It was started with just the seeds of an idea. 2003 - in the humble surroundings of London's East End.
‘Streetwear’ as we know it, didn’t exist. Owning and starting a brand was reserved for corporations and the privileged few. Our aim – to change that. To create a British streetwear brand that set the standard and upheld the culture.
We had zero fashion knowledge and even less money. Our education came from underground UK music, design and skateboarding. The sacrifices were real, but the vision was always clear.
No days off; learning from scratch; hustling the sales; putting everything back into the brand; keeping things moving to pay the rent.
June 2003 – KING launched its first collection.
Our immersion in the culture led to collabs with emerging music artists of the time, including Plan B and Wretch32 as well as pioneering partnerships New Era and Starter, developing a global reputation as a leader in streetwear culture.
Since day one the brand has remained independently owned with the HQ still located in the manor, Stratford E15. From packing boxes in bedrooms, KING is now sold and distributed globally on five continents and online at king-apparel.com

Good quality products
This is the second time I have purchased from this company. I ordered cammo tracksuit bottoms and a blue cammo top for my son. Both products appear to be very well made and the material appears to be of a much higher quality than items you'll find on the High Street.
My only negative is that the company do not pay for free returns. I appreciate it is a small company but it would help if they gave free returns, especially if you're just exchanging because the size is wrong and you buy a new product in a different size.
Don't get me wrong though, the products are very high quality and the company are very good at getting back to you to answer any queries, so will definitely look to buy from them in the future.

Thanks for the review Muninder. Appreciate the feedback on the returns policy. You're right that this is down to the size of the business and the fact that the goods we make are very limited in quantity and do not get repeated once sold out. We would prefer to keep the prices within reason despite this exclusivity, but that also means that we have to make concessions elsewhere e.g. returns.
It's worth mentioning that if there is ever a manufacturing fault which is very rare then we do offer to cover returns and/or exchanges at our cost.

Great kit, fair cost. Delivery seemed to be taking longer than the advised turnaround time on the confirmation email, so I emailed them. I received a quick response and update on my items. The items arrived shortly after and in perfect condition.
