Never again
Never again!
I've booked a number of times. Each time I have booked early and each time schedule changes within weeks of the flight have resulted in a huge amount of stress. The staff in London and on Whatapp try their best to help but have no authority to assist customers. They have no power and no facility to speak to those that can sort out the problems caused by their schedule changes. They only give an email address for customers to contact which is rarely answered and when it is answered its only auto messages saying the matter is being reviewed and promising responses that never come. Refunds are impossible to get. It appears to me that the airline offer flights at prices to beat the competition. Once booked the airline hold onto customers money for months. Close to the flight date they inform of changes - for me this has meant on a number of occasions I cannot meet connection resulting in long waits (sometimes days) or long journeys travelling in destination to get to original place. By the time the airline inform of changes the prices for competition flights have all increased. Kuwait Airways will then not offer a satisfactory alternative. Only offering a refund or one of their other flights on different days or to different locations. On 2 occasions I have eventually managed to get them to offer a flight with another carrier by quoting their terms and conditions however this was only given literally days before the trip was due to start. It was continuously refused by them. Days before the departure date I did not know if I had a flight despite booking nearly a year in advance. I am waiting for a refund of the price paid for upgraded seats which were not provided due to different aircraft and change in schedules by them. This is ongoing months after the flight with no response from them. I have now taken this to the credit card company for them to seek a charge back. This being my last resort. Kuwait Airways- definitely one to be avoided! Unbelievable bad service especially given their recent awards. Not once, not twice....absolutely I'm done with the airline. Do not trust the schedule and do not trust they will comply with the terms and conditions. If you book with them be ready to take court action for the failings!

Abysmal 'Customer Service'
This is the worst airline I have ever had the misfortune of booking with – and I didn’t even get to fly with them!
In February 2024 I booked return flights from Istanbul to the Philippines with Kuwait Airways. Later that month I received notifications that my flights had been re-scheduled. Not only were the times all changed, but the dates as well! Whilst I have sometimes had flight times altered slightly, I have never known an airline to change the day of departure. But this was done for both the outward and return journeys. This caused me a serious problem, because I had already booked and paid for connecting flights with an airline in the Philippines.
So I decided to claim a refund. On their website it states in their terms and conditions that a refund will be paid in 14 days. Too long. But their refund application confirmation email stated 30 days! That was even worse, because I needed the money back so I could re-book elsewhere.
I contacted ‘customer service’ on WhatsApp. After some time someone responded to say that I would receive my refund in 30-45 days! I responded and said this was unacceptable. They responded with the same message. No apology, zero courtesy.
I emailed ‘customer service’. No response. I emailed them again. No response. I got two more email addresses by calling their customer service office in London (who were, ironically, very courteous, but unable to assist as I had booked online).
I continued to email them on a daily basis, pointing out that 30-45 days was contravening their own 14 day terms and conditions, which in itself is unreasonable. After a total of 8 emails (in which I added a demand for compensation) I eventually received a curt one line response stating that my refund would be paid in 4 working days. I received it almost three weeks after the refund application.
I ended up paying an extra £250 or so to rebook the long haul flights, change the local connecting flights, and change my accommodation dates.
Apparently this risible airline was lauded as the ‘most improved’ airline in 2019. I can only assume the bar must have been set very low.
It is clear from their failure to respond to reviews on Trustpilot that they do not care about customers. My experience also bears that out.
In my opinion they do not deserve to be in business. Avoid.
Great airline
The flight left on time, the food was nice and the staff were also great I had no problems with Kuwait airlines at all.
We as a family of 3 travelled with them…
We as a family of 3 travelled with them 12 th of September 23, from Manchester to Pakistan, via Kuwait. When we reached our destination whole the people which boarded from Manchester, their luggage was left in Kuwait. We all waited around the belt for about 1½ hour and were told by their staff, about this. They only had two people filling the forms for the missing luggage, which took another 2½ hours. We were told that it will arrive on the next day flight, but arrived after 3 days. It cost me around £300 in a taxi to go and pick it up. After that i made a complaint regarding this on their website and after about 7 months got a reply that , the complaint team has forwarded the issue to the relevant department and it won't happen again, but there is nothing they can do further. Please stay well away from this unprofessional so called Airline. Stay well away fro.these bandits. Case No Re: CASE: 6164-23 GD QCC7GF Booking Ref. Missing Luggage

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the unprofessional conduct I experienced during a recent security screening at Kuwait Airport on 28/03/2024. Security on gate D2. As a frequent traveler, I understand the importance of security measures at airports, but the treatment I received was unacceptable and left me feeling extremely frustrated and disrespected. Search was conducted by an Asian male and over looked by a rude native security personnel who keep pushing the other security staff to degrade people.
