AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
Purchased a small laptop (IdeaPad 1 14 - with windows 11) for Xmas 2024 and this thing has been useless since receipt. Slow, clunky and ridiculously poorly constructed. Keys started going wrong within about 2 weeks and pad either too responsive or non-responsive. I work with Tech every day and this has to be the worst purchase I have ever made. Furthermore when attempting to make a formal complaint about this after 10 months of use I get some non-sensical drivel about RAM speed and storage. If the RAM can't cope with basic OS then it shouldn't be sold in this spec - Full Stop! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! DREADFUL! AVOID!
Returns process is horrendous
Returns process is horrendous. Absolutely zero communication, which is completely unacceptable when talking about a £1000 refund. And then chat box is just an AI that tells you nothing whatsoever. Unsurprisingly, the only way to speak to an actual person is to say that you're interested in a potential sale, and then they rudely and immediately hang up on you the moment you say you're asking about a return. Completely unprofessional joke of a company. Might end up having to do a charge-back as the only way to get a proper refund. Their lack of customer service makes them feel like a borderline scam company.
No option for 0 points so hence the one…
No option for 0 points so hence the one star. Why didn't I learn my lesson.🤬 Daughter's first tablet packed up after just over 1 1/2years . So replaced ,only for her second one to pack up just over 2 years. Company has no care for its products or it's reputation. Furthermore has zero care about there customers. Never again
Extremely bad experience with Lenovo
Extremely bad experience with Lenovo! The product was never delivered and now the refund process is being delayed!
After more than 5 weeks of waiting, no product and no money back!
Refused to accept delivery of…
Refused to accept delivery of duplicated order ( as directed by their FAQ). Item returned to Oostrum depot. No refund received after three weeks. Unable to contact Lenovo to find out status or refund.
Mobile phone purchase, not delivered and no refund…
Purchased a mobile phone directly from Lenovo in November 2025. I cancelled the order and bought from somewhere else, as the despatch date kept being put back.
Notwithstanding that I had cancelled the order, the item still turned up and I refused the delivery. Which was my right under UK law.
This was weeks ago and I have tried to get my money refunded so many times. Lie after lie from Lenovo staff. Confirmation emails that are promised never come and each time I ring the Lenovo call centre in India, I am consistently told my refund will take 5 to 7 working days (not calendar days) to arrive in my credit card account.
Lenovo appear to be nothing but lying scammers with no intention of ever refunding customers for refunds they are entitled to.
I would advise anyone to never buy directly from Lenovo. Getting a refund which they have promised so many times appears impossible.
In summary Lenovo never supplied the goods to me. But have decided to keep my money.
Avoid, avoid, avoid.
Keyboard rendering two year old Yoga…
Keyboard rendering two year old Yoga unusable.....
This major issue began just before the end of the two year warrantly. I have to type TWO as I have no number key functioning. Intermittent keys just not working - which means I have now rely on Hello to even log in. So no good at work, as sometimes I'm unable to login at all. No Character keys work at all.
Useless. Everything tried. Factory reset... hard thirty second reset seems to get the number keys working again for a short while. Driver updates. Vacuuming keys, tried all actions... etc etc.
Nothing spilt on it, not dropped. The OSK works perfectly.
Now of course its out of warranty - thank you Currys for offering to look at it - just Look at it for a princely Fifty pounds - the Pound key doesn't work of course, and I cannot bracket that, as those keys don't work either.
56 - here you see, these are the only two number keys that work. All of the others are useless.
The D key just fell off after a couple of months anyway. I gave up on getting it to stay on.
This all began during warranty, but I kept thinking I could fix it. Now its too late.
It's an appalling quality issue. Not worth repairing as the cost outweighs the value.
Desperately bad quality - which is a shame, as it's quite a nice laptop. Just unusable in any work situation where I need reliable access and functionality.
Essentially I seriously regret this purchase, and am unable to recommend a Levono Yoga to anyone.
