Had a great experience booking with Lakelovers. Tree Tops has a fantastic location, just minutes from the centre of Bowness and the waters edge of Windermere. Lakelovers addressed one very minor issue almost immediately - someone came to the property about 30 minutes after I called them. Thoroughly recommend the accommodation and Lakelovers.

Greystones cottage was really great. The cottage is in a beautiful location and was exceptionally well equipped. Walking in the Woods is just across the road and great for humans and dogs alike. And Lakelovers did their bit too no problems or hassle of any sort.

Do Not Book with LakeLovers if you want your right to privacy during your stay respected. Absolutely dreadful experience with Lakelovers. Booked a one week stay with them. £1000 price tag for the week - Cottage was in a state of disrepair with multiple key things not working, including heating. Lakelovers staff entered the cottage THREE TIMES during our stay, without our prior permission nor us being present. When we called to complain, staff were argumentative - claiming that this was reasonable practice and that our rights had not been breached.

I have booked twice with Lakelovers and had a wonderful experience. Both cottages we stayed in were beautiful and the service was second to none. We will be booking again for next year.

I stayed at a holiday home in Lake Windermere in March and whilst the website advertised a beautiful swimming pool I was not informed that the pool was out of use for over half the week. I chose that holiday home for the swimming pool so this was not value for money and when I complained twice I was advised there would be no compensation. Unimpressed, poor value for money and poor subsequent correspondence. Will be going elsewhere in future!

Fantastic customer service from first phone call to arrange booking to during our stay, very professional, friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I highly recommend Lake Lovers.

March 2018. We had never booked with Lakelovers before and after such an excellent holiday will be having further holidays with them this year.
We found the customer service was very good and staff were helpful.
Our first holiday in March 2018 was at Muirhead, Applethwaite Hall, we liked it so much we are going back later this year, but not before a summer trip with family to another Lakelovers cottage.

We met the new housekeeper for Applethwaite on our departure, what a lovely lady, we wish her well in her new role and thank all Staff for their help.

I booked a cottage with Lake Lovers back in September 2017 because their beautiful website lead me to believe they were a professional outfit. Do not be fooled! When I was searching the website was not filtering dog friendly properties properly so before went any further I called to check if the property I had chosen was dog friendly. I was reassured it was without any hesitation so went on to confirm the booking. When my email confirmation there was still no mention of the dog, so I called again and was reassured again a note had been put on the system and that dogs were allowed. 4 months passed, and I called the office to confirm the date of the final payment and mentioned again about the dog not being on any of tmy paperwork. The man on the phone said he would check and come back to me. I heard nothing so called again and this time I was informed that dogs were not actually allowed and that it had been an error on their website all along!!! I was totally shocked, annoyance and disappointment. I informed them of this website glitch back in September, it was now 31st Jan. They have no idea what they are doing and are completely unprofessional. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy. Stay well away if you value your holidays!

UPDATE
I was pleased to receive a phone call from a very nice gentleman called Steve at Lakelovers who was sincerely apologetic. He understood my frustrations and reassured me the issues would be investigated and dealt with internally. As a goodwill gestures he also provided me a £50 off voucher which was appreciated.

Lakelovers is a fabulous simple way to book one of their rentals. Our group stayed at Fell View Keswick. Fantastic place to stay. This property had everythi g you need for a very relaxing, comfortable break. 5 star rating. Our group is very excited to return to Fell View in the near future. Thank you Lakelovers for a fabulous service.

Lakelovers had the best prices ,compared to all the cottage companies I looked at .We had a much needed break over Christmas , in Old Oak Cottage, we loved this old, quirky, unique, cosy ,family owned cottage. We really switched off , had an wonderful log fire every night , slept the best nights sleep in ages .We would love to visit again , it was the best place in Ambleside we have stayed & we have had a few Christmas weeks in Ambleside, which has everything you need & more

Lakelovers is a fantastic professional organisation with love for the Lake District at its heart. A truly friendly team of staff who will go the extra mile to ensure you are well looked after and have a holiday to remember. The owners of these wonderful cottages can rest easy knowing the lakelovers team will do their very best to ensure their cottages are well represented.

