think hard before doing business with this company

The car was a nice car and I decided to buy it, I left a £500 deposit , when I returned home I realised I had made a mistake , when the finance company said they would not deal with them because of poor customer reviews in the past , so I called the same night some 3 hours after , there was no answer and the mail box was full , so I left a message on there site , no response , so I emailed them the next day , still no answer , so after 3 day I called and spoke to a very nice lady , who said a manager would have to talk to me , I told her I could not talk to anyone as I am at work and all they need to do is refund my £500, I then got a email saying they are looking into it and what action they are going to take over my deposit , I suggest thinking hard before doing business with this company , this review is made my Andrew Morris not Paula

I would not trust their garage

I would like to warn people about the quality of workmanship that Junction 17 have in their Peterborough branch. I bought an XKR really nice car really happy to pick it up. It had an issue with the seats when I viewed the car where as they would not adjust and both seats were nearly horizontal. I agreed to buy the car if they could get seats fixed. The day I picked car up seats were in an upright position so sale went through. When I was a few miles down the rd I was sure there was an odd noise so I got out and looked under the car and found that the engine under tray was hanging off! Luckily there was a garage insight of where I stopped so limped into them so they could take a look. They managed to cable tie it up for me as it had been damaged beyond repair garage told me that whoever had worked on it last had not fastened up properly. I informed Junction 17 who said they would fix it. Before I managed to get back to them I found the passenger seat would only recline and not come back up. So this was added to be done by their garage. They did put a new under tray on but could not fix the seat they just disengaged it by pulling lever (pulling seat forward so access to back is gained) they then put chair fully back and rested seat against rear column this was in a semi upright position but not locked in with gearbox controlling incline( not sure it even safe to use like this) having lost faith with ability of their garage I asked for money back for service plan I had bought for three services, But they would not entertain this at all. If you are buying a car from this sale centre I would strongly recommend be be that you do not take out their service plan and indeed do not use their garage.

ABSOLUTELY STEER WELL CLEAR OF THIS…

ABSOLUTELY STEER WELL CLEAR OF THIS DEALER!!
Purchased a vehicle which developed multiple faults shortly after purchase, including warning lights, limp mode, and confirmed fault codes from an independent garage.

I exercised my right to reject the vehicle within 30 days under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and returned the car to the dealer. Since then, the experience has been extremely frustrating.

There have been repeated delays, inconsistent information, and a lack of clear communication throughout. The vehicle was not inspected within the timeframe originally advised, and I have been left without both a car and the funds used to purchase it for a prolonged period.

I was also informed that an independent inspection had been arranged, however when I contacted the company directly, they had no record of any booking or enquiry.

Due to the lack of resolution and ongoing delays, I am now proceeding with a County Court claim to recover the funds.

Overall, this has been a very stressful and disappointing experience. I would strongly advise others to avoid completely.

Junction 17 Brokerage service

I approached Junction 17 to sell my GT 86, being a sports car it needed to be sold in the right market, I tried selling locally and on Ebay but with no luck. I was sent the required paperwork which I signed and returned. I dropped my car off on Friday at 1pm by 5pm the car was reserved and by the following Tuesday the car was sold. The communication through the whole process was amazing keeping me informed at every stage and to sell it that quick was just remarkable.

Great Service - Highly Recommended

I’ve used Junction 17 on a few occasions to sell my cars, using their brokerage system. On all occasions I’ve been exceptionally pleased with the service I have received and also the return (financial). Jamie, who works within the brokerage department has always been brilliant throughout and has always kept me updated with progress. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this service to anyone.

