My child is being counted absent when he was very much on at the times scheduled to do his modules. How do you expect him to do the class connects when his teacher was in the hospital with her baby for those two days? 4/20-4/21

Terrible!
They kept kicking my daughter out of class! Then when we had issues getting her computer to work, the kept sending us broken ones. Because of them she now has truancy and I have to keep missing work, costed me two jobs now! Thanks for nothing K12

I love the flexibility of doing school from anywhere and being able to run an appointment and take my child with me and not miss class. The teachers encourage the students to look at different avenues for careers and not just one path. They encouraged them to participate in class and get involved.

Making the change to KYVA has brought peace of mind for me as a parent. My child enjoys school now, she is receiving the support she needs. The teachers, principal and staff are amazing and always available. I appreciate everyone on her team. She wants to pursue a degree now, that would have not happened in her available public school setting.

Our experience with KYVA has been nothing but amazing. We started out with our son enrolling in the 3rd grade and a couple of months later our 8th grade daughter enrolling. We are at the end of our second year with KYVA and plan on continuing until they are both high school graduates. The teachers are a blessing. They care about every student and are always there for assistance. I would recommend KYVA to all of my Kentucky parent friends.

So my son attended Kentucky virtual from September 20 24 through April 2025. We ended up leaving back to our home state so they wouldn’t allow him to finish out the last five weeks of school which caused him to have no grades at all. When I started to enroll him for a K-12 of our state I told Kentucky virtual that I need something showing that my son was in fifth grade with them. I was told due to him not being able to finish out because we left back to our home state that they don’t have any grades for him that they don’t do grades by semester understandable. But you have nothing showing progress or anything. Then I received an email stating that they can provide me with the courses that my son took as proof and that they would even speak to the new K-12 school he was going to. When I tell you I had to get FERPA involved then I would receive an email from them. I screenshot the email sent proof to FERPA that they were supposed to give me something showing the courses he took. The next day after reporting the situation I get a blank piece of paper with his name, school year grade and their information on it no information on the courses he took or anything something needs to change. After my son was withdrawn from the school because they wouldn’t allow him to finish out the last five weeks. We had no access to get in to see his transcripts to see anything like I was totally kicked out of Kentucky virtual. They can’t say it’s because we didn’t return the equipment because I have proof that I returned everything they asked for. So my advice any parents who might have to move around and you find yourself in a state that you’re only gonna be in temporarily take screenshots print out anything you can showing your child to specific courses the grades your child got just in case you end up in a situation where you have to move back to your home state before they can finish out that school year. Kentucky virtual is horrible with getting back to you when you leave a message and the only way they get in contact with you when you email them is if you use legal threatening terms.

They don't accommodate any disabilities. My daughter has severe social and separation anxiety severe like we can barley get her to leave my home and they wanted her to go to the local college for a whole day by herself to test. Had notes from every doctor to excuse her I was called 20xs basically harassed to find a way to pull off getting her there. Ultimately I did not take her (no way) possible. So now they will not allow her to attend this year cause of it and I can't another free half public school for her to attend.....
