I've recently purchased two cultures, and made two batches tea ! They turned out excellent! I was very happy with his product!

I first learned to make Kombucha from a family member, the old fashioned way, and quite frankly, probably still the way that the majority of people do...with messy SCOBYS to deal with and worry about growing mold, storing afterwards, more scobies being formed every batch, scobies, scobies,scobies! I dreamed I was being chased by a giant scoby, I woke up in a sweat, and my wife thought I was fermenting!
I never dreamed though, that making kombucha could be so pain free!
Scott of Kombucha America is a consummate professional. He's perfected the quick brew method that to me, is ingenious
and flawless in every aspect. I am able to brew several gallons at a time, as many as I want, which is usually a lot and I have a continuous supply of my beloved kombucha. On equal par with his quick brew method is Scott's dedication to his customers. Since doing business with Kombucha America, I have had several questions, at random times, sometimes many, sometimes just one. No matter what, Scott has always replied to my E-mail with lightning quickness, and if he can't, he'll let you know that he'll get back to you as soon as possible. E-mail is just my preferred choice of communication, so I have all my answers in written form instead of in my empty head! Alternately, Scott also provides his phone contact and answers personally. I've not seen better customer care and service anywhere, anytime! Scott's professionalism and personal concern are both hard to come by in today's dog eat dog world, and is unparalleled!

I first ordered cultures from Kombucha America in October of 2014 and have been successfully brewing Kombucha with Scott's special Easy Brew Method every since -never once did I have a problem (only that one time when I tried to brew it "conventionally")! I just recently called Scott in regards to some statements I had heard and read on the internet regarding the ins and outs of Kombucha bacteria proliferation (source of oxygen, type of "food", etc) and he was able to answer any question I had in a way that made total sense and was easy and clear to understand. I now feel more confident about brewing my own Kombucha, than ever! If you are considering getting into it yourself, you want to do yourself a favor and give Kombucha Amerika and their simple starter cultures a chance, before you order any "scobies" out there... And don't get scared away by the -granted- rather old-school looking website! The product and customer service will make up for it in no time ;-).

Ordered two cultures 9/12. As easy as it is, once you correctly follow the easy directions, I managed to mess up the first batch. Think problem was jar my wife said was sugar was a mixture of sugar and salt. That didn't work.
Scott answered my questions and I have been making Kombucha for almost 5 years. I spend time making it because I think it benefits my body. Most of the time I drink it plain. For variety I like slicing 3-4 dried apricots and adding to a quart jar of drink. Dried blueberries give it a different color and taste. I like it best at 11-13 days. Stick with green tea or second choice plain black tea. Those are my suggestions.

By far the most comprehensible information and actual answers to all the questions about Kombucha. The fastest most personal support I have ever encountered, the guy called me back within minutes of an email or a phone call.... are you kidding me this is unheard of for any company big or small.
The product is by far the best, I have brewed 3 jugs of Kombucha tea and this method is the easiest and the best way ever.
I will be referring Kombucha America to everyone I know without any hesitation or regret.

Kombucha America is the top authority on Kombucha that I have found anywhere. Scott's knowledge and willingness to selflessly share this knowledge is beyond compare. He takes the time to answer any questions we have on our adventure of home brewing kombucha and he returns our phone calls extremely quickly. In the age of the internet it's pretty rare to find someone you can actually talk to on the phone. Kombucha America was recommended to me via my mom. She has been a Kombucha brewer and advocate for over 20 years. I find their service to be truly marvelous. Since this mushroom tea has become very popular, many companies are selling bottles of Kombucha in stores all across America to turn a profit. Kombucha America makes this tea affordable to all with home brew instructions. It's so easy to make and so inexpensive, I am surprised when my friends in Los Angeles don't brew it themselves! I'm currently a college student studying Dental Hygiene. All my class mates are getting sick constantly due to lack of sleep, stress, and being in close proximity with each other. I have kept up a daily regimen of drinking Kombucha and I haven't gotten sick once! Spread the word and spread the love! Kombucha is so good for you!

I bought two cultures 2-1/2 years ago and have been very pleased with my purchase. The Kombucha tea is delicious and it is so much cheaper to brew it at home rather than paying $4 plus for a bottle in the health food store! My husband and I are in our fifties, and since drinking Kombucha, our hair has turned from gray back to our original color!! That is amazing! Also have more energy now and are very seldom sick. We highly recommend Kombucha America!!!

I purchased a couple of scoby cultures over four years ago. I have been making kombucha ever since. Everyone thinks I make the best kombucha. I have purchased and been given others' kombucha. I must say, I agree with them. My kombucha is the best tasting. And the best looking. It always looks clear, crisp and inviting. No matter what flavor I make, it's always great. I think my kombucha tastes so much better than others because the culture from Kombucha America makes it so much better. Can't go wrong. Order today. You won't regret it.

