This is a summarised event log as it’s been ongoing for 6 months.

Ordered a 2023 Orbea Wild M10 in November with a February due date, bike was delayed but no explanation given which was frustrating and then when the bike did turn up on 23/03/23 it was in the worst condition I’ve ever seen a new bike…paint chips, scratches, imperfections, loose bolts and cables routed so badly they could have strangled a small child.
The bike was returned and Leisure Lake bikes and they said they’d sent me a new bike mid April…new bike turns up mid April in a similar if not worse state full of imperfections on an 8k+ bike. A warranty claim was then started on the original frame in mid April and I was advised it would take 3 weeks. 3 weeks later I emailed and called in only to find my claim hadn’t been submitted properly and it would now take another 3 weeks as someone can’t do their job.
I raised my issues clearly and numerous times via email to multiple people yet nothing was ever done to resolve the issues and the incompetence just continued. I constantly had to chase and not once was this shop proactive, at best they were reactive.

Hands down the worst buying experience I’ve ever had and even when dealing with the “workshop manager” Will it never got any better in fact if anything it got worse. Ultimately ended with me complaining to company director Chris and getting a full refund as a very disappointed customer.

Absolutely do NOT recommend.

The bike was fully prepared and ready to collect, no waiting. The staff were friendly and helpful. This is the second bike I’ve bought from them and would go back them agsin

Ordered a mtb long sleeved jersey, when it turned up it had 3 pulls in the material of which 2 looked liked from a security tag! Not exactly impressed as I then have to go out my way to send the item back and be temporarily out of pocket until I get my refund! And hopefully there’s not a problem with the newly sent jersey, when it arrives!! Admittedly the member of staff I’ve been in correspondence with has been very apologetic but for me it’s an act too little too late! I won’t be ordering from leisure lakes again

fFriendly helpfull staff and value for money

I bought 2 Orbea laufey 24” mountain bikes for Xmas, one of them had a bent gear hanger on arrival (luckily I had a spare) but more seriously the allen bolts holding the handlebars onto the stem / forks had not been tightened sufficiently so it was relatively easy to turn the bars independently of the front wheel. Easy problem to solve but could have caused a nasty crash if I hadn’t spotted it. Don’t rely on the mechanic!
