No return address is mentioned on the site. I contacted them by chatbox. I needed to give a reason for the return "which is the procedure to get a return-address" Then they gave me 3 options to choose out: 2 commercial options and one return option with (partial) refund. I chose this 3th option. Then they told me that the return address would be sent to me within 48h. Never got it. Wanted to recontact them by chatbot. Impossible to log in again. My data are "unknown" ....
Absolutely awful company do not buy…
Absolutely awful company do not buy from them
1. Took weeks to even send dress ordered
2. Sizing completely wrong when it eventually arrived
3. Didn’t want me to return
4. I had to pay for tracked return to USA
5. Will not refund full amount said they will not refund shipping.
Worst company I have ever dealt with Lesson Learnt
AVIOD. Dishonest and misleading
I wish I had read reviews before purchasing.
Despite presenting themselves as a UK-based company, they are not. I specifically chose LeelyUK believing I was buying from a UK retailer. Before purchasing a bridesmaid dress to try on, I asked whether returns would be straightforward and was assured they would be. What they failed to disclose is that returns must be sent to the US or China.
The return shipping costs and potential customs fees are extremely high. They are clearly aware of this, as they quickly offer partial refunds to encourage customers to keep unsuitable items rather than return them. As a result, I am now stuck with a dress I cannot use and have lost £100, as returning it would be far too expensive.
Their returns policy is also misleading. It does not state where items must be returned to, only that the address will be provided after requesting a return. This lack of transparency is unacceptable.
Customer service has been very poor. Responses feel automated and dismissive. When I asked about return costs, I received a rude reply telling me to “go to the post office” to find out myself. Complaints are largely ignored.
I would strongly advise others to be cautious before purchasing.
6 weeks to arrive
Waited 6 weeks for two dresses to arrive for a wedding, 1 was faulty the other bad sizing. Would never use again
Awful experience
Really long delivery times, dresses are poor quality and the sizing is completely off plus their refund policy is ridiculous. Don’t order from here!
DO NOT ORDER from this company
DO NOT ORDER from this company. I ordered a size 14 trouser suit. They sent a size 10. When I queried this with them, they said “their internal size 1O” is a UK size 14. It isn’t. The order clearly shows size 14. Size 10 is on the label of the garment. I have measured it. The waist is 30 inches. There is no viable offer to return, exchange or re credit your account. I paid £122 for a garment that I have no use for. It’s a scam
Ordered a wedding dress at 98 pound
Ordered a wedding dress at 98 pound. Waited a month for it to arrive..what I got was nothing like the dress advertised. Now like many others I've been told to return it , I have to send back to overseas and complex procedure . I refuse to pay anymore outlay for this dress. I'm stuck with something that is not advertised and I want a full refund I will be taking this further
Please DO NOT ORDER
Please DO NOT ORDER. they are SCAMMERS. They pose as a UK company but they ship from China. I ordered a dress in February, I cancelled the order within 5 days and they told me they will only refund the shipping costs, meaning that they would keep £80 just like that! They will steal your money and tell you it's the policy. I started a dispute which they declined.. I'm not willing to give them my money.. my only fault was I wasn't very careful this time as I didn't check other customers' reviews..
Brilliant dresses at great prices!
After reading so many bad reviews i was sceptical to order from here, but i found my perfect dress and thought I'd take the risk and I'm so glad i did!
It took a month to come which i thought was decent considering I knew shipping was from China and they're made to order.
The dress is of a good quality and is very beautiful. It has a bit of a smell to it, but nothing a good hang on the line won't sort, and I'm assuming that's due to packaging and nothing else, as it was made and then immediately air posted to me.
I was kept in the loop as to how long it would take and I could track once the parcel was posted so all in all I've had a great experience.
Thank you! 😊
If I could give a zero I would
If I could give a zero I would. Ordered a dress £93 and it took 2 weeks to arrive. Then went I sent it back it has to be returned to America! It cost me £36 to return. The company said I can keep it and get £23 refunded but the dress was tiny round the waist. It’s not obvious that it’s an overseas expensive return service. It came up on uk google so I never imagined it would cost so much to return. Thank gif I didn’t order more dresses. Don’t use this company
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
bought 2 dresses, promised would be here within 2 weeks. Arrived 3 weeks later, sent back dresses. Refused my refund!
Very disappointed
I ordered this dress only because it came up on google search under UK. I received the dress, but unfortunately I can’t zip it up over my ribs, therefore I contacted the company to find out how I could return it. I spent around £100 on the dress and was told I could keep it and they would refund me £21, or I could send it back but it was only insured for $15-20, and I have to pay postage. The company is apparently based in Texas, so all I want to say is be very wary of ordering in case you need to make a return and don’t always assume they are a local company.
Do not use this company they are…
Do not use this company they are scammers and will rip you off.
Leely is a pure rip off
Leely is a pure rip off. Firstly, what I received was not what I ordered. The material was very cheap and a different color with different buttons than what I ordered. Secondly, the customer service gave me a huge run around for a refund. I had to wait to receive a return label. Told I had seven days to return the item. The address for return was incorrect. I had to pay for the return. Take pictures of the return in the original package. Take pictures of the label and receipt. Lastly, I was charged $42 for a restocking fee. Do not order from these people.
Awful
Awful service, company refuse to refund and expect me to pay to return item to USA. The postage is almost half the price of the dress! SCAM WEBSITE CLOTHES DO NOT LOOK AS PICTURED! AVOID ⚠️
Misleading UK storefront and costly return process
I ordered two items from Leely through their UK website (leely.co.uk), which is priced in GBP and appears to target UK customers. At no point during checkout or in the UK returns policy was it clearly stated that items must be returned to the United States at the customer’s expense.
Delivery took over a month, which meant the items arrived after the event I had purchased them for. By the time the package arrived, the return window was already extremely tight. Their policy allows only 7 days, which leaves very little time to inspect the items and arrange an international return.
Customer support also requires you to contact them first before providing the return address. Only after contacting them was I told that returns must be shipped to a warehouse in Texas, USA. This is a significant cost that was not clearly disclosed when ordering from a UK domain.
The return process itself is complicated and puts all the burden on the customer. You must ship internationally with tracking, send photos of the parcel, provide the receipt, and provide the tracking number before they will process anything.
In my case the financial outcome was extremely disappointing. I spent about £200 on the order. After returning the items I was refunded only around £150. On top of that I had to pay approximately £35 in international return shipping to the US.
The result is that I am roughly £85 out of pocket despite returning the goods.
The overall experience felt misleading:
• UK website and GBP pricing
• No clear disclosure that returns must go to the United States
• Very slow delivery (over a month)
• Extremely short return window
• Expensive international returns borne by the customer
Based on this experience I would strongly advise UK buyers to think carefully before ordering.
Nothing like what is shown or described on the web site
I wish so much I had not purchased a dress from here. My daughter fell in love with a prom dress which I paid over £100 for. When it arrived was badly constructed, poorly finished and visibly rough at the seams. It was strapless but the bodice was just net with no structure so it wouldn’t even stay up when she put it on. The colour was not gold as stated on the web site but peach, it’s just nothing like advertised. I’d happily share photos if I could upload them.
When I requested a refund, and after lots of nagging emails trying to get the returns address out of them I was told I would need to pay to ship the item to a returns address in Texas USA. With all of the shipping taxes I’m being quoted around £80 to return the dress with no grantee they are going to give me my money back so I may end up even more out of pocket, I’m reluctant to throw any more money at it.
My daughter is is heartbroken, she now doesn’t have a dress, we are over £120 down and have to spend £80 plus to post it back to Texas which I’m reluctant to do as the address doesn’t seem genuine to me. We just can’t afford to throw money away like this. I’m so upset that this company can be allowed to trade as Leely UK and with a UK web address when they ship from China and you return to America with all the code involved it’s miss selling and miss leading.

