Before you book, remember to NOT continue

When you try booking with them on their website, WOW what an amazing experience! Before the payment page completes loading, your account is already debited.
But the second there is a cancellation initiated from THEIR side, God bless you and your efforts to reach them. As of today it has been 38 "Working days" and 60 calendar days since I have been following up for a refund. Absolutely NO use ! Their customer service redirects you to their offices and vice versa.

Dear Kuwait Airways Support Team,

Dear Kuwait Airways Support Team,

I am writing to formally complain regarding the cancellation of my flight without proper prior notice or support.

My flight details are as follows:

Passenger Name: Mohammed Muneeruddin
Airline: Kuwait Airways
Flight Number: KU774
PNR Number: 8OXD73
Travel Date: 24 May 2026

My flight was cancelled unexpectedly, and I did not receive any proper email, call, or advance notification regarding the cancellation. Due to this sudden cancellation, I faced serious inconvenience, mental stress, financial loss, and travel disruption.

Additionally, when I requested a refund, I was informed that only 78% of the ticket amount would be refunded. This is unacceptable because the cancellation was not caused by me. Therefore, I request:

1. Full refund of my ticket amount
2. Compensation for the inconvenience and damages caused
3. Clear written explanation regarding the cancellation
4. Immediate assistance for alternative travel arrangements
And I buying new another ticket today 2600 riyal I want my last payment

If this issue is not resolved promptly, I may be forced to escalate the matter to the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), consumer protection authorities, and other legal channels.

I request your urgent response and resolution.

Sincerely,
Mohammed Muneeruddin
Saudi Arabia

Kuwait Airways is an absolute shambles

Kuwait Airways is an absolute shambles, from a glitchy website to an indifferent crew (zero drinks service on a 8.5 hour flight). Worst of all, despite a government decree they have not yet refunded us for flights they cancelled over a month ago. Avoid!

I used to think they were amazing

I used to think they were amazing, after cancelling and not refunding my ticket last year I gave them the benefit of the doubt because it was the beginning of the war in 2025.

Though after then canceling and not refunding my ticket this year, I’m completely fed up with Kuwait Airways.

They gaslight you by saying they’ve refunded you already but nothing is in the accounts then come up saying need more information to refund. Sooner or later they’ll be asking for my blood for confirmation!!

Not only that, but they’re taking more money away from their employees!!! They already earn the worst salaries an airline can offer and on top of that they want to take away their benefits!?!?!? What a scam this airline is.

Scammer Airways

They cancelled my flight in March due to the war situation, but they refuse to refund my money. It has been over two months. Cancelling a flight is one thing, but keeping the passenger's money is just theft. Don't trust them with a single cent.

I cant get any refund since 4th of March.

My flight on 14th of March got cancelled due to war. I made dozens of refund requests. They sent just half of my original payment. For the other part I cant get any answer since 26th of April. They are just sending me robotic messages. They handled this situation very bad and i couldnt get the half.

Don't Bother

Having a scheduled flight changed by 3 hours I cancelled the flight as my autistic child would not cope with the new 4.5 hour layover.
I first requested a refund by Whatsapp on 8th March to be 'told' 30 working days. Despite it now being more than 2 months and despite several more Whatsapp messages there is still no refund.
This company are just awful and it's tantamount to theft in my opinion.
AVOID like The Plague.
I am giving an update. It is now 13th July, more than 4 months since I requested a refund and despite many emails & messages I keep getting sent in circles by kuwaitair and still no refund (the ticket is mostly refundable on the t&cs). I have now initiated a s75 claim to my card to try and get the refundable amount back. Terrible company.

Super worst airline and their customer support

Alert! Never ever book a flight with Kuwait Airways. They are the worst. They can cancel your flight anytime without any proper explanation. They fly when they want to, and when they don’t want to, they simply won’t.

Their customer service is terrible. Whenever you call, they say, “Our system is updating, please call again after tomorrow.” I booked my ticket 4 months in advance, and they cancelled it just 15 days before my flight.

They are not allowing me to rebook my ticket online and asking me to contact the service center. The service center barely answers calls. I called them at least 25 times from a foreign country, and they disconnected 24 of those calls after making me wait 8–10 minutes each time.

On the 25th call, I finally got through, but the issue still wasn’t resolved because the customer service representative said their system was updating and asked me to call again after a few days.

It was a horrible experience. I wasted a lot of money on international calls, which are expensive. I also sent WhatsApp messages, but after waiting an hour, the only reply I got was: “Please contact us again after some time.” I sent emails as well and still haven’t received any response.

My sincere advice: if you want trouble in your life, book a ticket with Kuwait Airways.

BEWARE! DO NOT BOOK!

BEWARE! NEVER BOOK IN THIS COMPANY!!!

I will write this again!

We paid for £2451.25 for our flight
We paid for £2451.25 for our flight. The agent called they said we could have full refund if we cancel our flight as early 12 of March. The agent calling us that said we could cancel our flight and can have full refund if cancelled within the next 2hours. Thinking that all flights has been cancelled in Kuwait airways, ao we cancelled it. Again they mentions that we could have full refund so we could book again for our flight when the refund processed. However, they only refunded us yesterday after more than 6weeks with £757.75 which is not the full refund itself but only the unused tax amount. The agent that we spoken with yesterday was dude as well. Probably don’t understand the situation that people save money to buy ticket to go home to spend time with family but now could not be possibly do because they have not given the full refund that we are expecting.
This is unacceptable. It is stealing money. Don’t book with this agency.

Worest service

I had a very poor experience with entity[“company”,“Kuwait Airways”,“national airline of Kuwait”].

