Won’t let me rate them low enough!

Won’t let me rate them low enough!!
On the 22/4/2022 my friend purchased a 77” LG OLED TV that was on special from $7500 down to $5995….

It was picked up from the shop 10 days later ( first available installation day ) by the authorised installer and installed on the wall. The TV was never removed from that installation location & did not get used a great amount as my friend did a lot of volunteering on MercyShips in Africa.

On the 16th of April 2026 the TV went blank….
A LG authorised repair agent came to look at the TV and removed it for assessment as to what the issue was.
The agent determined that the TV was not repairable as it was discovered there was a manufacturing fault in the TV and they felt that due to the type of “ manufacturing fault” a replacement TV “ should be ” issued due to the type of fault.

In Australia we have a “Fair Use “ government guarantee ( 2011 ) that in short says that even if an item is out of warranty the manufacturer of it…. It should be covered for any fault or repair…. My friend felt that this was along term investment and would not need to buy another TV for many many years ??? 10 years… not the 3 years & 11 months from installation to breakdown which was not “ a fair use “ time frame...

We contacted LG ( offshore is the only way to communicate with LG ) shortly after getting the report of the fault & LG stated they did not have the document… this was the start of a long, time wasting, stalling, excuse driven emails by LG regarding compensation for their faulty product..
The excuses, stalling and road blocks they issued were disgusting and i feel designed to make us “ give up “ on seeing the compensation pathway through…. What they didn’t realise was… this made us more determined….

Over 2 months later we have just received a small compensation payment….
This is THE LAST LG product we will EVER have in our home due to the lack of customer service that LG displayed….
From online reviews it appears they have a long track record of poor after sales service for faulty equipment and we are just another dissatisfied X-customer of LG

The customer service is horrible

The customer service is horrible. I received the wrong replacement TV which already took 3 weeks to receive. I called LG as soon as I got the TV spoke with a roz in return authorization dept who said this matter was escalated and to call back in 72 hours. Only for me to check on the status and now being told it takes 3-5 business days for a decision from management when the mistake was on LG to start with. I now may have to wait another 2 weeks after the decision is made to get a delivery date.. this process is horrible.

This isn’t about the LG TV at all

This isn’t about the LG TV at all. It’s about the customer service and support provided.
Last Thursday, I bought an LG OLED55C54LA TV. I set it up without any problems. However, when I tried to connect to YouTube, it wouldn’t work. I talked with CoPilot AI for help, and it gave me instructions on how to resolve the issue. But nothing worked.
Than decided to contact LG Service Support through the chatbot. After a few minutes, I was connected to a human representative who could help me. I went through several different methods to resolve the issue.
It wouldn’t connect. Finally, the LG customer service representative asked me to try connecting via a hotspot. Wow, to my surprise, the connection worked fine when I used my phone’s hotspot. YouTube worked perfectly too. What should I do next? The representative disappeared after that. I waited for 15 minutes until the connection was disconnected. I sent several messages during that time, but got no response.
Thank you, I called them and explained my bad experience with them online, the lady i was speaking to tried again to help me out but not to connect through hotspot, it did not work, so she raised a ticket for the engineer to call me in order to help me out.
it has been a week and i am still to be contacted.
the tv itself is beautiful i will rated 7 stars as the service support provided by LG is below zero.
Thank you, let's see when will i be contacted.
thank you for reading

Worst appliance I have ever purchased

Worst appliance I have ever purchased. Less than 6 month old refrigerator components stopped working. Been waiting for a part, while I was purchasing ice daily. I eventually had to purchase a portable ice machine. I paid $1300for the fridge and they refuse to reimburse me $60 for my inconvenience and ice machine purchase, I was given the run around. Then with their instruction I performed troubleshooting procedures. Poor customer service, agent are programmed to give only yes, sorry and I understand responses. When asking legitimate questions I was transferred to several agents. Without resolution I was told there was no other contact information available to resolve my matter. I have contacted the better business and plan to post my review on every outlet including all social media outlets. I have a whirlpool appliance that’s 30 years old and still runs like new. LG is garbage.

My LG experience

3 short years ago, I bought an LG Tower W/D model: WKE100HVA for between $2300-$2600 from Lowes. Within this year, the washer broke, costing me $400 to evaluate and $890 to fix. Not even a month later, either the fixed-washer or dryer began ripping and tearing up my clothes. It's ruined, at my guess, $1400-$2000 worth of clothes.

I've called LG, they've been no help. I've messaged with customer service 5 times, they've been no help! I was assured by one of the service reps that I'd get a call back within 48 hours, but that was 120 hours ago. LG has been an awful company with which to work. (Note to self: Never buy an LG product again.) @LGproduct @LGcustomerservice @LGWKE100HVA. #LGcustomerservice #LGproduct #LGWKE100HVA

Don't buy LG!!

If I could give less starts I would. I bought an $800 window ac 4 MONTHS ago. It has leaked all the freon out so no longer cools. Our temps have been in the 120's and I had to wait ALL weekend for them to tell me they are looking for a tech and it could take 5 business days!!!! To "fix" a window unit needing Freon cost more then it would to replace it but of course they don't listen. Will NEVER buy LG again

Shattered lid less than 4 months

Bought this washing machine 21/11/25, delivered 26/11/25 and then the lid completely shattered on 16/3/26. Only had the machine less than 4 months and the washer is now complete unusable as the glass is broken. My mother lifted the lid to do some laundry when she heard a sound and then noticed all the glass was shattering. LG have been nothing but a headache in getting this covered. Initially I was told the repair would be covered under goodwill then they completely flipped and said they would not. It has been over 2 months and we still have an unusable washing machine. Avoid purchasing with LG at all costs!!!

