed serious faults, including overheating and repeatedly entering limp mode. While visiting family, I found myself stranded 180 miles from home. After contacting Junction 17 for help, I was told there was nothing to worry about and that the vehicle was safe to drive. I was forced to crawl home at 30mph in a vehicle that was later deemed unfit for sale and road use.
After being instructed by Junction 17 to obtain an independent diagnosis at my own expense, a specialist identified major mechanical faults and estimated repair costs of between £5,000 and £6,000. Juction 17 said they would take the vehicle back for repairs which I later found out they made no attempt at fixing it as the vehicle came back to me with the same issues!
The vehicle was eventually inspected by an independent engineer appointed by the finance company. They found the vehicle was not mechanically fit for sale or road use. The finance agreement was cancelled by the finance company, and all payments and my deposit were refunded for the vehicle purchased.
Unfortunately, that was not the end of the matter. Junction 17 had agreed to settle the outstanding finance on my part-exchange vehicle but failed to do so. Months later, I discovered the finance was still active when I attempted to purchase another vehicle and was refused finance as a result. I continued making payments on a vehicle I no longer owned because Junction 17 had not honoured their agreement.
Even after being instructed by the finance company to resolve the matter, Junction 17 failed to act promptly. It ultimately took months and repeated chasing before the finance was finally settled.
When Junction 17 eventually attempted to reimburse me for the finance payments I had made on my trade-in, they couldn't even calculate the correct amount owed. Their figures were inaccurate, failed to include all amounts due, and did not account for additional costs and interest that I had incurred because of their delays. When the errors were pointed out, communication largely stopped.
To make matters worse, there appears to be no effective complaints procedure. I made it clear when my complaint was sent and when they had to issue thier final response. This fell of deaf ears as a final response was never received.
The situation became so difficult that I had no choice but to escalate my complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service. The Ombudsman upheld my complaint and I was awarded a full refund and additional compensation.
The only silver lining of this whole situation is that Close Brothers Finance are willing to help thier customers and without their assistance, I doubt I would've received any help/refund.
Do not buy anything from this scam company known as Junction 17!

Extremely disappointing experience with Junction 17 Cars.
I paid a deposit to reserve a vehicle and was led to believe everything was in place for me to travel and complete the purchase. As I was facing a 4–5 hour journey, I contacted the dealership the day before I was due to collect the car to confirm everything was still on track and to avoid any unnecessary disappointment.
During that conversation, I was told that the member of staff who had taken my deposit had apparently failed to book me in for collection or properly record the arrangement. Despite taking my money, the reservation was not handled correctly, and I was then informed that the vehicle had been sold to someone else.
This was incredibly frustrating. I had done everything asked of me, paid a deposit in good faith, and made arrangements for a lengthy trip, only to discover at the last minute that the car was no longer available due to what appears to have been an internal communication or administrative failure.
To make matters worse, I was told my deposit would be refunded, yet I am still waiting to receive it. Having a car sold from under you after paying a deposit is bad enough, but then having to chase for the return of your own money only adds to the frustration.
The whole experience has been a waste of time and effort and has left me with very little confidence in the way Junction 17 Cars manages reservations and customer communication. If you are considering buying a vehicle from them, I would strongly recommend getting every detail confirmed in writing and not assuming that paying a deposit guarantees the vehicle will be held for you.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Junction 17 Cars

Junction 17 have a complete disregard for the rules surrounding GDPR. Today my wife received a letter from a potential Junction 17 customer who wanted to buy a car that they had acquired from the dealer she had sold it to. He wanted the service history as Junction 17 couldn’t provide it as they didn’t have any. Long story short Junction 17 gave my wife’s name and our address to him which they definitely shouldn’t have. Junction 17 seem to have had a flagrant disregard when it comes to our GDPR concerns. i had a response from them telling me that they ‘ have conducted a legitimate interest assessment which includes the purpose test, the nessecity test and the balancing test and found that we do have a legitimate interest in passing your details to the new buyer. We have also had advice from our legal council who has advised us that we do have a legitimate interest to pass on previous owners details. If you do have any issues, we would suggest contacting the dealer that you sold the car to if you are after some financal compensation. So in summary they are suggesting that they can give any stranger that comes to their showroom any previous owners names and addresses. Oh no you can’t.
I will be seeking legal advice.
