Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 621 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people found significant issues with the platform's functionality, including pages not loading and links not working, alongside concerns about the fairness of games. Consumers frequently reported that the games, particularly slots, were perceived as unfair with low return-to-player rates, leading to minimal or no winnings and "dead spins" even after substantial spending. Reviewers also expressed frustration with payment practices, such as best odds guaranteed not being honored, and issues with payouts or account closures affecting access to funds. Customer service was often described as unhelpful and providing generic responses, while the cost of redeeming loyalty points was seen as excessively high. However, some customers also noted that the withdrawal process was often fast and efficient, with funds arriving in bank accounts quickly.

Customer advisor admitted the block will stay on my account, when pointing out the company was a scam he replied why would you want to be with us we’re scamming people luckily I have recorded the call! Rang back and was told no one could speak to me as I was recording ……something to worry about Ladbrokes? If your agents and yourselves have done nothing wrong then you wouldn’t be co termed about being recorded!
Stay well away from them they will take your money and block your account! Admitting you’re scamming people wow!
Thanks for the proof though I will made sure it lands in the correct hands! You need investigating

Placed a bet on the Irish Grand National and was told by the member of staff in the shop that each way was for the first six places. My horse finish sixth I went to pick up my winnings and was told it was only paying the first five places the information of point of sale was incorrect and after speaking to customer services the area manager is refusing to pay out over 40 years of betting with this company and there will be no more shocking service.

EDIT: THEY HAVE NOW BLOCKED ME FROM USING THE ONLINE CHAT

My mum likes a spin occasionally she’s a pensioner and gets bored, she had a little win, at withdrawal she was asked for all kinds of stuff which she provided and apparently that’s not good enough, they are now refusing to pay out and refusing to pay back what was deposited since opening. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING TO SCAM A PENSIONER!

Reputable company

Overall this is one of the more reputable online sites. They pay relatively quick and never a problem with payment. They are fair and you win fair and square. No catches. I see a review about chat bots and I hope its not going to ruin a reputable company like many others. I'll know when I have an issue I suppose. Definitely one of the better sites for my needs.

frustrating experience…

I’ve had a very frustrating experience with Ladbrokes and won’t be using them again.

On multiple occasions, I’ve placed bets only to later notice that key details had changed without any clear notification. Odds shifting after selection, stakes not reflecting what was originally entered, and bets being accepted under different conditions than expected — all of which completely undermine trust in the platform.

What’s most concerning is the lack of transparency. There’s no clear alert or confirmation highlighting these changes before the bet is finalized, which leaves you second-guessing whether what you submitted is actually what you’re getting.

Customer support hasn’t been particularly helpful either — responses feel generic and don’t properly address the issue. For a company of this size, you’d expect far better accuracy and communication.

Overall, it creates the impression that the system is unreliable at best. When real money is involved, that’s simply not acceptable.

I’d strongly advise others to double-check every detail before confirming a bet — or better yet, consider using a more transparent bookmaker.

Ladbrokes had absolutely no issue…

Ladbrokes had absolutely no issue accepting my deposit through a virtual card. The moment I won and tried to withdraw, my account was restricted. That timing speaks for itself.

They then demanded a copy of the virtual card, including the front and back. I explained repeatedly, in clear terms, that a virtual card does not physically exist. There is no front and there is no back. It is a digital payment method. This is basic, standard knowledge, not some unusual exception.

Instead of using common sense or passing the case to someone capable of understanding the issue, their customer service team kept sending the exact same copy and paste request again and again, as though nobody had read a single word I wrote. It felt less like customer support and more like a scripted barrier designed to frustrate the customer into silence.

Let us be clear about what happened. Ladbrokes was perfectly happy to accept money from that virtual card when it suited them. The very same card suddenly became a problem only when it was time to pay out winnings. Whether that is incompetence or deliberate obstruction, the result is the same: the customer is left locked out of their money for no fair reason.

I complied. I submitted the utility bill they requested. I gave clear explanations. I did everything asked of me apart from providing an impossible document that does not exist in the first place, to which I tool a snapshot of my account statement and the island where my Virtual Card resides on the bank app. Still, my account remained restricted and my money was withheld.

This has been one of the most frustrating and infuriating customer experiences I have had. Based on my experience, Ladbrokes seems very efficient when taking deposits and far less interested when it comes to releasing legitimate winnings. I would strongly warn others to be extremely careful. You can tell from their rating on here.
