At first, my experience with KPI Recruitment in Crewe was very positive. My first temporary job through them was excellent — the company I worked for even wanted to keep me on permanently, but it was simply too expensive to “buy me out” from KPI. My next role was also a good experience; the company appreciated my work and enjoyed having me there, but again, it was only a temporary position.

Unfortunately, my most recent placement with a company called Valentte was where things took a disappointing turn.

I was informed of feedback from Valentte suggesting that I had been unprofessional and had a poor attitude. This came as a complete shock to me, as throughout my time there, I had only received one complaint from a customer — which I believe was entirely false and based on a misrepresentation of what was said. I shared my side of the story with Ellie, my consultant, who was sympathetic and apologised for what had happened.

To make matters worse, on what turned out to be my last day at Valentte — though no one had informed me of this — I was asked to return my fob under the pretense that the company was changing the locks. This was clearly not true and felt like a dishonest way of letting me go. To add insult to injury, they later posted me back a small pencil case and notebook I had left behind — a petty and unnecessary gesture, especially coming from a company that labelled me unprofessional.

Ellie had promised to look for another placement for me and initially mentioned another job. But when I followed up, she seemed to have no idea what I was referring to. Since then, it’s been complete silence from the agency — it’s now been around three weeks without a single update or response.

I am extremely disappointed by how things have been handled and feel completely let down. What started as a promising relationship with KPI Recruitment has ended with poor communication, false promises, and a lack of professionalism from both the agency and the client they placed me with. Based on this experience, I will not be recommending KPI Recruitment to anyone.

I recently applied for a graduate Teaching Assistant position at KPI Educations and was contacted by a recruiter named Andrew Zahorodny. At first, Andrew seemed genuinely interested in my application and gave me a brief overview of the role, including details about the salary and the documents I needed to provide. Everything seemed legitimate at that point.

He then sent me a link to register on one of the company's websites, where I was asked to submit some personal information and sign a few documents. I completed the registration process as requested. However, after that point, communication abruptly stopped. I reached out to Andrew a couple of times via WhatsApp but received no response.

A couple of days later, I called the agency directly and asked to speak with Andrew. I was told he was out of the office and that he’d return my call the next day. It’s now been almost a week, and I haven’t heard anything back from him or the agency.

This sudden silence—especially after submitting personal information—feels suspicious. I'm now questioning the legitimacy of the agency and whether I may have unknowingly shared my information with a scam.

I've never left a review on anything but I felt the need to in this case as a warning for anyone who chooses to apply. I've seen quite a few reviews on here that seem to share the same sentiment that the agency may in fact be a scam.

I’m very disappointed with my experience dealing with this agency regarding my outstanding holiday pay. After I stopped working at the Evri site in Birmingham due to personal reasons, I reached out multiple times to request information about the holiday pay I was still owed — which was over £1,000.

Despite emailing and clearly explaining my situation, I was initially told by Charles that all of my holiday pay had already been paid — which was completely untrue. It was only after I challenged this and insisted they check again that Charles admitted I was still owed money and told me it would finally be paid.

This shows a clear lack of care and basic diligence in handling workers’ pay — something that should be a priority for any agency. If I hadn’t chased this up repeatedly and stood my ground, I may never have received what I was legally entitled to.

I would strongly advise anyone considering this agency to double-check their pay and holiday entitlement, as my experience has been stressful, frustrating, and a waste of my time.

It was a great experience. I was looking for a job, I applied on a Tuesday and they told me to start coming on Wednesday, which was great. Special thanks to Agnes as whenever I had any questions I ask her and she replies very quickly.

I was contacted by KPI recruitment shortly after I finished my Psychology degree. I was called by a woman named Casey who obviously couldn’t sing my praises loud enough (CV is excellent, experience is amazing for someone my age, my educational level is superb etc etc) yeah right lol🤣. They clearly prey on young people who are fresh out of university desperate for a job through these tactics and though I was wary of recruitment agencies, I didn’t have anything to lose. They are very quick to get you on board with signing documents, sharing personal info, providing proof of address, both passport & driving license for ID. At this point I was passed onto a woman called Georgia. After I had provided this, as they were both certain I would be able to AT LEAST get an interview for a job in a school, but likely a job, there was radio silence. I was the one who had to do the chasing (emailing both of them!) which is unfair, they assured me something would come up however I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited until now (3 months after I was contacted) - I haven’t heard anything from Casey or Georgia since May! Since, I have had 4 interviews, 3 successful and starting a job in August. Be wary of recruiters and especially KPI, like I said, they take advantage of young university students who just want to start work. I am gravely disappointed in their tactics and lack of communication. AVOID.

From initial introduction with Esme my KPI journey was supportive and I didn’t lose hope that something was going to show up to suit my skills. Even though waiting a few months for the right opening, Esme kept in contact with me and put my cv forward for many roles in that time. I also had support from Meg during this time and both Esme and Meg were bright and bubbly over the telephone and super efficient. I am now placed in a family business in my new role and I can’t thank them enough as it’s working with such nice people. Have faith, and your next job will be just round the corner. I recommend KPI as they were the most supportive agency to me in my search and still are, thank you KPI, especially Esme and Meg for your friendly non judgmental kind approach.

I had the wonderful experience of working with Andy at KPI and he was very responsive and quick to get my application out there. I got an offer in less than 2 weeks and could not be more excited to start! I got very lucky I happened to apply through this agency and hope others have as much luck.