I first ordered from Scott over 10 years ago, Before Kombucha was trendy lol. I have been brewing my amazing tea since then. I store my mother in the fridge and unfortunately the top popped off and dried up my mother. I called Scott to order another scoby and to my surprise he told me he would replace it for free. Even though i killed it myself and it has been years since I ordered from him.

When considering Kombucha America the thought is...wonderful, for the service ( this might better be, excellent service), and wonderful information, with a real look at how some would like to pull the wool over our eyes! Scott's intro is "wonderfully" plain as day. And a great "Easy Brew" that is beyond simple. It's been about 6 years, I think, when I first purchased from Scott, and do to my own skills (lack of) have had to emailed him a few times with questions, with almost instinct response! For my own health, what Scott stated as, an over all feeling of well being, would be the case. But with a very, very great ease of movement in the joints. I'm 82 and the laundry in up one and a half flites, coming down, with out my Kombucha is slow going (all things considered, hands full, etc.). Can't remember when I felt as well as when using Kombucha. Thanks Scott! Great Company!!

After moving around several times and back to Charlotte, I am finally able to start brewing again. I started back again with 2 bottles of already brewed kombucha tea at a local health food store. I stomached it as much as I could after I brewed a few batches and really don't like it, I remembered that Scott had mentioned that he would send me a replacement after purchasing two culture several years ago and no longer had my brewing system or and scobys, thankfully Scott was happy to send me replacements so I can get started again and leave that bottled kombucha in the stores!! :-)
I can hardly wait to get my new scobys so that I can get started again.
For anyone reading this review kombucha tea have great health benefits you should really try it, what can you loose, only bad health a trusted product and company.

I purchased my culture from Kombucha America in 2012. I looked over a lot of different places to buy it but found this to be the most honest and informative. I could tell that this was a company that truly cared about their customers health.I found the customer service outstanding. I had no problem making great batches of tea and even built a homemade incubator using a low watt bulb with adjustable dimmer to control temperature! After moving around a lot, I am finally able to start brewing again. Since I had purchased two cultures, Scott was happy to send me more replacements so I can get started again. Can't go wrong with Kombucha America!

I ordered my first scoby from Kombucha America in 2010, and when mixed with green tea and sugar, it flourished into a delicious, flawless probiotic health tonic. People have been telling me for years that my kombucha (ie Kombucha America's kombucha) is the best theyve ever tasted commerical or otherwise. I moved around a lot the past few years and eventually ordered more once I was in Europe. Same results. I'm even now selling kombucha commercially. I've run into a lot of people who claim that they cant seem to get it right. I've asked for samples of their cultures, and indeed they just dont grow like mine. The Kombucha America cultures are stronger than any I've ever worked with, and as someone who is becoming somewhat of a professional in the field, I have experimented with a lot. Also, works super well with green tea which is generally assumed to be much trickier than black tea.
On top of that, I've emailed Scott a few questions, and he's gotten back to me super quickly with lengthy, detailed answers.
I promise you, you will be not only satisfied but you will win over all of the people who have previously tried kombucha are on the fence about or dislike the taste. I don't like the word "best" but it's truly the best that I've found.

Due to two major operations in a short amount of time, the bacteria in my stomach was unable to digest food properly. I was borderline malnourished. I had at first used supplements for the deficiency, but because of the cost l researched other options and through Google searches decided to try Kombucha. The results were better than the supplements, but I still needed to address the cost, if possible. So back to Googling and Kombucha America stood out. Because of their informative web site they became my choice to buy scoby from and teach me how to make Kombucha. Their product, service and customer support are excellent.

A friend and I purchased our Kombucha cultures from Scott many years ago. When I emailed Scott recently to ask questions on getting started again with my mushroom from those original cultures he responded within hours. It is fantastic to have someone that not only just believes in his product, but is a living example of how truly amazing his product is.

I learned about Kombucha tea many years ago when my son was very young, he loved it and his eczema disappeared. Last year he came down with a very rare syndrome and recently his eczema has returned on his wrist. I'm confident Kombucha tea is going to help him again. I ordered scobys from Kombucha America last year & loved the easy brew method. Something went wrong after a few months & I got out of brewing kombucha. Really wanted to get back into it but couldn't find any information about the order. Fortunately, I had the shipping email buried in my mailbox & was able to get in touch with Scott. He replies immediately & I have scobys on the way to me already. WOW-thats good customer service. I'm kicking myself for not contacting him when I thought my brew had failed. Good job, Scott. Thanks!