Have just returned from a weeks holiday at no 2 Weir Cottage chapel stile.
Cottage was very nice & comfortable, with all what you needed for your required stay.
The area was quiet which we wanted, there were two pubs both a short stroll from the cottage the Wainwrights, very dog friendly which we used and plenty of room also the Britannia both were nice but a little less space in the Brittannia.The local shop another very short stroll stocked everything you could want, so no need to be stuck in the car venturing off to stock up. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay lovely cottage, beautiful area.

WE HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM OUR WONDERFUL HOLIDAY IN WINDERMERE. WE BOOKED THROUGH LAKELOVERS WHO WERE AMAZING , NOTHING WAS TOO MUCH TROUBLE, EVERY DAY WE RECEIVED A TEXT FROM THEM ASKING IF EVERYTHING WAS OK, MY DAUGHTER WHO LEFT BEFORE US TO RETURN HOME WENT WITH THE COTTAGE KEYS AND STAFF WERE REALLY UNDERSTANDING AND HELPFUL THANK YOU TO ALL AT LAKE LOVERS , HERE'S TO OUR NEXT HOLIDAY WITH YOU MR & MRS BROMILOW

Awful customer service - would not use again.
When we arrived at our property there was no hot water due to an electrical fault. On top of this, the aga was not working and neither was the woodburning stove. While an electrician did come out the following day to fix the hot water problem, this subsequently led to dangerous overheating of the circuit board and yet another visit by the electrician.
Given our party included young children and pensioners, the attitude and care given to addressing these significant problems fell well below expectations and several issues (aga, woodburner) were not addressed at all during our stay. As a regular visitor to the lakes, I have never stayed in such a poorly maintained property. Altogether, very disappointing and unprofessional.

This is was our 5th holiday through Lakelovers and our 3rd stay at Sheiling Barn. We love the house and it's seriously becoming a home from home! I have my own holiday let house in Hampshire so really appreciate all the care and attention to detail put in by the owners as know first hand how much effort it takes.

We've booked with Lakelovers twice; on both occasions the booking process was fine and the cottages were great.

However, although Lakelover's base prices are at a premium, their insistence of charging extra for minor things (which have always been included in other cottages we've rented) does leave a sour taste. For example, charging an extra £12 on a £1000 booking for use of a high chair or cot in a family cottage is unusual and tightfisted.

Used Lakelovers a few times over the last few years ,just returned from another break in a fantastic property in Bowness always been happy with their properties and will use again

I contacted Laklovers in April, with respect to a specific property in Windermere, for an October booking. I needed access information relating to the property, as I would be travelling with an elderly person who has limited mobility. I asked about the steps to the property and the steps inside. However, it was difficult to gain an accurate insight. I was told that it would be OK. I therefore, booked the property, as required. Just prior to going away, I contacted Lakelovers again to ask several questions including, the issues around access. I was again informed, after some hesitation that it was ok. However, upon arrival, guess what? The steps within the property were too deep for the person to manage with ease,as there is nothing to hold onto!!! This has caused a lot of struggle and disappointment. I have attempted to get some resolution but, not very satisfactorily. This need not have been an issue if, I had been given better information at the time of booking. I have suggested, that in the information about the property, that it states it is not suitable for any one with mobility issues as there is nothing to hold onto to get up the steps,to the bedroom or the bathroom. I would not use this company again. It has made a holiday into a very challenging experience for all concerned.

We have just returned from a holiday in a lodge just out side Hawkshead a medieval village, in the Lake District.The accomadation was absolutely amazing,packed full of many extras. The views were breathtaking, on the days the weather turned bad we stayed in and had we had our own cinema,library,games room,bar and restaurant all within the lodge ha,ha,ha and we didn't spend a penny. The lodge was spotless,well maintained and luxurious,we would highly recommend THIE LOGNEY TO ANYONE

We have just returned from another enjoyable and restful holiday staying in a cottage through Lakelovers. We have for a few years now always used this company and have never been disappointed. We have stayed in different areas and different properties sometimes revisiting our favourites. All properties in our experience have been clean, well equipped and comfortable . Looking forward to our next holiday
