TNVA has some really great teachers and everyone is good about communicating. Still hate to have lost the recordings to count for attendance feature, it helped a lot with work meetings and doctors appointments. But overall love the school and staff. My kids feel better and more focused this way then public school.

My son is being picked on as far as attendance goes I have sent screenshots and proof everytime he misses and is still getting Trunacy letters

I absolutely love this school. I wish they would get attendance better though. I have had to argue on behalf of 2 of my kids for being put on truancy for mistakes of the teachers or IT issues. Other wise I love the school, teachers are fantastic, admins are fantastic.

The teachers are amazing, and go above and beyond. If the child don't understand, they put kids who do understand at one table, and go to a private table to further instruct those students that don't. The small groups for everyone is a huge help also.

Mrs.Bass is a wonderful teacher and very amazing with the students. Ms.Teague on the other hand, she doesn't communicate very well, we email her and she never replied back. Only emails we have received from her was at the beginning of the school year. This is my son's third year with TNVA. The platform they are using this school year to get into class and assignments isn't easy to use. Over all TNVA is a wonderful school.

Rate it at 3.5 truly... Have been here 3 school years. Mr Odgen (should be a role model for teachers) was the best and that was 3rd grade. 4th grade teachers so so. 5th grade teachers are decent, but students are not controlled much (parent or teacher), which leads to less of a lesson. Special classes are more of a joke than teaching as by the time class settles down it's about over (30 min).
K12 home screen should have a email notification like older system(on landing page) as you have to jump thru hoops to retrieve emails or notifications.
Calendar needs work still. His tutoring class disappears constantly and I am not always there to direct him for it when time.
I think the whole k12 Canvas could be better streamlined/condensed, even I get confused as where to click on things.
Over all it has been a decent experience, teachers do seem to care but I believe there should be a class monitor/TA to help with classes. Reason being there are kids who just goof off or are asleep (I know parents). I am sitting in on class or in ear shot to help. Maybe LC's should have more attention to school/kids.
Lastly K12 sends tons of materials each year and this year has not been used, which is sad, especially Science. K12 could save a bunch of money if the classes are not going to use them.