Stay away from Service Packages

Literally never write bad reviews however be very careful taking the service package.
Pressured into getting this (For nearly £1k extra!) even though I live in Leeds and didn't want it. Promised there would be a garage opening in York that i'd be able to take it to which doesn't actually exist. Told its 2 services a year as a BMW needs to be well looked after. It's actually just 1 major service and 2 minor services across the entire 36 month package.
Now won't offer a refund or any help other than.. get the car to Peterbrough.
Oh, and that do I have that conversation written down or recorded, because its a salesman thats told you that... Sorry, so i should expect to be lied to by your salesmen!?. Bonkers.
Seem very helpful and nice when selling you a car but after sales package and care a joke.
Won't be buying from these guys again.

Absolutely shocking experience with…

Absolutely shocking experience with Junction 17 Cars.

Within a week of buying the car, an engine warning light came on. I reported it straight away and was told by their Rugby branch it “just needed resetting.” No proper investigation, no real fix just a quick reset to brush it off.

Unsurprisingly, the same fault has now come back a few months later, proving the issue was never dealt with properly in the first place.

Now they’re refusing to take responsibility and trying to hide behind the warranty company, which has rejected the claim. This is completely unacceptable the fault was reported immediately after purchase, so it should have been properly diagnosed and fixed by them at the time.

To make things worse, I was told to take the car to a garage for repair, only for them to then refuse the work. Total waste of time and completely unprofessional.

I live over 3 hours away from them, and I’ve now been left without a car for almost a week, which I rely on for work. The lack of care or urgency from their side is unbelievable.

It genuinely feels like I’ve been fobbed off just long enough for them to avoid their responsibility. Once they’ve got your money, you’re on your own.

No accountability, no proper aftercare, and no interest in resolving the issue.

Took my deposit

Took my deposit, and then offered me embarrassment money for my car trading in. Didn’t have the decency to come back to answer my Questions. Top dollar retail money for the car they were selling to me, however bottom dollar for my car. Please avoid people!!!!

Stay clear! Terrible service! Money Grabbers! A MONTH to get a £99 reserve fee refunded!

For a dealership offering such high end vehicles I was surprised at how poorly presented the cars were, scratched, bad paint jobs, dusty, fingerprints and cobwebs etc. and the 'Valeters' do a crap job (But so would I for what they're paid, to be fair)

I wasn't a fan of the pushy sales and the inability to take 'no' as an answer or listen when faults with the vehicle were pointed out.
There was a clear lack of knowledge about the vehicles and the history all they seemed interested in was pushing their bank details on to you.

Nothing was quick, We were kept waiting a lot for back office stuff to be done, finance arrangements dragged out over days.
Customer service was lacking, we spent hours at the dealership and after 4 or 5 hours eventually had to ASK for a coffee.

They get very funny with you if you want to view more than vehicle and literally have to sign a document agreeing to buy the car before they'll allow you to test drive.

Everything they do and say is about getting money out of your bank account and into one of theirs (there's about 5 different ones), tried to take a full deposit before the finance had even been approved, glad that I insisted i'd wait as it takes THREE weeks to get a refund from them. I'd think twice about 'reserving' a vehicle as they're in no rush to give that money back if you decide not to take it.

*** After 3 weeks of being fobbed off, I've recieved an email saying they're JUST processing a refund and it'll take 10 days. DO NOT reserve a vehicle unless you're happy to wait OVER A MONTH for money back ***

ZERO for customer service! The place is an absolute joke of an organisation.

In all the whole operation just felt somewhat amateur, dont let the shiny showroom fool you. Very very disappointed with every aspect of this encounter, wouldnt return. Shame, it COULD be amazing.

Deal done in a hr

We had previously contacted another company looking for a car, took the salesperson a week to get back to us with information.
Contacted junction17 on a weekend, by the same day, we had everything finalised with Brad and a date to come down from Scotland to collect the car.
Within an hr of sitting signing paperwork, I was on my way back to Scotland with our new car

After sales service very poor

Customer service was great when I was buying the car and I was very happy with the vehicle. The problems began afterwards. I had paid a deposit for the V5 which I sent to Junction 17 cars immediately I received. It had also been agreed that they would pay for a minor repair to the car. It then took nearly 3 months to get this money back. Phone calls were not returned, emails not replied to and eventually I had to send a letter before court which prompted an immediate response. After sales service was appalling and made it a very disappointing experience falling very short of what I expected.

