Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 451 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people found customer service horrible, citing unhelpful agents, long waits, and poor follow-up. Consumers frequently reported product failures shortly after purchase, including refrigerators breaking down, ovens stopping, and washing machines vibrating excessively. Additionally, many felt the company did not honor warranties, making the process frustrating. Customers encountered quality issues and design flaws like ice build-up, oven burners failing, dryer filters not working, overly sensitive features, or poorly constructed components. Service appointments faced problems with technicians lacking tools or incorrect installations, and warranty claims were challenging due to uncovered labor or unavailable certified repair services.

Everything that everyone else has said…

Everything that everyone else has said plus this: do not tell the technician that you are going to try to get the machine replaced even If it was a lemon. They make notes of everything that you say, and having said that they consider it a refusal of service. They cut me off and flagged my account so that my warranty was no longer valid. I've been fighting for 2 months now. My machine was 3 months old and two technicians said it was defective from the factory but that LG will not replace a machine. They would rather rebuild it entirely.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. Have been waiting 3 months for a dryer repair. The dryer is less than a year old and still under warranty. The tech who reached out was beyond rude and inappropriate. This will be our last LG appliance after this terrible experience.

Bad costumer service

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with LG Electronics. I purchased a washing machine less than two years ago, and it has already started to vibrate excessively and make loud, disturbing noises during the spin cycle.
I have contacted LG multiple times, both by email and phone, trying to resolve this issue. Each time, I received poor customer service and no real solution. The company claims that an engineer visited twice and found no fault with the machine, which is simply not true. This information is inaccurate and very frustrating.
Despite waiting for more than three months, the problem remains unresolved
Based on my experience, I would not recommend purchasing any products from LG. The quality of the appliance and the level of customer support have both been extremely disappointing.

Compressor went on my refrigerator .It's under warrant but apparently, this is a problem with these refrigerators ( I called one company for service, and they laughed when I told them it was an LG!). Will not buy LG products in the future, nor will I recommend them!

LG OLED65GX6LA Review. Great Picture, Disappointing Lifespan 😕📺

bought the LG OLED65GX6LA about 5 years ago, expecting a premium TV to last much longer. especially at this price point.
While the picture quality has always been excellent, the reliability has been a real letdown. After around 5 years of normal use, it started randomly switching off, making it frustrating and unreliable to watch.
For such an expensive TV, you expect durability and consistency, not issues that make it almost unusable. Sadly, it’s not something I’d trust again when it comes to long-term value.

Worst customer service I have EVER…

Worst customer service I have EVER experienced in my life!!! My microwave is under guarantee however having sent numerous emails to their customer service I have got nowhere!!! I have had email replies each time with different excuses why they won't action the repair. Despite never having had a phone call from their service centre they have told me in emails my appliance will not be repaired because "you didn't adhere to the contract details", " you didn't accept the cost of the repair" and the latest one "After reviewing your case, I can confirm that the microwave model you mentioned is smaller than 24 liters and is not covered under warranty."
This microwave is a couple of years old and states on it's door it has a 10 year warranty!!!
If I could give a NO star rating I would!!!

I would like to formally summarise my…

I would like to formally summarise my case and the issues I have experienced with my LG OLED television.

On 31 March, my television suddenly developed a serious issue with the display. Without any external cause, the screen began showing significant colour burn and distortion. As a result, I was advised that the panel would need to be replaced.

When I initially contacted customer support, I was informed that this issue was not covered under warranty. However, after further discussion with a supervisor, the case was reviewed and subsequently accepted under warranty. I was then informed that instead of replacing the television, the panel would be replaced.

The panel replacement was carried out on 26 April.

However, immediately after the technician left, I noticed that the television was not functioning as expected. I contacted your team within minutes and reported the issue via video call.

Since the repair, I have been experiencing the following problems:

- The picture quality is significantly worse than before
- Colours appear overly saturated, particularly with a strong reddish tone
- The image lacks depth and realism expected from an OLED display
- Human faces and fine details appear blurred and unnatural
- Dolby options that were previously available are no longer present

I would like to emphasise that these issues were not present prior to the repair. I am also using the same internet connection and environment as before, which rules out any external factors.

I have tested all available settings on the TV, including personalised adjustments, but the issue persists. I have also compared the same content on another television in a retail environment, and the difference in quality is clearly noticeable.

Additionally, I have concerns regarding the installation and parts used during the repair, given the current performance of the device.

