Unbelievably great device. I got the white model, and couldn't have been happier with my decision. The screen is a little grainier than the black and white option, and a little darker, but I've found that I actually prefer this. When I send Substack articles to my Clara Colour via the integrated Instapaper support, it's nice to see images in full color. I can't recommend this device highly enough.

My screen did come with one dead pixel, which I hear getting a few dead pixels is the standard for e-readers these days. I know in some cases you can reach out to support and return your defective kobo for a new one (that I think ships to you free of charge but don’t quote me on that). I chose not to return it because after a few hours of reading, I noticed it didn’t bother me, besides I have heard horror stories where it takes people six or more attempts to get a kobo without dead pixels, and I didn’t want to go through that. Other than that, everything is fantastic and I’m really enjoying the device and how portable it is! I haven’t charged the battery since getting it, and it’s on 80% still, so very good battery life!

I have loved the black one, but I've sold it because I am not into black devices. When they released a white one, I couldn't pass it up! It's the best device for me! Small and light enough to carry around everywhere. It fits in all of my purses. It is waterproof and that's a must for me. The colors look so pretty. Overall, a really great device! If they would release a white one for the black & white version, I would definitely buy it!

I’m so happy (and feel so much better) after making the switch from a kindle to the kobo clara colour. The app work smoothly, and synching to the kobo is a breeze. Loving the color highlight feature and still exploring more.

This Kobo Clara Colour reader is a big step forward for me. I wasn’t convinced about the need for colour, but now I have it I really like it. The covers come alive. I haven’t explored all the things the reader can do, being most interested in reading, but I will. The thing that has impressed me most so far is the soft light for nighttime reading. It has made a difference to my eyes. I find I can read for longer. The new reader is more tactile and easier to hold. I am very pleased with it.

Kobo Clara Colour Review: A Perfect Return to E-Reading As someone who previously owned the Kobo Arc, the Kobo Clara Colour was my long-awaited return to the world of dedicated e-readers, and it was the perfect birthday gift. After a few weeks of using it, I can confidently say this device is a huge leap forward and has completely revitalized my reading habits. Why I Chose It: Colour and Comfort My main motivation for choosing the Clara Colour was, unsurprisingly, the new Colour E Ink screen. While I enjoy graphic novels and comics, my primary desire was the option to customize the screen's tone for a more comfortable reading experience throughout the day—a feature that has delivered beautifully. The ability to shift the screen tone is a game-changer for reducing eye strain. Unmatched Reading Experience The experience of reading on the Clara Colour is superb. I’ve been tearing through my current selection of horror, crime, and mystery novels—like the One of Us is Lying trilogy and the upcoming Salem’s Lot and Thursday Murder Club. The clarity is fantastic on the eyes, and I've noticed I'm reading faster because I can fully customize the font style and size to my exact preference. A major highlight is the device's feather-light design. Reading in bed is incredibly comfortable as the Kobo is virtually weightless, and the E Ink screen technology truly works wonders; I’ve experienced no eye strain whatsoever. Battery Life and Accessories The battery life is nothing short of impressive. I haven't had to charge it since receiving it a few weeks ago, and that's after finishing two books and updating my entire digital library! I also love the accessories my mum purchased with the device. The Smart Sleep Cover is excellent—especially its origami-inspired folding stand, which is perfect for hands-free reading. The storage is also more than enough for my needs; with 36 books currently loaded, I've barely made a dent in the 16GB of space. Final Verdict: Highly Recommended I honestly haven't found a single disappointment with the Kobo Clara Colour. It perfectly meets all my criteria: simplicity, comfort, and the optional splash of colour. For anyone who wants an e-reader that is easy on the eyes, has an incredible battery life, and provides a simple, highly customizable, and comfortable reading experience, the Kobo Clara Colour is a must-have. It’s the perfect blend of modern E Ink technology and pure reading pleasure.

I nice replacement for my old KOBO, the screen is slightly smaller, but that is my own fault for not measuring my old screen.

The Clara colour is perfect sized for someone on the go! The UI is similar and easy to follow for people coming from different systems. The color is great, easy to hold, easy to use and makes me more excited to read (even though i LOVE reading anyways)

The screen resolution is better than the previous model I have (7 years old model). The paging flipping is slower. The customization is great and I can see it will probably get more improvements in the future. The battery is great and definitely a bigger upgrade than my old model. It’s also nice to be able to see images in color, specially covers and illustrations.
