Had a great experience getting my suit made with Cat at King and Allen. She was professional, helpful and very competent! Lots of really useful advice and insights into tailoring. I love the suit and will get back to Cat for my next one.

Just incredible! My husband and I had visions of a black tie wedding and were originally going to just get a designer but off the shelf dinner jacket. However, one of my regular runs takes me past King & Allen in Surbiton. I thought it would be worth checking out and was immediately struck by their LGBTQIA+ friendly approach. Cut to our consultation and Cat Rowe could not have been nicer, supportive, and knowledgeable. We had great fun picking our designs and adding our own flare, and the dinner jackets Cat and the team produced were simply perfect. We had so many compliments on our big day, the care and attention put into crafting there outfits was clear. Cat and team thank you so much for making our special day!

Almost don't know where to begin in describing how wonderful my experience was at King & Allen in Knutsford!
I am a woman and I wanted a 'masculine' cut suit for my upcoming wedding, and a K&A suit was always the dream. From booking the initial consultation/measuring communication was excellent and really friendly. I had to move a couple of my appointments and this was no bother at all, and really accommodating.
At the actual appointments I was measured up and looked after by Lauryn, and she was amazing, talking me through the process, and really listening to what I wanted. In some aspects I knew what I wanted but don't think I was able to communicate it very well but she knew exactly what I was trying to say and expertly helped me arrive at my dream suit. And let me say, it really is an absolute dream.
The suit itself is incredible. The first time I tried it on, I felt amazing and it was beyond my already high expectations! The range of fabrics to choose from was huge and I can't imagine there are any tastes/visions which can't be catered for!
I had an exceptional experience at King & Allen Knutsford, and cannot recommend them highly enough.

Amazing company. As a wedding photographer, I get to see plenty of suits at weddings. What King & Allen produced for one couple of mine was a level up. The vegan movement was particularly important to this couple, and they went with a vegan suit from K&E and it looked so sharp they were so chuffed. Excellent customer service plus they were very complementary to me for the photos.

I saw David at King & Allen Liverpool Street who helped me to create a beautiful bespoke suit. The process was easy, fun and enjoyable from the first appointment to collection of the suit. David went above and beyond to ensure I had the suit for a wedding (my own fault for not allowing sufficient time). I am very happy to recommend.

I ended up with King & Allen by chance as my partner was getting a suit with them and I tagged along. I am so glad I did though!

We went to the Liverpool Street office in London and from start to finish our atelier tailor, David was an absolute delight. He was courteous, kind and easy to talk to and helped explain the benefits (or not) of the different styles and cuts available. He was the consummate professional when taking measurements for the baste pattern, ensuring that I was comfortable throughout the process and double or triple checking every measurement to ensure a completely accurate dataset.

Selecting my fabrics was such fun and I am not exaggerating when I say that I probably touched and investigated every bit of fabric in the place to find the right lining for my jacket and waistcoat.

David was so helpful when I couldn't decide between a couple of options, showing me a comparison and also talking through how each would work with my partner's suit (we intentionally did not match in the slightest). The final fabric decisions were wonderful and it means a lot to see your tailor excited about the mix too. It really made my day.

Our baste fitting was a great experience, again David was wonderfully courteous and supportive, making sure I felt at ease. He took me through the next stage of the cut, going through the lines and pins to make the perfect fit. It was amazing what a cm here or there can do with the overall shape.

As a not very hourglass person (more bowling ball), I was nervous that I would end up looking like I was wearing a sack or having the cut very tight to force lines, but it was the complete opposite. David's measurements were spot on and worked with my figure to build a silhouette that I am comfortable in and is still feminine.

The second, final fit was the 'finished' suit in my chosen fabric and immediately on walking in David was very excited to show me it. It was infectious and I couldn't help getting excited myself. I went for a bamboo fabric and can categorically say that it is AMAZING. The colour, the feel, the way it drapes and doesn't swamp me, the fit and the way it is cool but not cold. It is truly something else. They even managed to make a matching bow tie in the suit fabric!

I can't fault King & Allen, they are professional, courteous and deliver on their promises. I can't wait to get another suit made with them (once I save up again!).

Cat made the whole process easy going, which is exactly what you need when you’re feeling out of your comfort zone.
Helped me with the concerns I had about my eczema getting aggravated in a suit. Last thing I wanted was a flare up on the day. Going with bamboo was the right decision, it really breathes, it’s soft and such a beautiful material.

Seeing the final piece, the finished suit, I was blown away. You have an idea of what it will look like during the fittings but nothing prepares you for the finished look. I can’t begin to thank her enough for the wonderful suit she made, I can’t wait to wear it on my wedding day next month.

Thankyou for your reply Jake, I feel I should reply to you. I refer to the fact that lies were indeed told as assurances that the suit would be ready the Tuesday before the wedding and that the cancellation of the previous ‘last fitting’ were nothing to worry about, we’re in fact untruths! The suit had already been cut wrong previously we were informed so why was the colour not checked even then? This also gave us less time to get the suit but were assured again not to worry. The fitter at the last disaster when the suit was supposed to be collected did give the impression of unconcern and stated that there is nothing they can do was unbelievable. I also ask why we were informed that the wrong suit had arrived half an hour before we were supposed to collect that this had not been discovered earlier? Upon attending your shop the wrong suit wasn’t even there, another untruth. The shirt we had made was obviously not the one ordered as it is enormous, to which your fitter stated I always leave a little room, I think enough for another person who is also taller is more than a little room. The stress this disaster caused is unforgivable, we had 24hours to find a suit to fit, so ended up with the only off the peg suit we could find, this totally ruined the aesthetic of the wedding as father and son were supposed to match this obviously didn’t happen, thus getting my son’s suit was completely pointless. Your company has ruined our experience of our daughters wedding day, something we will never experience again and you took that away. I’m also saddened that you have not made any further attempt to contact us bar your reply on here and the email to my husband, offering a donation to charity. This albeit a nice gesture doesn’t help us in any way for the stress and tears you have caused, you have our contact details and could have made the effort, considering the enormity of the situation. I feel it’s my duty to warn others of the disgraceful service we received from Knutsford branch as this experience was devastating, I would hate for someone else to experience this.

