When I discovered that I had a problem with my taxes, I began searching for a lawyer. Unfortunately, all the lawyers I spoke to not only failed to provide any guarantee of the outcome but also had a negative outlook. Based on their responses, I was uncertain about proceeding with an appeal, as it seemed like a time and money sink. Then, a friend recommended Larson Tax Relief.
From our very first call, Steve Cizik exhibited a positive attitude and explained the appeal process thoroughly. I regained my confidence to continue fighting through an appeal. As soon as I provided him with all the necessary documents, Steve took charge of the case. He consistently followed up with me and was always prompt in responding to my emails.
I'm grateful to Steve and his team for their assistance with my case. I appreciate their persistence and the excellent communication they maintained throughout the entire process. I wholeheartedly recommend his services. While I hope to avoid any further tax problems, I wouldn't hesitate to reach out again if the need arises

First of all, I was so very nervous. They put my mind at ease. Very easy to work with. And keep me informed of every step along the way. And ultimately saved me thousands of dollars I can’t recommend them enough.thank you from the bottom of my bank account.

Medical issues, the Pandemic, our bookkeeper moving out of the country, and lost paper records all combined to create a roughly $20K payroll tax debt to the State. I mistakenly believed that Larson Tax Relief would roll up its sleeves and help find or recreate the missing records in Quickbooks so they could be submitted to the State. Boy, was I wrong. Instead, I received a letter identifying the missing documents, duplicating the list already provided by the State, BUT I did receive periodic calls from Larson hectoring me to file the lost documents. They offered NO help in guiding me through the QB program. No, that's not entirely true; they gave me a cheat sheet for some QB reports, which did not work with my QB 2021 Pro Desktop software. They did talk to the State and reached proposed settlement terms, which did not reduce the total tax debt. However, Larson did not close the deal. They left that to me. When I eventually spoke with the DOR at State, those folks were polite and helped me complete the settlement agreement. I should have worked with the State on my own from the start.

Larson was largely ineffective in resolving this problem. But the crowning insult was that my file was dropped without closure, follow-up, or resolution.

This experience was a complete waste of time and money.

P.S. After Larson's response.

My timeline of events doesn't match up with the one Larson provided.

I was initially told that Oregon DOR did not support 3rd party intervention. When I asked what value Larson could provide, I was told they could negotiate with the DOR if I provided a POA. They sent me docs that clearly said "POA, " which I signed. And I foolishly gave them an ACH for their fee.

What I received in return was as I described above. At no time did they help me recover any records from the DOR or my PC.

Also, Larson never offered to withdraw from my case and to return my ACH funds. Neither ever happened.

In a subsequent conversation with the DOR, I learned that the reason for my $20k tax debt was that I'd had a major increase in revenue in 2020. The year of the Pandemic. This was completely wrong. 2020 was one of the worst years of our business. Business was Down, not Up.

I next searched for a local bookkeeper with Payroll and Quickbooks expertise. A few blocks from our door, I found Dragonfly Tax LLC, a single proprietor bookkeeping service. She did not need access to my PC or QB records. Relied entirely on DOR records.

Within 2 days, she found a mathematical error in our Withholding reconciliation for 2020 and submitted a corrected form.

The DOR accepted the correction and is processing a refund on our account.

Perhaps Larson would have found this error if they had used the POA I provided to review the documents previously filed with the DOR.

Oh, and for the record, Larson has still not offered me any refund.

I have worked with Steve Cizik and Sarah Needler for quite awhile now. The amount of detail, but also the communication in a tax issue time when your stressed out. They are all over it. I cannot recommend them enough, 5 stars doesnt do them justice.
