when you join LA Fitness, they will push you to take personal trainer. but beware, by the push of the button they will enroll you for personal trainer and they tell you that you can cancel anytime you want. the catch is, if you want to cancel the personal training you need to send a letter to their PO BOX number. by the time you realize, they will charge you for another month and then you know they did not receive the letter. THIS IS A SCAM .. you have to go to the facility to talk to them and most of the time the manager will not be there, and the employee will take your information and phone number saying that the manager will call. you will never get call from the manager. after several trips to the facility they will finally cancel.

This la fitness in Denton Texas was the most terrible gym I’ve ever been to. The Jacuzzi was dark in liquid and a bad smell in the entire facility. Trash everywhere. What organizations overlook at these gyms?

I'm leaving LA Fitness. The location nearest me is the junction location in West Seattle. For the past several months they have had a major problem with the music system, and they do not seem able or willing to fix it. The problem: the music is constantly tuned to two (2) sources, playing simultaneously, each at equal volume. Imagine sitting between two speakers, each playing completely different, but equally aggressive music. That is my experience at LA Fitness. I have talked to the manager about it several times. He's aware of the problem, and apparently many people have complained about this. But he says they can't turn it off, as the company that runs LA Fitness insists on music. But the sound is INSANE. I cannot bear to be in the room with this psychotic blend of music going: it feels like my brain is literally being torn in half. I don't have headphones or earbuds, nor should I be required to wear them in order to be able to have a good workout. After months of complaining and months of 'We're looking into it' I'm out.

As long as I'm ripping them a new one I'll add this. When my husband and I joined several years ago, the sales person promised us the moon. They said we could go to *any* LA Fitness, and that we would have unlimited guest passes. Neither of these turned out to be true - we can only go to the LA Fitness locations in Washington State. We didn't find this out until we tried to access other locations when we were on vacation. When my husband brought this to the attention of the manager at the time, his response was 'Well he was wrong and he doesn't work here any more.' That gave us major pause, but figured the club was decent enough, and we could pay to go to clubs outside of Washington state when necessary. But now that this location is now impossible for me to work out in, I'm out. We're both out.

The basketball court is great! Play there almost everyday. No Problems!

Convinced they hire the meanest managers you could possibly find. If the manager is mean and has an attitude you can just imagine their employees... everyday you go in they don't care about you and bi-weekly we get a message on the app to "rate our club".. the way their demeaner changes and EVERYTIME they beg for a good review because it gives them a bonus (even though some of the machines are broken, bathrooms are not clean, and the attitude..) and when you do it they're looking at your phone to see what you put. Twice now they took my phone and did the review for me because I keep saying "I don't see it." This is the Gaithersburg LA fitness on clopper rd.
Only reason I am at this gym is because I moved and this is the closest to my house. If you are in the Germantown MD area I highly recommend Anytime Fitness on leman farm rd. the owner is always there, ALWAYS cleaning and overall just a positive environment. I plan on going back to anytime at the end of the year

We go to the gym located in Huntingdon Valley, PA. It has to be the most unsanitary gym in the country. They have been understaffed for years, even prior to COVID. If you see anybody cleaning, it's a miracle. Even after they clean, it's still filthy. The management could care less. No matter how many times you speak with them, nothing happens. Total lip service. The locker rooms are pathetic. Some of the lockers are loaded with garbage for months. They never get cleaned. The floors of the gym and locker rooms are always disgusting. I wish the PA Dept of Health would pay them a visit!

I went to the Warden and Eglington location. Before covid the staff were fun and friendly. Other than the girls at the desk the assistant manager or who ever she is, is a piece of sh.. She is rude. I asked her why the pool is always down and other clubs don't have problems. She wouldn't look at me at said well, this isn't other places. I quit. The power wash the showers while you're swimming which is so annoying. I think they just hire anyone. Apparently she's the assistant manager. She's the black employee there. I guess they get desperate on who they hire. No customer service skills what so ever. I miss the old staff 😪 date of incident is not accurate. Head office are useless. One guy at the head office made fun of me when I told him what happened. He wouldn't put me through to a manager either

LA Fitness personnel trainner contract is a scam, since I started in the first few weeks they have changed five different trainers and on top of that those trainers work not show up on time so r they would leave early, and some days they didn’t show up and every time they say they would fix it and they never did so I ask to cancel my contract and the person that works in La sent an email but they kept taking money from my credit card called corporate and spoke to David song and he said that he refused to cancel the contract, I threatened to go to court but they seemed not worried
Now not only I am going to take them to court but I am going to expose them in the Media too

LA Fitness Personal Training is a bait and switch. Prior to signing I was promised that there would be a trainer in the early am for my convenience- that is not true. The sessions are only 20 mins and not worth the money!!!!!!

Rip the machines
Weights kept behind the counter that cannot be used by customers
All of the stair masters are broken
90% of the treadmill’s are broken
The men’s bathroom smells of urine, and appears to not have been mopped in weeks or is being minimally done

In addition, there was an incident over the weekend, where the pin of the machine did not stay fixed in the arm of the cable machine struck me in the face. An incident report was completed. Im told by the operations manager " you can complain but no one cares." Im told by the Gm of Sales "the Richmond Avenue location has the worst rating for cleanliness and club condition with a rating of F and 44%."