I had a fully bespoke suit made at the Liverpool Street London branch and tailors David and Joe were excellent throughout. I felt extremely at ease and could be myself, wearing a binder to each fitting and chatting about our wedding plans. I have no idea about anything to do with cuts or buttons or suits really, but the whole process was seamless (ha!) and the suit looked incredible at the finish. Amazing quality. Even my dad was impressed. I would highly recommend King and Allen for anyone looking for a bespoke suit for a special occasion.

A big stressful part of planning our wedding has been deciding what I wanted to wear. I’ve never worn a suit before and wasn’t really sure what I wanted but I’m so glad we found King & Allen. David is so helpful and enthusiastic, and helped me to bring my vague ideas of what I wanted into a suit that is perfect for me. I couldn’t be happier with the service received and the finished product. I am beyond excited to get married in my suit in April!

I personally can’t recommend King and Allen if you’re looking for a reliable service that goes above and beyond for customer satisfaction. Additionally, if you’re looking for a suit built to a high, durable standard, you may want to reconsider. Below is my most recent experience with the Birmingham branch.

1) Firstly, the wrong suit trousers were made from the incorrect pattern requested. The store clerk admitted the mistake being made, but this needed to be re-made which took several months longer to receive.
2) Next, after alleged completion, the majority of my order went missing at the store, and had to be remade again, which set the order back even longer.
3) In total, the order took atleast 5 months to be ready for collection. Their website quotes between 8-12 weeks.
4) An ordered shirt was presented to me as it was ready to be collected, however it had visible pen marks over it.
5) Finally, a pair of trousers which had only been worn twice, tore at the seam which led to embarrassment in a professional setting.

The manager was contacted after the trousers had ripped, highlighting the issues with the service received from start to finish. They offered for the trousers to be fixed, which I accepted, however, when it came to arranging this, I received no response from for over a month until I messaged them asking for a refund instead due to a lack of response on their side. However, since requesting this, I have not had a reply, which speaks for itself.

I have received much better customer service from the likes of online retailers, budget brands and chain stores than I have with King and Allen, who claim to be a premium brand, yet every time something went wrong, gave a half-hearted verbal apology, and failed each time to make amends for the genuine frustrations, disappointment and delays accrued by them.

I previously used King and Allen a few years ago (their Knutsford branch) and had a truly brilliant experience, which I can’t fault. However, my most recent experience with the Birmingham branch has been stressful, exasperating, and truly a massive headache, and I can’t recommend.

I was so happy with my custom suit from King and Allan! They were great from start to finish, helping me choose the perfect fabric, colors, and details. The cut of the suit was perfect, and they were willing to have me come in as many times as needed to make sure everything was just right. I would highly recommend King and Allan to anyone who is looking for a high-quality custom suit. I will definitely be back for more in the future!

I had a bespoke wedding suit made for my wedding and from my first appointment with Harmony, I knew I was in great hands! She patiently and methodically took me through every bit of the process. I showed her a picture of my inspiration, the colours I wanted etc, and she literally helped me and my best friend design the outfit. From the fabric, colours and shape of the suit, waste coat, etc. She even recommended a gorgeous colour for my tie and pocket square, and beautifully shaped buttons along with other smaller details and personalised elements for my suit. Then Harmony left, and Joe Goad took over, I was apprehensive at first as Harmony was so good, but Joe was just as excellent, making me feel totally at ease and going above and beyond! The suit was stunning, everything I could have wished for and more! I would 100 per cent recommend these guys and will come back in a heartbeat when I need a suit for a special occasion. (I will be asking for Joe) It was great value for money, exceptional service and a quality product. Thank you so much, Harmony and Joe! Joe should get a bonus!

I always knew I wanted to get married in a King and Allen Suit from when I first discovered them. I traveled down from Scotland to their Knutsford Branch where I had the full bespoke experience and my god it was out of this world! The level of detail that goes into a bespoke suit is mind blowing! The team at Knutsford were amazing and walked me through every aspect of the experience every time I went! It was definitely worth the trips down and the final product was gorgeous! I would definitely recommend King and Allen to anyone looking for a bespoke suit especially in LGBTQ+ community! They truly are the best at what they do! Now hurry up and get a store in Scotland!

The gentleman who had took my measurements and had my suit made was jiten whadia, he was very well spoken, very well dressed and was profesional in every other regard you can think of, i will definately be visiting again.

I visited the Knutsford branch in March to purchase my first ever suit for my wedding in July. From the moment of arriving Karl made us feel welcome and comfortable. The detail that goes into a suit I never imagined but Karl talked me through everything making me feel at ease. I was very nervous about wearing a suit as I’ve never worn one but it’s safe to say after seeing my finished suit I look forward to wearing it on my wedding day and I will treasure it forever!