You can NOT trust Lenovo - especially their "Lowest Price Guarantee"
You can't trust Lenovo, especially their "Lowest Price Guarantee." It is a scam. They do NOT honour it. I provided clear evidence and have sent emails, messages via online forms, and more, but they have been ignored. I found a cheaper deal on the Lenovo website (more than £139 cheaper) for an exact spec-for-spec match (including the warranty and everything). However, they have NOT to date provided a refund.
Promised a refund, returned the laptop, still waiting
This has been a genuinely stressful and disappointing experience.
I ordered a laptop directly from Lenovo which arrived late and had issues from the outset. Lenovo support later confirmed that certain steps had not been completed before the device was sent. Updates and fixes were applied, but the laptop still did not perform as expected.
During my contact with Lenovo, I was verbally reassured that if these fixes did not resolve the issues, I would be able to return the laptop for a refund. Based on that reassurance — and after waiting weeks for delivery and then struggling with a faulty device — I felt I had no option but to purchase a replacement laptop elsewhere so I could continue working.
Lenovo eventually agreed to the return and refund. I returned the laptop using Lenovo’s own instructions with tracked delivery. Despite this, more than a month later I have only received a partial refund of £100, with the remainder still outstanding.
What has been most upsetting is how difficult it has been to get any help since then. My case was closed without the refund being completed, there is no clear email contact for complaints, and attempts to use chat support often end without the issue being addressed. I have repeatedly been told the device is being moved internally between locations, but this does not help when you are waiting for a refund.
Overall, this experience has left me feeling exhausted and unsupported as a customer. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage others to think carefully before purchasing directly from Lenovo, as resolving problems and obtaining refunds has been far more difficult than expected.
Very bad experience.
Very bad experience. I bought one of their more expensive monitors. Started going wrong after less than a year. When I tried to get a refund or replacement under the warranty, they made so many stipulations regarding how I must send it back that it was impossible for me to comply. I gave up. Customer service is unhelpful and a waste of time. I will never buy a Lenovo product again.
How I wish I’d read these reviews…
How I wish I’d read these reviews before ordering… I bought a laptop for my son to use at college. Within 3 weeks it had stopped working. I had paid for premium care, but they were unable to fix the issue (the screen had gone black, I now understand this is a common problem). I wanted to return it and had multiple emails with customer services where they refused to accept their own invoice as proof of purchase (I had ordered directly from the Lenovo UK website). I was asked to do a review of the product, needless to say it wasn’t very favourable but was factual and politely worded. I was then notified it had not been posted on their website as had “failed to meet moderating requirements” (ie I had rated the laptop one star). The battle to return the laptop is still ongoing. I was told I would be contacted within 3 business days with the return instructions. 2 weeks later, 3 chasing emails later, no response. Phoned them yesterday and someone has now provided the returns label but I have been told not to expect my money back any time soon, the best estimate is minimum 2 weeks. I can’t afford to buy a replacement until I get my money back, so my son has no functioning laptop to do his college work on for a couple of months.
What a useless terrible company!!!
What a useless terrible company, I would never deal with them ever again, and would do all I can to discourage people from purchasing from them, they should not be in business. If you need to buy a PC for work you need it urgently, I bought one over a month ago, the delivery date consistently moved from a month to two months, to now saying delivery middle January nearly a QUARTER of a year after the urgent purchase. But I decided to wait as specification was exactly what I needed, called customer non-services a few times to confirm it was coming but that there was delays in shipping from Europe hence January delivery. Now a day before Christmas, with no contact just an email saying sorry your order is cancelled, how am I meant to get a new PC now over the holiday period, YOU USELESS, AWFUL COMPANY
Lenovo sent wrong power cord
Bought laptop from UK website. Was delivered early December. I tried to set it up on 12th December, but Lenovo sent the wrong power cord - a European plug socket, not UK.
I contacted them and they asked me to send pictures for proof. I sent them on the 12th and have heard nothing.
I just called again on 22nd December and they confirmed they got the pictures but are still processing them. So the laptop is basically useless and they can’t give any timescale on when they will provide the correct power cord.
Absolutely awful service.
