We have been a part of KYVA for 2 years now and we love it. The communication from teachers and staff is so good and we are notified of everything that is happening. The school work is easy to navigate once you get used to it and if there are any issues, messaging teachers for help is easy to do! We will continue being a part of KYVA for as long as possible! We highly recommend and we have told a few others that are interested in virtual schooling!

We left the k12 virtual school because my students teachers called cps on us mulitiple times and twice within the last two months. One was over spring break not even 2 days after returning from the hospital due to a family emergency

My son does not receive the support that he should. The teachers are more focused on rather or not his camera is on, he gets kicked out of classes for this and then counted as absent for the class. I have told every teacher he has had for the past two years that he struggles with social anxiety and depression from being bullied which is why he’s been homeschooled, I have documentation from his doctor supporting this and STILL no one cares. I’ve had teachers flat out tell me “it’s policy there is nothing I can do about it” and that is so unprofessional. I understand that this is a public school program but the teachers do not have to operate like it’s some low grade public school. This will be my sons last year with K12 because I have 100% had enough.

I can honestly say our experience with virtual school has been such a positive one for our family.
For my child, this environment has made all the difference. With ongoing medical needs, having the flexibility to learn from home has allowed him to stay on track without constantly worrying about missed days or falling behind. His health is protected, and that peace of mind is priceless.
Beyond that, the supportive structure and pace of virtual learning have helped rebuild his confidence after difficult experiences in a traditional school setting. He’s able to focus, participate, and truly engage in learning without the fear and stress he once carried.
The teachers have been understanding, responsive, and genuinely invested in their students’ success. Communication is clear, and I feel involved in my child’s education in a way I never did before.
Virtual school has given my child a safe, stable, and encouraging place to learn—and as a parent, that’s all I could ask for. It’s not just working for us… it’s helping my child thrive.

Such an amazing school!
Our daughter has thrived here at KYVA and is doing better online then in traditional in person learning. The teachers set a strict schedule and area always there to assist our daughter and/or us whenever needed. I would highly recommend KYVA.

The staff is the most empathetic and supportive people I have encountered within a school. My child has enjoyed his experience and education while with KY Virtual. The attendance process is my only downside. We have had some rough experiences with this issue but overall a great school.

A lot of technical problems. And some miscommunication. Like the teachers. A lot of work for a third grader.

Some of changes from last years system are not as engaging for my youngest child this yr and we still get a bit lost navigating. However, it’s been a great experience.

The teachers work really well with my daughter. She is passing with straight As and Bs now due to KYVA.

This school has provided my son with a more focused access to learning to meet his needs with his ADHD condition. He was able to get refocused and locked in. He will be graduating with all A’s. I’m so grateful God allowed me to find this opportunity right in the nick of time to have the most impact on my son’s life.
Thank you so much God, and all involved on his journey.

Some assignments are still hard to find. My son got a zeros on assignment because he couldn’t find it and when he ask for code couldn’t get it because his camera wasn’t working.

Just amazing as usual this is the second year my sons been enrolled. He’s thriving and loving the school and community. Teachers are wonderful and kind. The schedule is really great as it gives time to do things during the day, so the kids don’t feel forced in front of a screen all day but still learn plenty!

I love how my children love school and I am extremely happy with the schools curriculum. The teachers are easy to communicate with and always are open to help and make sure my children succeed. KYVA was the best decision I could have ever made for their education. They are more advanced now, and we love the freedom we have to be more together as a family.