Danger to your wallet
Update 3: I have made a formal complaint through the Texas' Office of the Attorney General. If anyone is interested, the file number is TCP-033438.
Update 2: I returned the item to Texas at my own expense (about £25). The dress itself cost £86 and the original shipping was £15, bringing my total spend to £127. They refunded only the £86 for the dress. In their email, they explicitly said they would make an exception and also refund the original £15 shipping charge. They later refused to honour that commitment. So after doing exactly what they instructed, I’m still out £41. Bottom line: This company does not honour what it puts in writing. Based on my experience, I would never do business with them again.
Update 1: In response to their response, below, I today mailed the dress to the Texas address via Royal Mail and sent copies of the label to them. Throwing good money after bad? Hopefully not. Will update again when I receive the refund.
I paid over £100 for a dress from LeelyUK. What arrived was badly constructed, poorly finished and visibly rough at the seams. The fit was completely off. This was nowhere near the quality suggested in their photos (or prices!)
When I requested a refund, I was told I would need to pay to ship the item to a returns address in Texas. For a company branding itself as “UK” with a .co.uk domain, that raises serious questions. The business appears to operate from China, yet returns go to the United States, and customers are left absorbing the cost and complexity of that system.
I was offered partial credit first on the same dress in a different size and then a larger credit on something else in the store, and I declined, as I don’t need a second poorly made dress - I need my money back.
The returns structure feels intentionally difficult. High return shipping costs discourage customers from pursuing refunds, and for an £100 purchase, that matters. This is why I'm working with my bank on a chargeback.
The photography is polished but the product did not match the promise, and once they have your money, good luck getting it back. Buyers should look closely at the returns policy before purchasing and decide whether they are comfortable taking that high risk. For me, I simply can’t afford to buy from scam companies that operate like this.
I will be reporting them for their trading standards and unfair practices. (update: or the Texas BBB since it's a texan company, this makes better sense)

If I could give a zero here I would
If I could give a zero here, I would. I will start by saying the issue is not the dress. It was something like £80, which I never expected to be made of silk. The design and manufacturer was fairly robust. The issue comes when you find it doesn’t fit and you need to send it back - and we had to send back two. At this point it turns out there is no UK workshop or facilities and I was required to send it back to the US. This has incurred over £30 worth of postage. Furthermore, they are saying they will not refund the dress and shipping costs in full, despite this being a statutory requirement in the UK, and will be applying a restocking fee of 30% for two dresses. I had to squeeze them hard to even get a return address. I think all of us writing reviews here should report them to trading standards.
Please note, further to Leely’s message below, I had been in extensive contact with their customer service people prior to writing this review and they have been most unhelpful. The brand infringes upon UK consumer rights in the way it operates and it lacks transparency around its returns policy. This idea that you have a US warehouse so that you’re fair to all completely ignores the fact that different countries have entirely different laws, as well as different costs sending to the United States.
Leely - you SUCK. But fear not. I’m telling every single teenage girl I know. And that’s a lot of of them, and they have big mouths

Stunning dress
Stunning dress, but unfortunately did not fit. Therefore, it was returned and I was refunded in full.
Excellent customer service, by email communication. I was offered a partial (3/4) refund and keep the dress or to choose an alternative but I opted for full refund on its return/inspection. Although it cost me £30 tracked postage from the UK to the US, this gave me peace of mind that it would arrive safely.(About 14 days).
I have no hesitation in purchasing again from this company.
