Fabulous way to save for your children. Hugely helpful if you have a query - always get back to you. Highly recommend.

My niece asked me to sign up for this scheme, which earns a little extra money for her children when I go via a click on the KidStart website to do my normal Internet shopping. Amounts and T&Cs vary between retailers but the scheme includes such big names as Amazon, Boots, and Wilko as well as supermarkets Sainsbury, Tesco & Waitrose. I found the system a bit confusing at first: the amounts of cashback didn’t seem to match the transactions; my niece didn’t get the referral bonus; and the money I’d ‘banked’ was not appearing in her accounts. But there’s a really friendly and efficient support system that responds very quickly to queries, helping me to understand how it works, correcting the mistakes I’d made when I registered, and kindly allowing us to benefit from the referral bonus despite my errors. What’s not to like!

Do not use. Been purchasing products with kidstart for over a year. It says I have nearly 50 pound in my kiddybank. Never seen a penny!

I've been using KidStart for a couple of years and have had no problems with any transactions, until one item just before Christmas.
The amount I was waiting for never appeared in my pending list, so I assumed that being a holiday period, there may be delays, so I waited.
But January the transaction still hadn't appeared so I queried it.
I received a number of emails asking me about when, what and how I made the purchase, plus a request for screenshots of the transaction, which I duly replied to.
During this time I received a number of emails telling me this was being investigated, and emails giving useful tips on how to go about future transactions.
Eventually about a week ago I received another nice email saying that they were going to credit the account with the missing amount.
Although annoying at the time, but considering the amount of transactions they generate, I found the process simple and conducted well by KidStart.
Many thanks to everyone involved for your help with my query.

I have been using Kidstart for a year and referred it to two more people, as it seems a very easy way to save money for your children with very little effort. I use it mainly for Amazon and although there have been a number of transactions that have not tracked, the support team (and Karen in particular) have been very helpful and have added the missing credit as an adjustment. There are a few tweaks to keep in mind (e.g. you cannot have saved items in your basket or it will not track them) but overall it is easy enough to use and certainly worth a few extra clicks if you are going to buy the items anyway and it adds some cash to your child's account as a result.

I have been using Kidstart for many years now. I started after my children were born. Kidstart offers cash back from a wide range of online providers and unlike other cashback sites doesn’t require a registration fee. Since using Kidstart I have earned a fair amount for my children and their school, you can choose the ratio of how you want your cashback savings to be split between your children and their school if you wish to save for the school.
Another plus is you can invite friends and family members to earn cash back savings for your children as well.
The customers service team is very helpful in the odd instance when a transaction hasn’t tracked and as far as I can tell this seems to be more of a problem when I use the app on my phone, I have not experienced problems when using their website on my laptop.

Overall, I love KidStart, have saved a fair amount, and will continue to use them. If an item I want it widely available, I will deliberately choose one of the retailers available on KidStart. They also have several shops and -luckily -most of the ones I like.
The only real downside is that not all the purchases do track effectively. I find that once clicking through, the connection can get lost, so I make sure the KidStart link is still at the top when I get to the confirmation stage of a purchase. I also keep a note on my phone of all my transactions and dates so I can check they are going through! Every now and then they don’t seem to work however, to their credit, the admin team are always good at tracking items and have credited me with the missing amount several times. I have had to do this quite a lot, although I still think the site is worth doing and I am making money for nothing, buying what I wanted anyway.

Great way of saving money for your children, grandchildren, god children with minimal effort. Each time I want to buy something online I look to see if I can find the retailer on Kidstart. If it's not there I'll find one that will sell me what I'm looking for so I get my savings! On the couple of occasions I have contacted Kidstart, the response has been swift and professional. Brilliant!-

Great site. Really good cashback rates especially for retailers like Amazon. A fantastic way to save for my kids without it costing me anything. I recently had a problem with retailers not tracking and Karen was able to help me very quickly, going beyond the call of duty to recompensate me. I'd definitely recommend.

