I was really impressed with our adviser and the support they gave me, and it would have been a solid 5*, except for the fact that the solicitors their company suggested I used are so bad.

Kira o hara had led us step by step with great patience and intelligence. Customer service excellent ...dont go any further than these guys!

Initially, our mortgage broker was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and gave us confidence in the early stages of our house purchase. Unfortunately, as the process progressed, communication became slow and inconsistent. We often had to chase for updates and felt unsupported during key stages of the transaction. Instead of reducing stress, the lack of timely responses and accurate guidance made an already challenging house purchase far more stressful than it needed to be. Disappointing given the strong first impression and previous positive work with L&C.

All started well but went down hill... After a lengthy conversation with the mortgage advisor, we were set on a 5yr fixed deal which we confirmed that we wanted to go ahead with just because things were happening in the world, and the mortgage rates were about to go up because of the USA/Iran stuff. When we spoke to him the next day we found it he put us on a 2yr fix - absolute joke. We also just wanted to pay the £995 fee for the mortgage provider setup fee upfront, but he added it to the mortgage.... Will probably just pay for a mortgage advisor next time and we might actually get what we discussed.

Staff are so helpful & friendly. They really make a complicated process much easier to understand & take a lot of the stress out of it. They helped me save money on my remortgage too!

Wish I found L&C years ago.

Very quick and friendly service with no fee. We had done 2 previous mortgage and remortgage where our broker at the time had changed us £500 each time and we thought he was getting us a better rate. Turns out they weren't and L&C got us the same rate with zero fee. Wish we had used them previously and kept our 1k for the family instead.

Nearly lost a house when I applied for a mortgage through them. First time opening a mortgage, and I had high hopes for my mortgage advisor. I had invested around £1000 on the property through conveyancing and property valuation, sent dozens of documents to my case manager, who I would assume didn't request my documents properly, as the first time I was declined a mortgage was because she didn't ask me to submit my recent tax year income that showed better income, this didnt take long to mend the issue and continue my application, this process took long as they wanted physical documents aswell. Now I don't know what the advisors problem was, but he seemed tired when talking to me, and I felt like I was treated like a figure, and this wasnt the worst part, I had faith that as an advisor if an application got rejected he would work towards finding me a different lender, but NO, soon as the application got rejected from the lender due to me having a complicated case of low credit score as I would assume, Rodrigo sends me an email saying I got rejected, he didnt figure out why and told me to call them and find out myself, but he also shut down my case completely without any attempt of finding another lender and ignored my enquiries after, I was treated with poor service and a lost cause, I understand that my low credit can be a complicated case but I would have never expected this kind of treatement and lack of support from this company, I am VERY dissapointed with their services. Now, fortunately, Haysto Mortgages pulled through for me, and I found a lender, so I would highly recommend them as an alternative. As L&C clearly demonstrated to me that they can't handle complicated cases, I would highly recommend Haysto even though you need to pay them for the work; they spoke to me and took my case within minutes of my application and got me a lender in under 2 weeks, and only charged once I got my mortgage offer. Speaking from experience, I will never recommend L&C to anyone and would highly advise seeking different mortgage companies.

Fantastic. We were first time buyers and L&C made it so easy for us. Explained everything throughout, every question answered quickly and even shopped for cheaper offer right up to the last minute.
