Keen advertised the Targhee 2 as being waterproof. It never showed signs of even being water resistant. The manmade portion of the lower outer surface failed within 3 1/2 weeks. Sole shows separation... See more

Unacceptable
I'm shocked after discovering how hated they are now. I have a hard time finding tough shoes with a wide enough toe box and I'm the type of loyal customer that expects consistent quality and will pay for it. I dumped ECCO when they sent their builds to Asia. Its the same story. A story of greed. I thought it was just my ability to destroy footwear, but the last 3 pairs of Targhee's I thought I loved, I glued the delaminating treads on the oldest 2. The third pair, I took back to REI. After having them from only September-Dec, they looked like they had a hard year's use. The material is all stretched out and quite frankly, I think this is what's causing the side of my left foot to have numbness. The insoles are shredded. The treads are peeling. They developed these knots in the fabric that caused pain. They smell worse than usual. Rubbish. I use them for casual office work footwear and walking the dog. Unless they want to send me a free pair to prove they've been returned to their previous quality - I won't buy another. They are now expensive lawnmower shoes. It seems to be the expected pattern of American companies.
I have owned at least 7 pairs of Keen's from…
I have owned 7 pairs of Keen's from Kaci slip-ons to winter boots, to steel-toed work boots. They are all fantastic . . . then I bought a new pair (Kaci III) at the same price point last month. They are complete rubbish. I don't know what happened to this company, but do NOT purchase anything from them; it's all cheap crap now. They were my go-to place to find comfortable, well-made shoes with a wide toe-box. I'm so bummed.
VERY disappointed!
VERY disappointed!
Having recently purchased a pair of Targhee 111 hiking boots to wear on off-road dog walks, I was appalled to find substantial deterioration after only a few miles of light off-road usage, with the waterproof materials along the top of the sole breaking up and separating from the boot.
Sad when a formally respected brand now supplies inferior products while milking its former (but rapidly fading) reputation. £130.00 wasted!
Buyer be wear. :)
Literally, two pairs of keens fell apart in 3 weeks. My brother and I bought the same pairs at the same time in October. They didn’t last my brother 4 days. Mine lasted about two weeks. Literally the bottoms just came apart. I expected much more from a $140 boot under normal conditions (just normal wear). Sad
Quality has faded fast.
I have purchased many shoes from Keen over the years and I must say that the quality of the product has gone downhill fast. Very disappointing as they were once a dependable shoe. In the last year alone, I have had to return 2 pair of shoes due to the heel becoming separated or split. No more Keen for us.
Soles came unstuck after 2 hikes
Wore Targhee boots for two hikes and the sole came unstuck all along the sides on second hike after around a total of 190 kilometres walking. It happened at the worst time hiking back in the middle of nowhere and resulted in my toes being badly hurt because I could no longer properly tighten the boots. The same thing happened to my sons boots as well, but his fell apart after only around 140 kimometres of wear. The sides of the boot just unstick from the sole both sides. Terrible.
The MOST Comfortable and Well Made shoes!
I had a huge lower lumbar fusion with cages. Trust me when I say I have tried multiple companies in hopes to find shoes that are comfortable. Well, I stopped looking after buying my keens 2 years ago for hiking. Absolutely off the charts comfortable! Keen shoes provide such excellent support, my back, hips and knees NEVER hurt after enjoying active life in my pair! I just ordered my newest pair, UNEEK. They are just as comfortable as my hikers. Light. Excellent inside support. Light weight. Beautiful style.
You have a solid, lifetime fan and now loyal customer.
I so recommend your shoes to friends and family.
No soul
No soul
If I could post a pic I would.
Keen 1012213 shoe keen dry
I like the shoe But the soul starts falling apart way before the shoe
wears out. The glue is not a good glue. This is the second pair that has done this. To bad you can't make the soul stay on the shoe till they're wore out!