Black Friday Scam
Black Friday Scam – Extremely Disappointing Experience
This was one of the worst online shopping experiences I’ve had. During Black Friday, the price was reduced from £1,899 to £1,299, so I placed the order. The item was never delivered. On the scheduled delivery day, my order was automatically cancelled, with the status claiming that I had rejected the delivery, which is completely false — I was never contacted and never received anything.
To make matters worse, Lenovo's customer support was extremely unhelpful. I spent hours waiting and being transferred between agents, only to be told in the end that they “couldn’t do anything” and that I would need to reorder the same item at the new price, which was around £600 more than what I paid during Black Friday.
Because of this delay and misinformation, I also missed out on other genuine Black Friday deals from different companies. This felt incredibly unprofessional and unfair, especially for a company of Lenovo’s size. I expected much better handling, accountability, and customer care.
Very disappointing experience.
Awful customer service
Awful customer service. Had to chase for three months in order to get a returns label for a faulty laptop. Hours wasted on the phone to staff who could not help and never called back when they said they would. Product finally returned and then no refund processed, so had to use the section 75 charge back scheme to get money back! Appalling. Avoid at all costs.Waited three months for the returns process to be
Do not buy a Lenovo!!!!!
Do not buy a Lenovo!!!!!
I bought Lenovo v15 G3 for my son to use for his university work.
After nearly 2 years it went into a "system restore loop". Lenovo replaced the motherboard as it was just within warranty.
Six months later the EXACT problem presented itself again. The motherboard was still in warranty, but the rest of the laptop warranty had expired.
Lenovo informed us we must pay to replace the SSD and then we could be charged for further parts once that was replaced and tested.
I asked for the laptop to be returned, tested the SSD and lo and behold - the SSD was not faulty!!
They are criminals, they know their motherboards are faulty!!!
An 18-Month Ordeal of Repairs and False Promises
My Lenovo laptop had a critical hardware fault within the first month. After four separate repair attempts over 18 months, the same issue persists. Support has now labeled a longstanding manufacturing defect as "customer-induced" and demanded £632. The promised repair is weeks overdue with no transparency. This is beyond poor service—it feels like systematic negligence. Save yourself the immense stress and avoid.
extremely disappointing and mentally distressing of Lenovo's service most worsen to me
I bought a Lenovo Order Date: 14/07/2024, Order Number: 4646270467, Product: Lenovo LOQ Gen 9 (15" AMD 7th Gen) , Part Number: 83JCCTO1WW, Serial Number: MP2P5QDR , Value: £919.99
- Delivery Received: 29/07/2024
Shortly after purchase, the device began malfunctioning — the screen would go black and freeze at the Bit Locker screen. Despite multiple restarts, the issue persisted. I first reported this to your support team on 07/08/2024. Instead of offering a refund or replacement, I was asked to send it in for repair.
Unfortunately, the same issue reappeared in December 2024, and I reported it again on 27/12/2024. Once again, the laptop was only repaired, not replaced. This has been a recurring and frustrating experience for me.
Despite reporting the same malfunction—black screen, Bit Locker message, and system freeze—multiple times since August 2024, the problem has remained unresolved. I initially reported the issue within the first month (August 2024), and again in December 2024. On both occasions, I clearly requested either a refund or a replacement, given that the device showed signs of being faulty from the beginning. Unfortunately, instead of resolving the root issue, the unit was merely repaired and returned.
Now, once again in October 2025, the same fault has reoccurred, and I contacted your support on 11/10/2025. I am now being told this is a Customer-Induced Damage (CID) and asked to pay £631.96 for parts and repair. I must firmly state that this issue has existed since purchase and I have always handled the device with utmost care.
It is extremely disappointing and mentally distressing to experience such repeated failures, especially from a brand as reputable as Lenovo. As a customer, I feel ignored, frustrated, and let down by this ongoing cycle of temporary fixes without addressing the real fault.
Given that I reported the issue within the warranty period multiple times, and clearly requested a refund or replacement early on, I now kindly but firmly request that Lenovo refund me in full or replace the faulty laptop with a properly functioning unit.
.............
After that.....