LG sold me a lemon

LG sold me, via Home Depot, a broken washing machine. The suspension shaft was broken. At fist we thought it was just out of balance. Home Depot double checked, that was not the problem. But it was delivered on the 16th to the house we were moving to, and not used until the 20th. Home Depot has a 48 hour rule. So, I called LG. It took them a few days to send out their "technician" who indeed diagnose the problem. He said he would have to order parts and would "get back to me".
Even though I had tried to get LG to respond sooner, via emails and phone calls, begging for help, my pleas fell on deaf ears. I had a month's worth of laundry piling up, and hubby and I are elderly with mobility issues. Going to a laundromat is virtually impossible.

Fortunately for me, because of the circumstances, Home Depot agreed to bend their 48 hour rule and brought me a new machine.
Yesterday LG's warranty company decided to "get back to me".....a full month after I'd discovered the problem.
LG, your customer service is horrible. Unresponsive and uncaring,
Thank you Home Depot for coming to our aide and taking care of a problem that was not yours to begin with.

Awful service and experience

Awful service and experience. Purchased the flagship LG fridge freezer with Instaview. Paid for a disconnect and install service as the fridge freezer is a plumbed version. So should have had a gold star service with an easy access with no difficult access points. Delivery people rushed, disconnected my fridge freezer, installed the new one, never levelled it, never checked it, when I said it was not straight and when I said the top panel was loose, they said contact LG and left. I called LG, after 10 phone calls, countless what’s app messages, lots of emails, videos, LG authorised a replacement. 10 days later a booking is confirmed for delivery. They never turned up, they sent me messages saying it was coming, I then called the delivery firm at 4 and they said they never loaded as they never realised how big the fridge was. had to defrost the food, throw it away in prep. And nothing came of it. Then spent hours on the phone again to LG, they got me another delivery date of Monday. The delivery arrived, they told me that they couldn’t install the new one as I didn’t book a disconnect service. When I had paid for all of this up front. Then I spent hours on the phone talking from one customer services person to another, saying to me plumbing issues are not covered trying to somehow blame me. Then I got to speak to someone who said would need to escalate the matter and made out it was a favour to me to have the original service I paid for and somehow I should be grateful to have a fridge freezer that costs 2k that works, and somehow it’s my fault that I have been on endless calls, I have an LG TV, LG washing machine, and every time I look at them I am reminded of this unresolved matter.

I bought their top of the line cloth washer, but it failed

I bought their top of the line clothes washer, the internal components began to rust after only a few months which caused rust stains on our clothing which do not come out. Yes, I purchased their top of two-year extended warranty (but reported the problem within the first year where all parts and labor are supposed to be covered). LG said “rust is cosmetic and we don’t warrant cosmetic issues.” I have fought for some compensation (repair, replacement, refund) for over six months and finally, rather than even examine the washer to see what’s wrong, they have offered to refund the cost of the extended warranty. I’ve complained to BBB, the FTC, and my state’s attorney general, so LG escalated my complaint to a Presidential Liaison and they still won’t even send out a technician to examine the issue. Consumer Reports says the model washer that I bought was the best quality machine. Maybe the model was, but the washer I got has an issue, and LG has lousy customer service ratings. If you get lucky and they ship you a good product, great. But if it is faulty, there is no one who will help.

ZERO isn't an option

ZERO isn't an option! I purchased a fridge in 2018 for $3300. In 2021 I had to pay to have someone come and fix it to replace the compressor. Apparently a known issue as there was a class action lawsuit. I received a TINY bit of money from that settlement, in comparison to what it cost me to replace a fridge and freezer full of food, not to mention the inconvenience of a broken fridge during a large event at my house. Those funds were received in 2025.
Here we are in 2026 and everything in my fridge is spoiling AGAIN. I've put in for a repair on June 16, which I've had to pay $564 for, but apparently no one is available until June 18. Not sure if you've been in a grocery store lately and witness prices going up weekly, but having to buy everything again AFTER dishing out $564 is unacceptable.
LG should be ashamed of themselves when they are obviously well aware how garbage this fridge is! If not willing to cover cost of replacing everything your customers have lost a replacement fridge should be offered of comparable value and WITHOUT KNOWN PROBLEMS.
I will NEVER purchase LG again (Literally Garbage!) and will speak and post to everyone I know to stay far away from anything they make!

Awful customer service

Awful customer service. Their system is incorrect. When using their "handy" track a repair tool, I was shown the wrong date to expect a technician to arrive to fix my refrigerator. When I called them to confirm they were showing up (while getting through their online chat and waiting FOREVER to talk to someone) they assured me, "yes, someone is on their way". They never showed up. I took off work and waited all day. Then, when I called them again, instead of assuring me someone would show up, they said to take it up with the tech company they outsourced my service work to. RUDE.

I wish I could give them a 0 star

I wish I could give them a 0 star. Three of the new portable AC units that I purchased didn't work from the box. They canceled the factory warranty on one of them because the unit was in my office. Terrible.