The Delhi customer care was extremely unhelpful and the staff spoke in a rude and dismissive manner. Instead of resolving the issue, they kept redirecting me without providing any clear answers.

At the same time, reaching Kuwait customer support has been equally difficult. Calls are not answered properly, and there is no clear communication or ownership of the issue. I have been asked multiple times to contact different offices, but no one is taking responsibility.

A large amount of my money (around ₹25,00,00)is stuck, and despite repeated follow-ups, the refund has not been processed. This level of service is unacceptable, especially in such serious situations.

I strongly urge the airline to improve its customer support and refund handling process. Until then, I would advise other travelers to be cautious while booking with this airline.

If this issue is not resolved soon, I will have no option but to take further action.

This was my first flight book for 26…

This was my first flight book for 26 morning flight # KU 394 from ktm to Kuwait and KU 671 from Kuwait to DXB . Which got cancelled few hours earlier the flight time with no reason provided . I travelled from remote part of Nepal to the TIA Airport and shocked to know the flight was cancelled. It is very gruesome for budgeted travellers like me. And the experience is not happy for me. At least some reason provided or some postponed schedule Notice could have been okey for us.

Worst Experience Ever

Will never be booking with Kuwait Airways ever again. Cancelled my flight with less than 48 hours notice even though they knew 100% that the flight was not going ahead because of the war given that their airport is closed and has been for a long time.

Other airlines with OPEN AIRPORTS cancelled flights all the way until JUNE! Giving their customers a good enough time frame to reschedule and re plan their travels. And Kuwait with a CLOSED DESTROYED airport did not even come close to doing this. They want to cling onto peoples money until the very last minute to use us as leverage to save their dying company.

Let me tell you integrity and good customer service always wins in the end. When Kuwait airport reopens, their reputation from handling this situation will be their downfall and that’s what happens when you put money first over the customer.

Tried reaching out to them multiple times on WhatsApp about the issue and they literally tip toe around anything you ask and try to avoid accountability. “Nothing we can do as flights are suspended, we have no updates as of right now” was the response I kept receiving anytime I asked a question. Absolutely shocking.

We had pre booked hotels and domestic flights at the destination we were meant to travel to. Because of Kuwait’s last minute cancellation we lost out on the money spent on those and of course no compensation.

What a disgrace of an airline.

What a disgrace of an airline.

I had a flight from Delhi to Madrid. I noticed that their airport had been under attack for over a month. On top of that, the airport’s radar was broken. I wrote to them to see if they were going to cancel the flight.

They canceled the flight 24 hours in advance, even though they knew well in advance that the flight wasn’t going to take off. But until they canceled the flight, there was nothing I could do.

If they had canceled the flight sooner, I could have easily bought other tickets at a lower price (and they knew perfectly well well in advance that the flight wasn’t going to take off). In the end, I had to buy much more expensive tickets with a much longer layover, and the stress this caused me throughout the trip.

My recommendation: don’t buy anything from this terrible airline. In the end, I flew with Emirates and had no problems. If you’re going to take a flight, take it with Emirates, Qatar, or Etihad, even if it takes longer.

Kuwait Airlines, you’re a bunch of incompetents!!!

Avoid at all costs: Negligent, Unprofessional, and Costly

Review: A Masterclass in Poor Communication and Total Disregard for Passengers
Rating: ⭐ / 5
I would give zero stars if I could. My experience with Kuwait Airways regarding my Delhi to Cairo flight has been an absolute nightmare of negligence and corporate greed.
The Timeline of Failure:
• Weeks of Uncertainty: As the conflict with Iran escalated, we reached out repeatedly to ask about the status of our flights. We wanted to be proactive.
• Refusal to Help: Despite the obvious instability in the region, Kuwait Airways refused to allow us to cancel without a heavy penalty. They insisted the flights were fine, essentially forcing us to keep our bookings.
• The Last-Minute Blow: After stonewalling us for weeks, they finally cancelled the flight just two days before departure.
The Consequences:
While Kuwait Airways will eventually refund the ticket cost, the damage is already done. Because they waited until 48 hours before the flight to take action:
1. Non-refundable Bookings: We have lost thousands on hotels and internal flights in Egypt that can no longer be cancelled.
2. Price Hikes: Trying to book a last-minute alternative now costs three times the original price.
3. No Flexibility: Other reputable airlines gave their passengers the option to cancel without penalty weeks ago, allowing them to make alternative arrangements. Kuwait Airways chose to wait, leaving us stranded and out of pocket.
Final Verdict:
They lack the basic empathy and professional foresight required to operate during a crisis. By holding out on cancellations until the last moment, they ensured their passengers suffered maximum financial loss on their broader travel plans.
Avoid this airline if you value your time, your money, or your sanity.

Mangemnt lost with no plans during the air closure because of the war.

Kuwait airways customer service refused to offer a full refund to the tickets 2 weeks before the flight nor refund hotels if they dont notify me beforehand. Not only that but the airline customer service informed me that i will only get a notice 1 day before the flight of its canslation, and 2-3weeks for the refund to arrive. Meaning that even with such a short notice i wont be able to rebook with another airline and despite the clear signs of the air not being open any time soon they wont offer me a fee free cancelation 2 weeks prior.

To add to that they started routes from dammam airport and to reroute to that airport i need to pay a price difference that is 2 times the ticket fare i already paid. They do not honour their customers nor have any respect and only care about their pockets shrinking.

I contacted Kuwait Airways Paris office to enquire about current situation. The lady is responding without any respect and not allowing me to speak during call.