Now. I am extremely disappointed with the way my laptop repair case is being handled. I made full payment of £632.24 on 17/11/2025, based on the initial commitment that the ETA would be by 2nd December. Now the ETA has been pushed to 12th December, and most recently to 16th December, with no clear explanation or accountability.
I have asked multiple times for a clear and honest update on the actual status of the parts whether they have arrived or are still pending. Yet each time, your responses ignore my specific questions and repeat only shifting ETA dates. This ongoing lack of transparency is unacceptable.Even I said to ask internally to the respective department head to do needful.
It is evident that this issue is not being treated with the urgency it requires. Despite repeated follow ups and highlighting that this laptop is urgently needed, I have received only vague and delayed responses. Lenovo, as a global brand, should not require over a month to supply basic parts and complete a repair within the UK.
My rant and story of how they were deceiving me for a month
If I could, I would give zero stars.
My story starts on the 17th of November when I've ordered my laptop. It ment to be delivered within few days, but Lenovo has emailed me stating that there are some delays so my parcel will arrive next week.
Finally week later parcel was on its way to me, but UPS has damaged it somehow and they've stopped the delivery and returned it to their warehouse, informing me that they'll contact and inform the sender (Lenovo) about what happened. I have contacted them on the following day opting for the replacement and was told that it should take between 3-5 days to be shipped to me. Next day, after I have arranged the replacement UPS was trying to redeliver the damaged parcel, so I did contact Lenovo AGAIN asking why they are trying to redeliver a damaged goods to me. I've been told to refuse accepting the delivery. Funny enough they didn't arrive again, instead someone has decided to put "delivery refused" without even showing up on my doorstep. Little did I know that was the beginning of a long and painful process of contacting Lenovo multiple times a week to get any information about the progress of this situation. Five days have passed, still no email from them. Contacted them again just to be told that now I have to wait for the parcel to go back to their warehouse in Netherlands just so they could inspect it and send my replacement on it's way, which is weird, because if the damaged parcel wasn't accepted by me then they should immediately send me a replacement and wait for that one to go back to them instead of putting me in the situation where I had to wait for a month. The parcel has stayed in UPS's warehouse for ten days, in the meantime those people from customer service were telling me different stories, like every single one of them had their own version of what supposed to happen. Obviously no one could do anything about it so I was adviced to just simply wait. When the parcel was finally released from the warehouse and I did contact them to ask what will happen now I was told that after everything will end up in Netherlands it'll take them two days to finally issue the replacement. This never happened and again I had to call them. SO THEY TOLD ME THAT I HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER TWO DAYS FOR THE REPLACEMENT TO BE ISSUED. Today I've had enough, called them to ask what is going on with it, because no one is even trying to inform me about the progress of this whole chaotic situation as I was assured at the beginning and throughout the whole month that it'll happen and I've been told to wait again for another 24 hours. I've just checked my email.. and after almost a month ( today is the 15th of Dec) they've informed me that they are out of stock of that particular product and they'll refund me. Absolute disgrace! I did ask them two weeks ago if they are sure if I'll get the replacement, because I can't see this product on their website anymore and I was assured that I will indeed get it. Throughout the whole month I've been fed lies and was deceived by them. AVOID THEM AT ALL COST THEY HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THEY ARE DOING. ONE PERSON IN THEIR CUSTOMER SUPPORT TEAM SAYS NO WE CAN'T DO IT, THE OTHER ONE SAYS OH NO PROBLEM, WE CAN FIX IT RIGHT AWAY. THEY ARE CONSTANTLY CHANGING THE VERSION OF WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN SO YOU COULD GET YOUR REPLACEMENT AND I CAN ONLY SUSPECT THAT THIS INCLUDES THE REFUND TOO. I'VE WAISTED A WHOLE MONTH OF MY LIFE QUIET A LOT OF STRESS.
Charger lead is cheap and nasty.
Charger lead is cheap and nasty.
Brought this laptop and thought it was just what I need. No it's not, the lead is cheap, it's so thin it tangles all up and will in the end snap. The cursor is hard to see as it disappears and trying to find where it is, is a nightmare due to being a to lighter color to try and find where it's gone. I wouldn't buy this make again