No responce from Kuwait Airways customer services
I flew with Kuwait in December with my family and paid to reserve exit row seats on all four legs of the journey. At check-in we were told they were unable to give us the seats and that I should request a refund for the price I paid for the seats, which seemed reasonable. However it has been impossible to get acknowledgement or a responce from Kuwait's customer services. I am appaled by the way they are ignoring a customer with a reasonable request.
Worst airlines.
Worst airlines.
The staff is arrogant they don't help the passengers at all.
Every airline allows wrapping of sporting goods but they don't. They don't publish rules anywhere and then the staff harasses.

Had 4 flights with Kuwait Airlines just recently. Well organized, plane was neat and comfy. They gave us pillows and duvets, good experience overall.
Much much better than their reputation…
I appreciate the majority of reviews are terrible.
However we flew from London to Kuwait and on to Manila.
Had a couple of issues pre flight. Whatsapped them and they responded each time in 15 minutes or so.
The aircraft themselves were 777s and pretty new. The space both width and legroom better than any other in economy. Film selection for English speakers not that great. The food was truly excellent.
They don’t serve alcohol or bacon sandwiches. But airlines are transport systems, not bars. Does anyone really need a drink that badly on a flight?
Service from staff was excellent.
My experience- much better than their reputation and certain as good as Qatar or Emirates.
Disappointed by missed flight and lack of response
I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the lack of response and compensation after I missed my flight due to delays caused by your airline. On february 22nd 2024, I had a connecting flight through your service, with the initial departure from Paris and the subsequent leg from Kuwait. However, due to the first flight's departure delay, I missed the connecting flight, causing significant inconvenience to my travel plans for Chennai.
Despite multiple attempts to communicate my situation to your customer service team, I have yet to receive any acknowledgment or assistance. This lack of response compounds the frustration experienced as a result of the missed flight. I urge you to address this issue promptly and provide the necessary compensation for the disruption caused.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
NEVER fly with Kuwait Airlines at any time!
What a worthless company. We missed our connection at Kuwait Airport. Then you are put in a detention hotel, without your suitcases. (We for 24 hours). That hotel is a prison you can't get out of. with closed doors and security. No service like a toothbrush, etc., etc. You also have to pay for your own drinks. And if you complain afterwards you simply won't get any response. (Up to the ambassy). What a worthless society, what rude people. And please note: there is no beer or wine available on board. Not even if you fly intercontinental and to Kuwait airport. Never with this company! Never go to this country!
Not recommended very bad experience
I flew with Kuwait Airways from London LHR to Lahore on a return flight. The airplane carpet, toilet, and seats were not properly cleaned. The cabin crew and airport staff were unfriendly. The seat legroom was adequate, but the seats themselves were not comfortable. I've flown with other airlines such as Emirates, Qatar Airways, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, and Gulf Air, but my experience with Kuwait Airways was the worst. I would even go so far as to say it's the most racist airline, especially for passengers traveling in economy class or holding Asian passports, such as Indian, Bangladeshi, or Pakistani passports.
After passing three security checks at Lahore Airport, the airline staff conducted additional security checks at the entrance of the plane, which was annoying. I've never had this kind of experience with other airlines. Upon arrival at Kuwait Airport for our connection, after passing security and checking our luggage which is fine they must have to do that for our safety and security , we were subjected to another round of checks based on nationality at airplane gate. For instance, if you had an Indian, Pakistani, or Bangladeshi passport, they would again check your hand luggage, ask you to remove your shoes, and conduct a swab test, which was particularly frustrating. Conversely, if you held an American, British, or Kuwaiti passport, you were not subjected to further checks at the plane gate.
They need to realize that they cannot judge anyone based on their skin color, nationality, or passport. This experience left me feeling that Kuwait Airways is the most racist airline with dirty planes and toilets. It was my first and last experience with Kuwait Airways
A disgrace
Booked a flight in advance, flight got rescheduled and makes no sense. The flights are misconnecting and Kuwait airways are doing nothing to help!
Prices for flights have gone up so it's costing too much to book a new return flight.
Awful and ready to take them to court.
