Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 451 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people found customer service horrible, citing unhelpful agents, long waits, and poor follow-up. Consumers frequently reported product failures shortly after purchase, including refrigerators breaking down, ovens stopping, and washing machines vibrating excessively. Additionally, many felt the company did not honor warranties, making the process frustrating. Customers encountered quality issues and design flaws like ice build-up, oven burners failing, dryer filters not working, overly sensitive features, or poorly constructed components. Service appointments faced problems with technicians lacking tools or incorrect installations, and warranty claims were challenging due to uncovered labor or unavailable certified repair services.

Even today

Even today, I still haven't received a refund after purchasing an OLED TV from LG. Their courier—DHL, another company that really ought to go out of business—is completely incompetent. And God forbid a public holiday happens to fall in the middle of the week; they’ll simply push your delivery back to the following week. They do this as a matter of habit—especially at the Hockenheim branch. You pay 1,000 euros, yet they dictate the terms of your delivery and do whatever suits them best. I paid using Klarna, but Klarna cannot intervene until LG gives the green light confirming a delivery that, in fact, was never actually carried out. It’s the "trio of wonders": LG, DHL, and Klarna. This has been the most disappointing experience of my life. Never, ever do business with them. Do not place orders using Klarna—PayPal is far better. Don't buy from LG either—Samsung is the superior choice. And as for shipping via DHL? You’re better off spending a little extra to choose UPS instead.

Dealing with LG customer service is an…

Dealing with LG customer service is an exercise in frustration, time wasting, repetition and speaking to a call centre in the Philippines whose staff are simply unable to deal with basic enquiries let alone issues that take them "off script". My 18 months old washer dryer has been waiting on a warranty repair for 3 weeks and LG customer service have no idea what they are doing from one day to the next. I can only hope (but with little confidence) that the repair will go ahead on the scheduled date of 28th May. Will NEVER buy another LG appliance.

Fridge Stopped Working - Customer Service is Terrible

Our LG refrigerator stopped cooling on April 24, 2026. The refrigerator and freezer compartments became warm despite the unit still having power. We contacted LG support immediately and were referred to an authorized service technician.

The first repair visit occurred on April 27, 2026 and lasted several hours. We were told the compressor had failed and compressor/sealed-system repairs were performed. After this repair, the refrigerator still did not cool properly. The freezer remained warm while the refrigerator section stayed unsafe for food storage.
A second service visit occurred on May 1, 2026. The technician again stated the refrigerator had been repaired, but temperatures remained far above safe food storage levels and the appliance continued failing to cool properly.

A third service visit occurred on May 4, 2026 and lasted approximately 1–2 hours. We were told the issue was related to a software update and that the refrigerator should function normally afterward. However, temperatures did not improve and the appliance still failed to cool correctly. When I told this to the repair tech, he insisted the 49 degree temperature of the fridge was "normal".

A fourth service visit occurred on May 6, 2026 and lasted several hours. After the technician left, the refrigerator made an extremely loud drill-like noise followed by a prolonged hissing sound from the rear of the appliance. Although the technician again stated the refrigerator was repaired, the refrigerator and freezer temperatures later returned to room temperature and the appliance stopped cooling entirely and hasn't worked at all since.

At this point, the refrigerator remains completely nonfunctional despite four repair attempts, including compressor/sealed-system work. We have lost food and have been without a working refrigerator since April 24, 2026.

We escalated the matter with LG and requested additional assistance. We were informed that the same technician is the only authorized technician available in our area and that there are no alternative service options. We were also told our only other option was to cancel service while still being charged the service fee. A supervisor callback was scheduled, but we did not receive the promised callback and have been given the runaround for several days now in our attempts to speak to someone. Jasmine, the Presidential Liason for LG is who we're allegedly waiting to hear from, but every single scheduled call never happens.

It's become clear that they are assuming we'll just give up and accept our nonworking fridge (which is still under warranty.)

Worst customer service and warranty ever

My dishwasher started leaking less than a year after I purchased it. They won't give me any kind of warranty. They won't even use the extended warranty. It's a total waste I've been getting the run around. They will not replace or repair my dishwasher. It's a horrible, horrible company to deal with. Never, ever buy an LG product.