Bought Keen shoes at the Annapolis boat…
Bought Keen shoes at the Annapolis boat show so you would think they would be excellent with water. The soles fell off the shoe after 20-30 times wearing the shoes. They were not even broke in yet. What junk for a very expensive product. Never again. All the other boater I have seen with them are having the same experience. We have to glue the soles on since Keen apparently cannot figure out how to glue them on. Maybe hire an engineer and a chemist.

Tried for an hour to buy a pair of boots from Keen but they wouldn't let me go to checkout.
Bought hiking boots from Keene
Bought hiking boots from Keene. Only wear them on special occasions. The sole is coming apart. Spoke to a friend that had the same problem with 2 pairs that he bought. Must be made in China.
Never Again
Recently bought two pairs of shoes. I filled out a form to return the shoes, thinking they would send me pre-paid shipping forms to send them back. When nothing arrived, I phoned, and they said return shipment was my cost! So, yep, just paid money to try on ill-fitting shoes. Never again.
I have been wearing running shoes trail…
I have been wearing running shoes trail shoes and hiking boots from various manufacturers. My first pair of Keen and my last. Rigidity of shoe and poor stitching of upper to sole just adds to the woes. Back to Salomon and Asics
I ordered sandals from there factory…
I ordered sandals from there factory outlet site on 08/17/22. I never received them. When I contacted them they gave me a runaround, told me that it wasn't thier site and to bad for me. I have worn Keen shoes and sandals for years, but will never buy another pair. Thank You! Floyd
Their quality has completely went away…
Their quality has completely went away I had a pair of keens work shoes before that were pretty durable but I bought the new pair that are almost $200 new Within two and a half months the soul was already falling off the shoe
Junk shoes and junk customer service
Keen makes junk shoes that fall apart after a few months of use and the company is run similarly poorly to the shoe construction. Good luck trying to get your warranty honored.
First Time keen customer and last time
First Time keen customer and last time. I placed an order for a pair of work boots during their labor day sale on a tuesday. Their website said if I paid for rush shipping 35 dollars more I can have my boots by wednesday or thursday. Come Thursday, nothing has moved or shipped on their status. I tried calling them 10 am in the morning, however There customer service is closed? I then writed messing them through chat, no response. I called back and was put on hold for 24 minutes before they disconnect me. I write an email to their sales dept and no response either. Come friday, nothing has shipped but they taken my money from my account. I never experience such bad customer on this level before. Just avoid this company, terrible service and no way to get ahold of anyone.
I bought a new pair of work boots 3…
I bought a new pair of work boots 3 months ago and just couldn't stand to wear them anymore. I work construction and run equipment and am on my feet 8 or more hours a day. I paid over $200 for my new Keen boots only to find the following problems: the boots are very heavy, twice as heavy as my previous pair and my current pair; the soles of the Keen boots protrude outside the body of the boot. I found myself actually stepping on the sole of one boot with the other boot; I frequently get the boots tangled up in the peddles of equipment like loaders and excavators causing panic stops to reset my feet to avoid an accident - the boots interfere with my ability to perform work tasks.
I've replaced the awkward and very heavy boots with a boot that cost less than $100 and weighs about a 3rd as much as the Keen boot.
I'll donate the Keen boots to Goodwill and never buy a Keen product again.
Service is the WORST
I purchased a pair and realized minutes after that I bought the wrong pair, based on the sole tread. I tried to cancel and they would not allow it, they said it "dropped". I reiterated that it was literally minutes ago, they said ...."it dropped" So I assumed that was to get them out the door asap. Wrong! It will ship in 3 to 5 business days, and yet I cannot cancel it because it dropped. They said when USPS delivers it in about two weeks I can request a return label, which they will offset my refund.
I ordered on Wednesday, cannot cancel it as I bought the wrong pair, it will ship the following week, by USPS no less and will cost me to return the incorrect order that I could not cancel.
Stay away from Keen, they steal from your wallet!!
Poor quality.
Wonderfully comfortable, wide boots. Sadly the stitching on one upper has deteriorated so the boot leaks. Not worn very much because of covid limitations but out of guarantee period.
Disappointing.
