I got kidstart when I had my daughter in 2013. I can understand why people go towards topcashback and quidco or some other sites. They usually have a higher rate. Put simply a higher rate means... See more

I have been using KidStart for few years, and have recently made two purchases through them and I didn’t get the notifications emails from them about the saving, so I reported to them, 1. I get an notifications email saying someone will get back to me by Friday, and no I didn’t get any response few weeks later, so I chased them again and I got the same notifications email saying someone will get back to me by the following Friday. So I chased again somehow they have responded after few weeks delayed and confirmed that one it got missed on their system with small amount saving so they are will to pay me back, but the second one they responded: As part of this review we have been informed by the retailer that this purchase does not qualify for KidStart Savings. They have told us that this is because the transaction has been related to an alternative channel. This is likely to be due to one of the following reasons:
“
KidStart was not the last website to be clicked through before the purchase was made,
OR In some cases other online promotional channels can make your KidStart Savings invalid such as voucher codes, emails and banners.
We therefore advise that you only use promotional material that is provided by KidStart to ensure that you will receive your KidStart Savings for your children.
I’m afraid that as a result of their decision we will not be able to progress with this missing transaction any further.”
I know, it for sure I did clicked on the link from their website but because it is bigger amount it feel like they don’t want to pay the cash back on the saving which is very misleading and unacceptable. I understand if it just happened one off, but twice in a row surely there is an issue with their system but they blamed me for not clicking on their link or using promotional channel which i find it hard to accept.
Don’t think they are as soon as before and their customer service in delayed of getting back to you which it isn’t great either. Very disappointed with them and I will leave them once I cleared the saving funds back to my kids accounts.
27.6.19 - they have came back to say they have already been in contacted but still no news. They have replied to shown that they have responded but really they haven't done anything about it, they are just terrible. Definitely not recommended to use them.

I Have been with Kidstart since 2009 and wouldn't hesitate in recommending them. By clicking through to retailers we have received about £824 of free money in my Child's account. There is even a button that you can install to remind you click!

I first open up this account when i had my son, and so link the cash back to his bank, and i after 9 years i am still saving with them.... every time i shop on line or pay some bills i will always check if i can do it though kidstart and most of the time i can...
I would highly recommend this to anyone, more so those that have kids, because every little helps. To be honest i don't even know how much to date i have saved over the 9 plus years that i have had the account, even though i can see i never check because well is that straight forward it doe snot require you do do anything but remember to click on the site and then shop though it, done.
At present i do have over £34 pending, and that monies that needs to come from various retailers, and at times this can take a little while, but i don't really notice because kidstart automatically transfer the monies out into whatever account you have selected.
I, i mean my son will continue to save with Kidstart.....

Been using Kidstart for a while and I assumed if you have an account you'd be getting the rewards.
Wrong!
It is not linked to you but to individual cards. Went through them and purchased flights worth £4000 and wondered why I wasn't getting my cashback.
I found out this is because only my debit card was registered with them and I used a different card, even though it was through my account.
Very disappointing, but in about 15 year's I'm sure if I keep using it I'll get what I missed out on back.

Kidstart has saved me a lot of money ..it maybe £1.59 or £17.00 I have saved each time I use kidstart. I am a grandmother & have used this money I save to take my little grandsons out for the day. Everyone should join this. You may wait a few months for the retailer to clear the money owing but they always do. Go for it.

I’ve been using KidStart for years now and everytime I shop online I check to see if the site is affiliated with KidStart. It’s so easy to use and I like knowing that a little of what I spend comes back to me as savings for my children.

Can't think of any reason not to use the app... When u buy online companies have your details anyway so may as well use the app and let it save up... have already had £20 back after less than a year!

Kidstart is great. As long as I remember to click through from the kidstart site before using amazon, ebay, John Lewis, just eat etc then I get money back for my children.

A great way of saving a few extra pennies for children. It does take some time for the money to clear but understandable that they need to make sure the purchase was final

I signed up with KidStart when my daughter was born 5 years ago. My family and I have been using it without any problems since then and my daughter gets a regular transfer into her bank account. I think it’s a brilliant idea and would highly recommend KidStart