Worst aftercare experience

We purchased a vacuum cleaner from LG as it provides a soft head for our wooden flooring. It broke about 8 months later.
We never received the replacement.
After 10 phone calls, 10 different case numbers and broken promises. We kept being told it would arrive in 7-10 business days. A month later we were advised, it’s not in stock and they can’t say if/when it will arrive. You can’t help but feel like youve been provided with the incorrect information (lied to) the whole aftercare journey. We have been left with wasted time and a headless vacuum. It’s honestly been the worst customer service we’ve ever had for something so simple. Unfortunately, we will never be purchasing any products from LG again.
So glad we didn’t buy anything from them with a higher value. A waste of time & money :(

I purchased the LG CordZero A9 Cordless…

I purchased the LG CordZero A9 Cordless Stick Vacuum A916BM on July 21, 2024, for over $700.00, expecting a premium product with long-term reliability and performance. Unfortunately, by January 2026, the power head motor had completely stopped working, rendering the vacuum essentially useless for its primary purpose.

When I contacted LG Electronics customer service, I was told the power head was not covered under warranty. My options were to either purchase a replacement power head for approximately $341 or buy another vacuum with only a 10–15% discount. As a senior, spending over $700 on a vacuum was already a significant expense, and being told I needed to spend hundreds more after only 18 months was extremely disappointing.

A premium-priced vacuum should last far longer than this, especially a critical component like the power head. This feels less like normal wear and tear and more like a serious durability issue. What makes this even more frustrating is that my much less expensive Eureka cordless vacuum, purchased for under $200, is still functioning well after nearly five years.

I specifically chose LG because I expected better quality, stronger carpet-cleaning performance, and greater longevity from a higher-end product. Instead, I am left with an unusable vacuum unless I pay an unreasonable amount for repairs.

Based on my experience, I would not purchase another LG product, nor would I recommend them. The customer service experience only added to my frustration and disappointment.

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever! The oven I ordered came with a damaged ceramic coating on inside of oven. They said that was Not a Defect it was Cosmetic. After numerous calls with very rude representatives they sent someone out to look at it. After looking at the oven and saying he has seen this before because of the way they pack the metal shelves inside, this person stepped outside to make his call and then came inside to give me a "service number" and said somebody would contact me in 4-8 days. When that did not happen I called, gave my service number and was told "oh that case is closed" . And when I tried to explain the issues, the representatives talked over me in a raised voice that "the case is closed". I also used the President Liaison on their website and submitted emails TWICE with no response. DO NOT BUY LG

LG Dryer less than 3 years old stopped working. Thermistor Error. We needed to replace the main board and purchased the part from Lg parts. The part was $330 well the part stoped working after a year. Its been less then 2 years and the part need to be replaced again. I called customer service and they are putting plan on me hiring a local tech and their inability to have installed it. There only advice is to purchase the part again and to ensure I am caring for my dryer properly! Never Again will I buy an LG product !

DO NOT BUY FROM LG.COM U.S.A

DO NOT BUY FROM LG.COM U.S.A. I ordered two A/C’s for home delivery, 12k and 10k BTU Inverter Window Units each weighing 85 pounds. Both arrived damaged. LG customer service is deplorable. I reported damage immediately and they refused to provide pre-paid return label to have a/c’s picked up at my home. I called & emailed numerous times, filed BBB, State Attorney General, Federal Trade Commission, Consumer Protection Agency formal complains. Disputed charge with my credit card. Wasted hours and days on end and still not resolved. Obviously from all the one star reviews this is common. CSR refused my repeated requests to speak with a Supervisor, and told me they are “trained to respond this way”.

LG customer service is one of the most…

LG customer service is one of the most frustrating experiences I have ever had. It is as if no one there has any idea of how to handle their job. The process for handling warranty items for failed equipment makes you feel at fault. Zero follow-up communication after you TEXT them the information they ask for. They fall off the face of the earth in hopes you just give up.

LG Canada: $2,300 for a "brick" and a 75-day camping trip in my own kitchen.

If you are considering an LG induction range, proceed with extreme caution. After purchasing model LSIL6334G, our unit suffered a catastrophic hardware failure (F9 error) less than two years in.

We have now spent 75 days without a functional stove, forcing a household of six—including two elderly parents—to prepare over 900 meals on outdoor camping equipment.