Worst dealership I've ever used

Where do i start with how bad this place is! We travelled over 2 hours on Saturday 3rd Jan 2026 to look at a mini countryman for my wife, I'd asked on the phone if the car had any dents/scrapes/condition of tyres/overall condition/service due etc. We arrived and started to look around the car and after 15 mins were met with a (supposed) salesman Phillip, I noticed the car had a big dent in the rear passenger door, all 4 tyres were cracked and the car hadn't been serviced. I put all this info to Phillip and he just shrugged and stayed silent.
We felt deflated at the issues with the car as we'd made a 4 hour round trip, so when we sat down with Phillip i said the car needs at least a £1000 spending on it to put right. He went and spoke to his superiors and came back with a £500 reduction but then said there is the £250 admin fee to go on top! we refused this and said £1000 off no admin fee which he refused so we left it there and started the trip back home.
5 minutes after leaving Phillip rang and said they would accept the £1000 off so we went back sat down and started the paperwork. I said the car hasn't been serviced as advertised and he said one of the mechanics had reset the service light! I asked if the car was HPI clear which he said yes 100%. My wife transferred the full payment for the car and once Phillip had confirmed receipt he then told us they didn't have a logbook for it!!! I said you can't legally sell a car without the V5 and he said fill this v60 form out and go to the local post office to tax it which we did on the way home. Surprise surprise the tax failed 3 times at the post office so i rang Phillip and was told don't worry the cars already taxed, they would fill a form out and send to the dvla and we would have the v5 in 3-4 days.
When at home i checked the uk car tax laws which states its the owner that has to be taxed on the car.
We wouldn't dare to drive the car after reading this.
We didn't receive any log book by the Friday 9th Jan so my wife rang the DVLA to chase the form and they said they hadn't received anything and it could take 6 weeks and we couldn't drive the car until the V5 had arrived in our name and we could tax it! I then did a hpi check and found the car was still on finance with bmw! I contacted junction 21 only to get through to the robots on reception who would transfer me through to a voicemail of the person that deals with it or tell me the person i need to speak to doesn't work Fridays!
My wife sent an email of complaint to the business manager there with no reply.
I waited until the Monday 12th Jan and with my persistence got through to a sales manager Jamie, i explained everything to him and he agreed Phillip shouldn't have waited until the money was paid to inform us they had no V5, he said the hpi would be cleared that day and he assured me the v60 form had been sent off and the car was fine to drive taxed in someone else's name! i said the dvla had said otherwise and we wouldn't be driving the car. He said he would contact the dvla and come back to us, we received an email to say hpi had been cleared.
He came back to me on Friday 16th Jan to say if we sent him the payment for the tax he could tax it in my wife's name as he knew someone at dvla (all sounds dodgy) which we did and he sent proof that it was taxed under my wife's name on Monday 19th so at least we could drive it (2 weeks after buying it)
Another week passed and we eventually received an email reply from the business manager saying they had trouble getting the v5 from the previous owner and that we should fill in a V60 form and pay £25 for a lost V5 and they would reimburse so i called Jamie only to be told to ignore that email and the V60 form had definitely been sent to dvla. we waited until 6th Feb to contact dvla to be told they had never received a V60 form from the garage! another phone call with Jamie and he said the boss sent you an email telling you to fill in a V60 and pay the £25 i said you told us to ignore that email!! he said did i? (clueless)
So we filled in a new V60 on 6th Feb paying the £25 and sent an email receipt of the £25 which they took nearly a week to reimburse.
We finally received our logbook on March 27th nearly 3 months after buying the car! I wouldn't have another car from this place if it was free i wish id had read the reviews of customers with the same experience. This company just lie and cause unnecessary stress without a single apology. STAY WELL CLEAR
Sorry for the long review
