Poor customer service, not replying emails

Very disappointed that ive made the switch with this guys , it was just very pushy , they put me with a very low key insurance company, im paying the old one and the new one at the same time, the price agreed has changed, didnt get any back pay and now Jarryd doesnt answer to any email. Do yourself a favor and dont do business with this guys.

Standard telemarketing dishonesty

Standard telemarketing dishonesty. Spent 40 minutes on a call talking through my needs for health insurance, Jarryd found a policy with another health insurer that appeared cheaper.

Long story, short - it wasnt. When I spoke to the actual health insurance company, the policy Jarryd had signed my up for it was more expensive per month.

Surprise, Jarryd didnt return any emails after I'd signed up.

dont trust Justswitch

They called consistently after I inquired online to do a switch with my health fund. Once I finally spoke to Anthony for over half an hour, he said he found me a better deal of cover for the same price, so I agreed to switch. After receiving my policy and noticing the details of the cover were NOT as good as what he had said, I tried to call him back to cancel the switch.
I was unable to get through to Anthony; no other representative would help me, apparently, according to their policy i had to speak to Anthony. I asked to speak to a manager, but no manager would come to the phone. The rep said they would get Anthony to call me back, which took a whole day, and I called 4 times. I asked him to cancel the switch, he said he would, and I didn't need to do anything.
Then my account was debited by the new provider, so I had to call the health funds directly, which took over an hour of call wait times to try and cancel my policy, get a refund, and reinstate my old health cover. infuriating and time-wasting

Be mindful when comparing with Just Switch

Be careful when comparing or requesting new health insurance quotes. The initial quote I received appeared cheaper than my current premium, but it turned out to be incorrect, it included the wrong loading percentage and an incorrect Medicare rebate.

When I contacted Just Switch again to request an updated quote, the consultant asked for my current provider’s premium, noting that rates increase on 1 April. As I didn’t have that information at the time, the consultant stopped responding and did not provide the revised quote.

I later called back and obtained an updated quote with the correct loading percentage and Medicare rebate. However, the revised premium ended up being more expensive than my current health insurance.

I also found that Just Switch consultants can be quite pushy once they provide a quote and may try to get you to switch immediately. When I mentioned that I wanted time to think about it, they continued to apply pressure to proceed with the switch. I explained that I felt uneasy about moving forward straight away, but still felt that the consultant was being somewhat pushy.

Be wary

Be mindful - they gave us the wrong advice.
We switched from Defence Health to HCF health cover with Just Switch. They just do the switch, then you have to deal with all the problems yourself.
Just Switch did not communicate properly with our previous provider Defence Health about us closing our policy with them. We ended up paying for 2 health covers before I realised. I had to call the Defence health myself a few times before they closed our policy. Really poor switch from start to finish. They made a commission on doing the switch - but I could have made the switch myself much better!
Also Just Switch advised that HCF was cheaper - and yes initially was cheaper- but that is only because we were sold a cheaper cover on HCF! But then when we switched to the higher cover it costs the same, and we lost our waiting period. We had to wait again for the 12 month waiting period.
The new health provider is also harder to deal with. If you call them you have to chose many menu options, then identify your name, member number etc. several times before getting through.
(writing this review now after many months, only after realising recently that we lost our waiting period. )