Avoid like plague
Book this if you want the worst possible customer experience! Delayed flights, lost baggage, callous attitude and basically customer support channels that just dont work. Lost baggage number is just wrong, no one answers it. Customer service email does not work. Whatsapp service is basic at best.
Dont fly this even if you are given a free ticket. They just dont care about customers.
The change over at Kuwait airport will put an old Indian bus stand to shame. It is that bad.
Subject: Feedback on Recent Flight Experience with Kuwait Airways
Dear Kuwait Airways Management,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share my recent experience with Kuwait Airways, particularly during my flight from Kuwait to Dhaka.
While my journey from Milan to Kuwait was satisfactory in terms of service, I encountered some concerning issues on the subsequent leg of my trip. Firstly, the aircraft appeared to have maintenance issues, raising concerns about passenger safety.
More notably, the conduct of the cabin crew was less than satisfactory. I understand that dealing with passengers can be challenging, especially if some are unfamiliar with air travel etiquette. However, I observed a consistent lack of professionalism among the majority of the air hostesses on this particular flight.
In any situation, cabin crew members are expected to maintain composure, extend courtesy, and handle interactions with passengers in a calm and respectful manner. Unfortunately, this was not the case during my recent journey. Many of the air hostesses exhibited rude behavior, including shouting and screaming at passengers.
I believe that providing additional training to the cabin crew would greatly benefit the overall passenger experience. Training in customer service, effective communication, and conflict resolution could contribute to a more positive atmosphere on your flights.
It is crucial to treat all passengers with equal respect and ensure that the cabin crew represents the values of Kuwait Airways. I trust that you will take this feedback seriously and consider implementing measures to enhance the training and professionalism of your air hostesses.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I hope to see positive changes in the future.
Best regards,
A Concerned Passenger
Poor service and no follow up
4 of us travelled business class to SE Asia from LHR, return flight was delayed by 24 hours with most of it stuck in the lounge at Kuwait airport. I emailed them on return. No apology nor acknowledgement. How can they grow this sector with service like this?
Overcharged in Luggage due to Kuwait Airline Miscommunication
Our flight was on 21st December 2023, but I was not sure the amount of luggages or luggage weight we was entitle to as there no indictation on the flight ticket. I visited the Kuwait Airways website, the airline we were flying with, to gather information. Unfortunately, the information provided on Kuwait airways website was confusing and unclear. It stated that for Economy Class (All fare classes other than V & T), the allowance was 2 pieces of luggage weighing 23kg each, and for Economy Class (Fare Class V & T), the allowance was 1 piece of luggage weighing 32kg.
We interpreted this as each passenger being allowed 2 pieces of luggage weighing 23kg each, considering we were two passengers, allowing us a total of 4 pieces of luggage, each weighing 23kg.However, upon reaching the check-in counter at Heathrow Airport, we were informed that we could only take one piece of luggage, weighing 32kg, per person. This news came as a shock to us, as we had prepared and packed based on the understanding that we were entitled to the earlier mentioned 2 pieces of luggage, each weighing 23kg.
Despite showing the staff at the check-in counter the information we had gathered from the airline's website, we were advised that the allowance of 2 pieces of luggage, weighing 23kg each, was applicable only for the return journey from Dhaka to Heathrow. For the journey from Heathrow to Dhaka, the allowance was restricted to 1 piece of luggage, weighing 32kg per person.
As a result of this miscommunication, we were left with no choice but to pay an additional fee of £195 UK pounds for the extra luggage. This unexpected expense has caused us significant distress and inconvenience, and I firmly believe that it was the responsibility of your agency to provide clear and accurate information regarding the luggage allowance at the time of ticket purchase.
I have made formal Complaint on Kuwait Airways Website 2 weeks ago, but no reply.
Bad Service when checking in
When we were departing from Manchester the flight was delayed for an hour.
When going through checkin we had our luggage as per the allowance but had done a separate box for a microwave which we had rang the airline prior to our travel.
Lady over the phone confirmed this was ok to do but when we got to the airport we had to unpack all the packaging and put into one despite requesting they did not allow this.
So many other passengers had problems with luggage when checking in, first time I’ve seen anything like this.
Then on my return flight same problem, my hand luggage is over and need to pay or send it back. The plane was half empty if it was full I would understand.
Never travel with this airline, a very stressful experience:(
Give to good training to staff..
Give to good training to staff... Supply tasty food.... Thanks
