I loved the flexibility. The only thing we didn't like much is that some teachers cancel classes a lot. Some classes, like cooking and physical education, aren't very practical. Otherwise, it's excell... See more

My son is doing better in school, he is willing to get up and be in the online classes, public school he was getting sick every morning throwing up and not wanting to go to the school. His grades have gone up to As and Bs. He’s actively learning and then telling me about the information he’s learn especially history.
Couldn’t imagine putting him back into public school after having him learn in an online school.

My son has been a student at insight for 4 years now. This school absolutely changed his life. He is now an
Honor roll student full of confidence.

Love the flexibility of it and I get to learn with them so I can help them with work rather then them in school coming home with home work and me not knowing what to do.

After terrible experience at our local high school. We decided our son’s mental health (admin and teacher harassment, multiple suicides) and education was more important and we enrolled at Insight.
Best decision ever as our son graduates in June!!!

Our girls love K12! We've been doing online school for 4 years now and it's been a great experience. Lessons are easy to follow. The daily workload seems just right. The flexibility is the best part of this school. Dad has a crazy work schedule, so we make family time a priority. You can totally take school with you wherever you are. All you need is internet. K12 Zone is a wonderful treat. They enjoy interacting with other students/making friends. Our girls also do dance and are learning guitar & violin, so it's a nice balance. We love K12 for our family.
I appreciate the good communication from teachers and staff.
The only suggestion from our girls is maybe different fun interactive games within the lessons. Just to change it up. I'm guessing because they've seen the same ones for a few years now.

We've done homeschool, online school AND public school and ISWA is by far the worst of the bunch. First, we picked ISWA because they had a coding pathway that would allow my son to earn certifications in coding. The admissions people couldn't figure out the prerequisite classes he needed resulting in him taking a bunch of useless classes that he didn't need and he missed out on classes that he wanted to take. Next, the English department is TRASH. They used TurnItIn software to determine that everything my son wrote was AI and refused to grade his assignments. He would have to rewrite essays 4 or 5 times just to get anything graded. They admitted via email that they never actually read his assignments. They just ran it through unreliable software. This is against OSPI regulations and I filed a formal complaint. Teachers regularly took weeks/months to grade assignments or answer questions but expected immediate response from students. Heavily weighted finals were due 2 days before graduation meaning we didn't know if he would graduate until the very last minute and it was so stressful that he decided to not walk at graduation. Thanks for robbing us of that milestone ISWA! Some assignments were not graded at all until after graduation which is just stupid. ISWA killed my son's faith in education and he has sadly decided NOT to pursue higher education as a result of his experience with ISWA. I have 2 other children doing online school and I refused to enroll them in ISWA because of our experience. Run far away from Insight School of Washington!!!!
