Korniche Reviews 

We have used various companies for our Bi folds and Roof products over the last 12 years of being in business. We have now used M.F.T for the last 6 years and the products and service have been superb. From the roofs to the patio and bi Folds. The new Korniche bi fold has taken it to a different level. Would recommend them to every installer and household excellent product.

Having researched every option, i recently ordered a large (3x1.5m) "Korniche" lantern rooflight and "Visofold" bi-fold aluminium doors from "Made for Trade".
Unfortunately it was not long after the "Brexit" fiasco where new borders were drawn and as i live in Northern Ireland, we now had to be exported too?
I knew this would involve some extra customs hassle for me and my supplier, but little did i know just how much.
However it still worked out a lot cheaper for me than to source a similar (but not as good a specification) product in Northern Ireland, so i decided to hang in there.
MFT were new to this themselves but were of enormous help and i have nothing but praise for Sufri Withers of MFT who always rose to the occassion when problems occured.
The rooflight and doors are as good as my research had indicated and the lantern rooflight has proved a big hit with all visitors.

Went to home building show at NEC and visited the Korniche stand twice, on both occasions Brad who we spoke to first and also Chris were both knowledgeable and super helpful. They both went above and beyond to explain everything. We will definitely purchase both the BiFold door and also Lanterns

Really rude customer service experience when interested in buying some bifolds at the NEC exhibition. Couldn't get out of there fast enough.

Apauling Customer Service and Delivery.

Not only did they deliver my product to the wrong address TWICE but when it finally came 2 WEEKS LATE it was dented and damaged. The whole thing was a complete farce and caused us lengthy delays on the build with installers waiting around for it to arrive! After talking with their customer service team, their response was that it wasn't their problem. Would avoid with a barge pole. You're better off spending a little more and getting one from a REPUTABLE company.

Amazing Roof Lanterns, Super easy to put together for a none experienced glazer! Super Quality and really Strong! Highly Recommended!

I received my lantern a few months ago it arrived on time and well packaged. Unfortunately due to a bad builder we needed to remove the lantern and rebuild the kerb. Korniche were so helpful instructing us how to remove it. They also sent us parts that the builder had damaged from not fitting as per the instructions. They sent us the parts on next day delivery and with no charge. Great window, unbelievable customer service.

I ordered a Roof Lantern from Korniche, via the Glazing Store. I was given an estimated delivery time that slipped a little once the order was confirmed, but better than any other lantern companies could offer.

The lantern is finally installed and looks great, is good value and my builder says is the best in the market to install.

Sadly this great product is ruined by a delivery service that is incompetent, run by Tuffnells. I could write pages on how awful they were but in summary
1. On advised delivery date only the glass was delivered
2. The next day the frame and kit was delivered but only 3 of 5 packages
3. The next day we were promised the rest. Nothing arrived
4. Day 4 we were told it had now all been delivered. I rang the builder to be told 1 of the 2 missing packages had been delivered but had been thrown off the van by the driver on to the drive without engaging with anyone at the site
5. After escalating through the Glazing Store (who were excellent throughout), I eventually got the name of a senior manager at Korniche who I emailed asking him to call me. He did eventually, and his opening words were "I don't talk to customers, we deal with everything through who you ordered from". No apology and no ability to get Tuffnells to actually do their job. He eventually agreed to have the missing package remade
6. Package promised for day 11. Spent the whole day at the property. It did not arrive. I rang the senior manager at Korniche who refused to talk to me as it was after 6pm !! (that's the delivery cut off)
7. Day 12 they agreed to remake it for a 2nd time when it unexpectedly turned up

If you want a good quality lantern at a reasonable price, buy it from Korniche (and use the Glazing store as they were great). It looks great. But BE WARNED, their delivery service is appalling. No track and trace, no messaging, no time window, failed promises galore and no care from drivers who literally throw expensive aluminium frames out of vans. Korniche seem to have no ability or desire to do anything about the delivery issues. Indeed the senior manager told me it was an "industry issue that they were not concerned about"

Korniche Roof Lantern
Very pleased with the product, looks good, is easy to install (I followed a video from skill builder which was very helpful). Installed now for a few months and no issues. Pleased with the self cleaning glass, doing a great job against bird deposits! If I have a need for another rooflight in the future will use this company.

