I have to say, on a positive note, that all of the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable throughout my visit.
On a less positive note, if you are planning to sell or part-exchange your equipment, it is worth doing some research beforehand. I decided to trade in all of my existing kit — a Canon 70D DSLR along with multiple lenses — as I wanted to move to something more compact and lightweight to carry around. As I was also purchasing my new camera from the store, I had assumed I may have received a slightly better price for my equipment as part of the exchange.
At the time, I felt the offer I received was reasonable. I was advised that my Canon 70D had a minor issue with the mode selector, along with some rust around the flash mount, and that it would likely need to be sent away for attention. Because of this, I received very little for the body itself — around £65, if I remember correctly — which seemed fair enough given the explanation.
However, a few days later, I happened to look at the store’s used equipment listings online and was disappointed to see the significant mark-up on the items I had traded in, particularly the 70D. The camera body, paired with one of the kit lenses I had included, was listed for £329. Looking at the pricing of the remaining lenses as well, it appears the store could potentially make over £700 profit from the equipment overall.
I appreciate that part of what you pay for is the convenience and speed of trading items in rather than selling privately yourself. That said, having since looked into current market prices, I do feel I could realistically have made an additional £350–£400 by selling the equipment independently.
Just something worth being aware of if you are considering selling or trading in your gear.

Got advice for a new lens for a safari trip… it was a game changer on photos from the trip … light weight easier to use than I thought it would be . Pics were amazing bp if I don’t say so myself . Friends and family have been wowed too. Service was quick and easy and it was an immaculate second hand lens so saved some money on a new one too.

Called into the London Camera Exchange and George gave me some great advice about lenses for my Sony camera. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend LCE .

Visited this store on bank holiday Monday. Unfortunately they didn't have what we required in stock, its an older camera. George was fantastic and researched other branches for us, explained the various options to us, rang and arranged home delivery etc. What a fantastic experience and brilliant customer service. The lens arrived as promised and is excellent, as promised.
We will definitely be using them again and would not hesitate to recommend them.

The camera was nearly as described with the small scuffs but the main dial wheel does not work. And delivery was not the best as kept getting delayed by the courier and got it 2 days later than stated

Purchased a used Hahnel speedlight and trigger.

Described as very good, the items did not disappoint, and after getting familiar with the settings, it performed as expected. All functions on and off camera operating satisfactorly.

Delivery by DPD arrived next day.