I have used KidStart since our children were born. They are now 10 and we have just crossed the £1k of KidStart savings. We only use Kidstart retailers where they offer the cheapest price including the KidStart savings so this has genuinely been “free” money for our kids. It is so easy to use and if you have any problems the KidStart team are really helpful and a delight to deal with. A shout out to Karen on that point who has recently helped me track down a missing transaction. Thank you! If you get grandparents, aunts and uncles and god parents using it as well you will start to rack up some savings for your kids pretty quickly. Install the KidStart app and as you browse it will advise you which are Kidstart affiliates so no reason to miss out on savings. I can’t think if a reason not to use it unless you don’t care about saving for your kids!

I have used Kidstart for years and years now. I started shortly after my children were born. It offers cash back from a wide range of online providers but also high street shops. Unlike other cash back sites Kidstart doesn’t require a subscription or registration fee and I have earned a substantial amount for my children/ their school. You can invite family members as well to earn cash back. The customers service team is responsive and in the odd instance a cash back goes missing they will look into it and try to solve,

Really impressed with the whole set up 😃
I’m raising money for my granddaughter by buying online - exactly as I was before, apart from doing it through the KidStart app.
And there’s a wonderful and efficient support team running behind the scenes if you have a query.
Fabulous!

Like JS90's post I have also been using KidStart faithfully for a long time (about 10 years) As a whole they are worth looking into but please do read all of the reviews on them. Yes, KidStart does have a good cash back % for existing customers compared to other sites, but their downfall is not allocating money from the larger retailers (especially significant purchases via Amazon) Their excuse is "they cannot track all payments" or "It take retailers a while to notify them" but in my personal opinion, this is complete tosh! I spend a small fortune every year at Amazon and each time I religiously link through Kidstart to get the extra pennies. The small purchases seem to go through MOST of the time, however, when it comes to purchases of about £50 and over they ALWAYS go missing and I mean always. I have been monitoring the purchases for the last 6/7 years now and there is a definite pattern...Kidstarts answer is alway the same "fill out the missing transaction form" It is extremely frustrating having to constantly fill out these forms just so I can receive the payments. As I said earlier, this happens on a regular basis, which has been ongoing for some years. Coincidence? Unfortunately, I think not. I feel that Kidstart just hopes that customers will tire of the form filling and give up in the end. *Kidstart - you really need to sort this issue out. It's not fair to your customers at all.
To reiterate what JS90 says "the sheer number of purchases that are simply NOT tracked; despite logging in, or using their pop up toolbar when buying, the purchases simply don't appear on your statement.
Annoyed at how much I've missed out on by sticking with Kid Start instead of using other cash back sites.
It seems to be out of their control when this happens, a fault with the retailers perhaps, but yeah, they don't do much to sort anything out or explain why this keeps happening. Usually they shut the matter down without further investigation (i.e. tough luck, we won't look into this any further). Disappointing"

I started using Kidstart about 9 months ago when my sister-in-law recommended it to me. A few problems at first with tracking but that was due to my phone settings. The team were really helpful getting that sorted out for me. Since then it has been smooth sailing and I've earned a decent amount for my child's savings. Just wish I'd have know about it earlier!

I've been using KidStart pretty faithfully for a few years now. KidStart has an impressive number of retailers, and has a good cash back % for existing customers compared to other sites. And although it takes an age to " transfer" (get cashback money paid into your account), when it works, it's pretty decent.
The most annoying thing however, is the sheer number of purchases that are simply NOT tracked; despite logging in, or using their pop up toolbar when buying, the purchases simply don't appear on your statement.
This seems to happen mainly with high traffic retailers such as Amazon, Asda, Marks & Spencer, Argos. Annoyed at how much I've missed out on by sticking with Kid Start instead of using other cash back sites.

Typical that the site was down for ages when Amazon Prime Day was on so I couldn't get the cashback. I've not had this issue before.
