Company is liquidating

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Leeds District Roofing based on my experience over the past several years.

Since 2022, I have experienced ongoing issues involving unsuccessful repairs, a full roof replacement that later developed further faults, recurring leaks around both chimneys, slipped and broken tiles, damp and mould issues, and verge work that required additional remedial attention.

Despite repeated attempts to resolve matters directly, communication has now largely stopped. Since reporting renewed leaks in January 2026, I have struggled to obtain updates or arrange further remedial work. The unresolved leaks are now causing internal damage, and I am having to seek independent assessments and consider formal recovery options.

I have also since become aware of publicly available records relating to liquidation proceedings and previous Companies House registrations connected to the business (likely for the purpose of company phoenixing). Anyone searching “Leeds District Roofing Gazette notice” will find the current notice, alongside records of previous companies associated with the business.

Not very satisfied

Not very satisfied. The job took much longer than the estimate, and after they left, I noticed debris and nails still scattered on my driveway. Cleanup definitely needs improvement.

Red Flags!

Unreliable- Didn’t turn up- Reading the ‘genuine’ poor reviews, not sorry. There are currently six reviews on Trustpilot, two 5* reviews are self promoting aka Benjamin Farquharson (Ben) is the main guy /proprietor. Other 5* reviewer is questionable. Their Google reviews/ ranking surprisingly took a huge leap too :>

Cowboy

This roofer won’t apply for building regulations when doing a new roof. It will cost you £400 more when you realise that. Or thousands after 2 years and you come to sell. He made a mess of my new roof as the lead flashing wasn't sealed properly and it continued to leak.
He wouldn’t go & repair it & said there was £2600 worth of other work needed. He is a cowboy.

Great Job

Ben and his team's completed the work on roof , chimneys and bay top to a Great Standard. They answered all my questions. I have had positive feedback from my neighbours . They cleaned everything up on completion. Very pleased wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Thank you Brian Joy
