Love K12! Pulled my son from brick and mortar in 3rd grade due to some issues that were not being resolved. K12 has made a huge difference for him. He’s moving onto 6th this coming school year and I truly believe the curriculum is better than what he was receiving in brick and mortar.

I absolutely love this site because it is less than 10 minutes from my home, very friendly staff, and they offer water to us parents. The environment is safe.

My children and myself have not appreciated the change in the new learning site. My middle child is not as savvy as my other 2 so it’s just a lot of surfing everywhere to submit ticket codes in order to take quizzes and not all teachers include the recordings which have the codes in order to do the assignments. Lots of hoops to jump through in order to submit the work. I believe after a certain amount of time they should refresh the laptops b/c they lag and the chargers go bad and sometimes it takes too long they actually get into class. My children have been attending here since 2020 and it is not child and parent friendly.

My experience is great, the teacher's are super kind, learning is easier, and the staff are really helpful. But sometimes the application doesn't work or it's laggy.

We love FLCCA, especially our teachers, and we have been part of this school for almost six years. However, I am giving it only four stars because the new K12 platform they are using complicates everything and is quite time-consuming. Even now, with the school year almost over, it remains challenging for us as learning coaches and for the kids. I understand that this issue is not FLCCA’s fault, but it has certainly been a struggle.
Additionally, I was disappointed when the school removed the FLEX program. Not all kids learn in the same way; some are quick learners who have a learning coach to assist them and can work independently. This was one of the main reasons we chose K12. The FLEX program helped us complete homework more efficiently and allowed us to explore additional lessons or participate in community programs. I sincerely hope they will consider reinstating the FLEX program.

the communication and the academic, how the teacher or school always checking on the student and helping in anyway they can

It's a nice school but there should be more sponsored activities so the kids can socialize.

First and foremost, I want to emphasize that not all teachers are the problem, but some lack effective communication with students and parents. Teachers often fail to assign appropriate assignments and then make changes that are unfair to the students. The workload assigned weekly is excessive, with some teachers giving 3-4 Ixl lessons plus 2-3 I ready lessons per week, leaving students unable to study and prepare for tests and school diagnostics. Remember, there are more than one teacher using these platforms to assign work on a daily/weekly basis. Also, small groups why are they constantly having student work on I ready minutes? Small groups was assigned for “extra help” but a student already works on their own completing their i ready minutes. By the end of the week, my students have well over 45 minutes per subject it is 100 minutes just for one subject.
Furthermore, the principal fails to reprimand teachers appropriately when issues arise. Even after addressing these problems directly with the principal, some teachers continue to behave inappropriately. Additionally, I believe class scheduling could be improved, especially on Fridays.
Another area for improvement is the lack of field trips and the absence of a fifth-grade and eighth grade ceremony. These events are important for recognizing and celebrating the achievements of fifth and eighth graders before they move up to middle school and high school.
Lastly, there are instances where students are sleeping in front of cameras, even in the younger grades, and boys are not wearing shirts. Teachers make excuses for these students, which is unacceptable.

Most of the teachers are friendly and make learning fun. Though there were issues with the IEP/504 learning plan that was put into place for my child and some of the teachers don't follow that.

This is a great option for a public school curriculum in a homeschool environment. Teachers hold students accountable for their work. Classes are interactive and fun for the students. This is our second year and we will continue to attend FLCCA.

Amazing school. It’s hard to find a school where everyone cares about your child’s education. They even offer tutoring and test prep.

I don't like how the system constantly keeps the students behind. It makes the students feel as if they are not progressing when they are expected to be in class every day working just to be told at the end of the week ten assignments are overdue because the system is not acknowledging they have been done. I also do not like the fact that the students fall behind in learning because the teachers are just teaching reading literature out loud but,not actually making sure the students are understanding until it's time for testing and then they are already way behind& have to do extra and be put in special classes. Its not fare to the student
