Khan Academy You Are The Best
I'm in the process of studying for my GED. Oh my God, I didn't realize how much material there is in math, social studies, science, and reading that I don't remember from grade school, middle school, or even high school. I was searching online trying to find somewhere that I could study all of these subjects, and I came across Khan Academy, and it's free.
Let me tell you right now, that is the best academy I have ever run across. They will take you all the way back to kindergarten if you need to go back that far to study all of the subjects to get you back up to where you are now. I log in every day, several times each day, to my Khan Academy account. I study hard. I even took myself all the way back to kindergarten. I took the course test to see if I needed to study any of those from kindergarten. It turns out I'm good on that. I've been taking the course tests for each grade to see if I need to study in those grades, and I tell you what, there's stuff from first-grade math I don't remember learning in grade school. My brain is overwhelmed with things that I don't remember studying for in grade school, and the only thing I can think of is when I was in grade school, I was in special ed, so I didn't get the same study courses as the regular kids who weren't in special ed.
I would recommend Khan Academy to any and everyone if you are trying to study for your GED or if you just want to brush up on any of those subjects. I would recommend Khan Academy; you would be a fool if you don't start with them for your courses before you take your GED test. That way, you can learn everything you need to know and then study the courses that the GED wants you to study before you take the test. I went to study for my GED, and I looked like an idiot because I didn't recognize anything. So I Googled and I found Khan Academy, and oh my God, I am finding all kinds of new math, reading, social studies, and science that I don't remember learning in school. The only thing I can think of is because I was in special ed, I didn't get the same study plan as the regular kids did. So, yes.
And I don't give a f*** if you laugh at me or what. At least I am trying to better myself. Even if I have to take myself back through all of those courses, at least I'm trying. Khan Academy, thank you, thank you.

I don't know why everyone is hating on it so much. It's free for God's sake. They provide free education for people who struggle to grasp hard concepts, mostly in the STEM field.
My only advice on using it is DO NOT CARE about its grading system. What is important is that you learn.
Also if you have anger issues, I advise you to just take a breather.
Thank you so much for providing a free, not-for-profit education website! As a high school student, I can't emphasise enough how much easier Khan has made my studies.
I couldn't praise Khan Academy enough. As a high school student living in Australia, I've been using it for years, and I love how accessible and digestible each lesson is. Khan explains in a way that is so easy to grasp, as he always emphasises the 'why' behind each concept rather than merely giving formulas. I also love the friendly, conversational style of each lesson --- in a way, the minimal editing of each video makes it seem more genuine and warm. As an auditory and visual learner, I couldn't ask for more from the videos. The supplementary questions after each explanation are wonderfully designed and the perfect amount. I actually like the high standards to achieve 'mastery' on this website, even though it seems that some people here complain about the 'one-question wrong ruins everything.' Personally, I like that the website's design pushes you to truly take the time to master each concept and acknowledge each small mistake you may make. It is so gratifying to look at the dashboard and view the palpable progress you've made. This is my first time leaving a Trust-pilot review, but I really wanted to because Khan is honestly one of the people I look up to the most. In today's world, there aren't that many 'truly' not-for-profit organisations that are devoted to making other people's lives better. I think I speak for thousands, and even millions of students, educators... who have gained a little, or a lot, from Khan and his team's devotion. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. When I grow up and make money of my own, I hope to donate to Khan Academy's beautiful efforts.
Worst math website ever, only upside is that it's free.
If I fail a singular question, they make it impossible to get a complete mastery on the course. On the Course Challenge, a test with 30 questions, if you get a single answer wrong, everything is useless and you have to do it all over again, and there isn't even a feature that allows you to restart it. You have to manually go through every other question, which will give you a horrible record on the Course, only to restart it for another shot at acing the test, and if you still get one question wrong, you have to do it again.
its glitchy
every time a use it, it gives me dumb answers like "A square is a rectangle never use this site
Very hard to use
Ok, I guess, but super long-winded explanations that are hard to understand. I do badly at this math, but my Saxon Algebra books are actually MUCH easier! At this website, they provide no easy explanation for formulas or ANYTHING, really. Totally get the 3.6 star average. If you are only able to afford this, it is helpful. Otherwise, extremely badly organized and not as good as any textbook I have EVER seen! Do not recommend, if you can afford anything else.
EDIT: Now on top of everything else they are having crappy technical issues which include just reloading my quiz so I can't finish it. Never use this site - it is trash.