Despite providing a $350 licensed professional pest clearance to satisfy their "environmental" concerns, LG has officially refused a refund, refused a replacement, and—in a stunning admission—stated in writing that they are "unable to send out fully functional replacement parts." LG Canada isn't just failing at customer service; they are admitting they cannot even provide the parts to maintain the machines they are still selling in stores. Do not spend thousands of dollars on an appliance that the manufacturer itself cannot fix.

The microwave was damaged before I had…

The microwave was damaged before I had it installed, but it was not noticeable from looking at the box it arrived in; it looked fine. Home Depot said it was an LG problem, and LG says it was a shipping problem, so I am stuck with a brand-new, expensive, damaged microwave that doesn't work. They have wasted hours of my time over the last 5 months with sending techs who couldn't fix it, and now they decide that since it was "damaged in shipping," it is not under warranty.

LG has a terrible customer service program.

LG customer is nonexistent

April 2026 We purchased LG dryer Model Number DLEX8600WE directly from LG, we also purchased a LG approved right sided venting kit

Dryer purchase price included installation--not just delivery. Dryer was delivered on Thursday April 9. Installers were told that we wanted the dryer vent on the right side of the dryer.

Installer insisted that this dryer could NOT be vented on the right side--no way because this model only vented at the back. He was argumentative from the beginning. We showed him the LG dryer specs and where the right-sided exhaust outlet duct was located.

After realizing his mistake the installer and his co-worker went back outside and installed the duct/tubing onto the right side of the machine. They brought dryer in, attached flexible exhaust vent hose, plugged in the cord, turned dryer on for 15 seconds and left.

I had previously washed clothes and the clothes were ready for the new dryer-loaded the dryer and started the machine. Within 15 minutes there was a VERY LOUD ALARM- coming from the laundry room. I thought alarm was coming from the dryer--no it was coming from the leak detector we had on the floor. There was water all around the dryer and the cabinet of the dryer was extremely HOT!

My husband looked into the venting duct and took a picture. The venting ducts and elbow were not attached to each other. Had the 'installer' attached and secured the ducts and elbow together we would not have had all the inconvenience and potential hazard.

We reported issue to LX Pantos Team (delivery team)
One of the service reps questioned did WE do something to the ducts. He also stated the installer would not have left the ducts like that--well the installer did leave the ducts unattached.

We then received a phone call from Pantos saying that installer would be here on 4/14 to properly install the ducts. Service rep apologized for the problems and said the delivery/installer had received a 'write up'/reprimand for his incompetence.
We asked if it was going to be same installer and were told yes, same installer because we are on his route. We did not want this installer back, why in the world would you want someone who did incomplete/incompetent job to come back?

I contacted LG customer service via online chat to resolve the installation issue-no help at all. Then I left an email to the LG company president - I received a voicemail from the 'presidential liaison' that he would be able to assist us and get the dryer installed properly. Well he was not helpful either. My husband who is 74- ending up installing the elbow and venting ducts properly.
Dryer works fine- LG customer service is non-existent

OLED LG TV consistent picture problems

I purchased a brand new OLED LG TV December 15th. April 4, no picture...just sound. Told to unplug for X amount of time, etc. Picture worked. Fine. A week later, same issue. It took until April 23 (and many phone calls and calls intervention from Costco) to get a repair scheduled because there were no repair providers available in my area. I live in the 5th largest city in the US. Finally, got a repair person here yesterday. Replaced the board. Picture looked nice. Turned off TV last night, when I turned on this am....sound, no picture. Going through run around again with LG and repair facility. I am highly disappointed in the quality (this TV should not fail in less than 5 months) and extremely frustrated with the customer service at LG. If the repair person does not call LG while still in your home they do not accept any recommendations from the repair person. So we the consumers are somehow supposed to know the little one and outs of LG policy that allow them to say "oh, we can't replace the TV unless the tech is there in your home when they call". Apparently, calling from their shop is insufficient.

LG Monitor has known issue of flickering - LG doesn't acknowledge

Purchased LG curved monitor from Amazon. The monitor has a known issue that caused it to reset and flicker during use. It started more than 30 days after purchase. I called LG support and despite the fact it was a known issue I had to ship the monitor back to LG to be inspected and determined if it can be repaired which would mean I would be wihtout monitor for two weeks or more.