Would recommend.

Order process - not too bad although took quite some time to get right.
Delivery - got a date several weeks away but that was ok and although delayed by a day all good. Packaged well and was going to sit for a couple of days before being installed, so left in the packaging.
On installation day the guys doing the install discovered two damaged parts to the frame. One part bent right back at a corner, which they were able to straighten and one of the upward facing fascias was dented along a few inches. Installation was completed due to scheduling of whole project, which couldn't take any delays (also we thought it would likely take weeks to get replacement parts and integrity of frame wasn't compromised).
Complained about damage and supplied photos but was told that as per the policy they can't provide compensation, that they would have replaced parts had they been told prior to installation.
So as with other reviews here, beware of damaged parts and look quickly so you can get to the bottom of it before installation.

From ordering to fitting I cannot rate this company highly enough. I spoke to customer services before ordering ( Mat, I think ) who talked me through the construction of the upstand ( the bit the lantern sits on ) and how to measure it correctly. Due to the Covid outbreak it did take 12 weeks for it to arrive, however, I was pre warned of the delay. It is so well packed and wrapped you will need a visit to the tip to get rid of it all, bubble wrap by the mile..
The actual product is superb and fits together like a dream. It took 3 hours from opening the first package to fitting the final piece by a guy who had never fitted one before. There was a slight issue as two plugs got lost in the fitting process but a quick phone call and they sent more than enough replacements, free of charge, that arrived the following morning. In short, if you want a roof lantern, buy from Korniche.

In short 5* for slim design and thermal bridging etc but 0* for quality and finishing and quality control from the factory.
careful if your looking to buy one of these, We liked the look and design etc of these so ordered one. And although we still like the system theyve designed and way it works, with thermal bridging and slim design, we have not been happy with the manufacturing finish.
in short check and double check all your parts if you do order one and blow out all the small filing etc, we have now had 11 replacements over a 3 week period for a 18 piece roof lantern. and they keep blaming the couriers, the damage is not down to couriers (they are well wrapped and packaged, 3 or more layers or bubblewrap with thick plastic wrap and doubled over on the ends, and no marks on the wrapping before opening), some maybe but i am certain that some are being made in the factory and still being sent out. So there cant be any "Quality control".
But like i say above, we do still like the design and maybe, just maybe we've been unlucky 11 times! or maybe they hope you dont notice??😕😡
I'd love to give some photos of the grind marks (from a grinder or alike) and drag marks (like being dragged over concrete) or scuffs and damage to paintwork etc. Just so you could see. Also some of the later parts which are white turned up in more of a Matt finish than the originals that look like gloss.....poor show. It's a shame as it could of been a premium product..

Well difficult to know where to start ordered the product - Korniche Lantern through Roofglaze. Seems that despite a 4 week lead time not disclosed at time of order, and confirmation that the product was due to be delivered on time, Korniche have spectacularly failed to deliver the right packages for installation.
Having been notified of the failed delivery (Monday) have been reassured the missing packages would turn up (Tuesday) and then (Friday), blamed issues with the courier ( loosing packages / data centre issues / track and trace issues ) Korniche it appears have then spent the rest of week failing to get the right parts to site.

All in all this remains a poor experience from start to finish and to date has cost us two failed installations.

It is a ridiculously poor show, add to this the dismal support from staff when calling up to question installation issues and you have to ask why anyone would choose to go down this route, I just wish someone would have gone through the process first.

It is clear issues happen making sure that these are addressed quickly and efficiently with clear communication is the key to bring this to conclusion, that has all be sadly missing this week.