Im not for metering things, but this company really need to meter the amount of clothes their customers are buying or have much on hand, i pay for a membership here and cant ever get a good time to buy the merch i want, all the mediums and larges (size i do wear) is always sold out, with this much clietale you would think you would keep a lot more merch on deck, the disturbing part is i have sent many emails as you guys have it plastered the email to contact, ive did this for 2 consecutive weeks with no response at all, no call not email nothing, honestly i should just cancel the membership due to this disaster, here i am trying to give you guys more money and you dont have the decency to give me an email back to discple when youll get shipment in or anything of that nature, but when it comes to the membership you'll quickly respond, this is not professional at all, either im being ignored or you guys are just not as business savvy as you are promoting yourselves to be. In fact im so turned off by this i dont want to give you guys anymore of my business. I will be reviewing this on
google review and every other site i can go on. thank you for reading.

they must be instructed not to admit that their equipment does not work when i call and ask they lie and say its working.

I use the LA Fitness in Fishers, IN. I find the front desk staff to be very helpful and the manager is alway very attentive to members and tries to help them out.

My review is for LA Fitness at 19409 W BELLFORT ST. I had been going for almost a year and watched this decline very quickly.
First of all I noticed the cleanliness was getting really bad from trash in the steam room to hair in every shower all around the drain and on the walls. Empty shampoo and conditioner bottles to empty water bottles. The place is a mess. People come into the spa and sit in the sauna and steam room fully clothed with outdoor shoes on. Not sanitary at all. Multiple times I had to tell the staff about the mess in the women's changing room, but they didn't seem to care. When you actually walk into the gym you rarely got a "hello" or "Good Morning" and when you did it felt like it was disingenuous.
What finally did it for me was that one day after a spa I went for shower, there was thick black hair in every shower and even a tooth. I stopped using the spa and thought maybe I would just use the treadmills instead.
The treadmills are filthy and the floors around them are unkept. Even when I pointed this out to the manager, he said he knew they were dusty, however as I pointed out it wasn't just the dust it was the sweat stains and trash also on them. I would spend a good 10-15 mins cleaning my treadmill before I could even start. I would watch people come and go beside be person after person running and sweating and nobody wiping down their machine.
I spoke to the Manager about my concerns and although he was very nice he also seemed disingenuous, and nothing changed. I started to dread coming to the gym, it made me lose the passion for working out, so in the end I cancelled my membership.
My husband brought me a Bowflex 22 treadmill, and we are working on making one of our spare rooms into a gym. Very Happy!!

I have been a member of the La Fitness in the St Lucie West Branch since 2017.Throughout these years, my experience has been extremely positive. I have found the atmosphere to be warm and welcoming whether it is the staff or the patrons. Especially the New Manager, Mr. G", as well as my Master Trainer Kai. who is wonderful young man who helps you realized all your untapped potentials. I enjoy my weekly workout sessions. Go Kai!!!

Was pressured into getting personal trainer was never introduced to them nor could I find them when i showed up. Had a Dr note. That stated for me not to use personal trainer. was treated badly for cancelling decided to go to a different gym la fitness was evasive and manipulative poor customer service claiming the person was not there after making appointment the day before i would not wish anyone else to have to experience this poor and uncaring treatment

A quick online search of La Fitness reviews will reveal a bunch of 1-star ratings due to their incredibly hard membership cancellation process. I experienced this first-hand when I moved to a state without any La Fitness locations and tried to cancel my membership. 😫🏠 The customer service rep told me I had to physically drive across the country to their location to cancel! 🚗💨 After many more charges on my account, I begged for more options, but they still only offered the option to mail in a cancellation form. 📫📝 Why does La Fitness make it so hard for people to cancel? No email, no phone call, no website option - just snail mail. It's ridiculous! 😤 Spread the word and let's hope they improve their cancellation process. 👍🤞

I have been going to the Naple, Fl gym for a couplevl of months. Heres what i have found. The place is looks good on the outside but is a dump on the inside. The cardio machines are dirty and RUSTING out. There is paper or wipes on the floor through out the gym. The basketball courts are trashed daily. The locker and shower areas smell. The sauna room is disgusting and would be shut down by any municipal board of health. You can complain but nothing gets done. Corporate management doesnt care. Word of advice if you go.Bring you own disinfectant.

The sauna,bath,steam room and the pool have been out of service for a month. Granted this is a signature club which members pay higher price to use this facility. There is no set date for these to be fixed so this club and the company is stealing from the members by not providing the advertised amenities while the members are still paying full price. LA not-so-Fitmess signature club in Niles IL.

This gym is by far the worse company I’ve ever dealt with. They treat their members AND staff with disrespect. I would advice everyone in this area thinking of joining a gym to join crunch. It’s not much better, but it is cheaper and the staff is respectful.

BTW if you are a member and are having a hard time canceling this membership…. Here’s a hack. Go into the app, change your payment to a credit card that is closed or a gift card without a balance and when they go to charge you, since the card won’t go through, you’ll immediately get a cancellation. If you decide to cancel at the gym, you’ll be told a manager has to be there, and in this area the managers are either not there, busy, or just lazy and won’t do it for you. If you call them or email them, they will take an eternity to reply and when they do, they will make you mail a form in order to cancel. The way I just told you, it happens immediately and without the headache of dealing with them. This company is horrible. The only reason they are in business is because there are only 2 choices of gyms here in the Orlando area. ESPORTA/LA FITNESS is definitely the worse of the two. Hope this helped anyone trying to cancel this place.