At this stage, I do not believe that the repair has resolved the issue. The television is not performing to the expected OLED standard.

I would therefore kindly request that this matter be escalated and reviewed by a technical specialist as a matter of urgency.

I look forward to your response and a suitable resolution.

Bought a heat pump dryer last November

Bought a heat pump dryer last November. All was fine until 230426 when it told us the air filter was not in place so we couldn’t use the dryer. We tried cleaning it more and replacing it in the machine lots of times to no avail.
Contacted lg support who identified that a small magnet had fallen out of the filter. This was not covered under the warranty and I would have to buy a new filter for £61.
Managed to find the magnet and stuck it in with super glue and blue tack and all is good.
It would seem this is a common fault with these filters but lg don’t accept it is a design fault and you are left to pick up the tab. I was lucky to find the magnet and after the customer service I received I won’t be buying lg again.
Filter should be replaced free if this happens as it is their fault. It’s a poor design.

Ongoing failures and no resolution after repeated repairs

I have had serious issues with both my LG refrigerator and washing machine, and neither has been resolved despite multiple repair attempts.

The refrigerator has been faulty for over 2 years, causing repeated food spoilage. The washing machine does not drain properly and leaves laundry soaking wet even after a cycle. It has already undergone three repair attempts, but the issue remains.

LG has contacted me many times by phone, repeatedly asking for the same information, but no real solution has been provided. I also agreed to a technician visit, but no one attended on the scheduled date and there was no follow-up.

This has caused significant inconvenience, lost income from leaving work early multiple times, and financial loss from spoiled food and damaged laundry.

Very disappointing experience. I am currently escalating this matter through Consumer Protection and preparing for SAT.

Worst customer service I have EVER experienced in my life. Even with a warranty. My washer is a lemon and they are refusing to fix or replace. Agents are rude, dismissive and liars. I will never purchase another LG electronic as long as I live. I advise you all to follow suit because if you need a repair under warranty you are OUT OF LUCK!!!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

I will highly advise people to shop elsewhere. I purchased everything for my kitchen here and products starting failing one by one and of course they were only covered for one year. My stackable washer and dryer motor went out and it stated the motor was covered for 10 years, come to find out that is not. They say it is but you still have to pay around $400 for accessories and labor . Dismissive customer service. For reference I spend around 5K in appliances that lasted 4 years.

Foil bonded to oven bottom

I purchased a kitchen of LG appliances less than 60 days ago. I placed aluminum foil in the bottom of the oven over Easter Dinner to protect it from dripping. The foil bonded to the new oven and will not come off. I contacted LG who will not offer any support what so ever. I said how can you manufacture a range that is so sensitive and has no durability to use foil. My old range was 20 years old and still going strong. I decided to upgrade and what a mistake that was. LG has NO customer service. They will not help you. They don’t care! Save yourself the headache and buy another brand.

Will never work with LG again

Will never work with LG again. I had a microwave that should have been installed with the fan positioning the front to recirculate. I am now selling my home and was asked where is the vent exhaust. I call LG to see if they can diagnose and fix the problem. They first want to charge me almost $450 just to come out. Then the I tell the guy what's going on as he texts me before coming and he stated it would be better to just buy another microwave so I cancel the job before they take my money. Mind you, this tech came to my home before and should have known the fan was installed improperly as I do not have an exhaust system in my home as the back of my microwave faces the garage. I call an apliancr guy and he charged me $175 to diagnose the problem then converted the fan for me. Now the problem is fixed easily. So disappointed in LG and Home Depot ad I bought the system from Home Depot and those guys did not install the system properly either.

LG Service Has Been Frustrating, Disorganised, and Unhelpful

I have been a loyal LG customer for 15 to 16 years and own multiple LG appliances, including a washing machine, dishwasher, tumble dryer, and microwave. That is exactly why this experience has been so disappointing.
In the past, we used a service agent named Chris, who was excellent. He serviced my appliances once a year, sometimes every 18 months, and I never had any reason to complain. In December 2023, he told me my washing machine needed parts for a separate issue. By January 2024, I stopped following up because nothing was happening. The machine then started leaking water, and I simply learned to live with it.
On Saturday, 4 April, the machine stopped pumping water completely. I contacted LG Midrand on Monday, 7 April, and explained the issue fully. After some back and forth to find a suitable time, Sifiso came out on Tuesday, 14 April. He told me he needed to order a pump housing, as he already had the pump, and that he would return within the week.
On Thursday, I followed up and was told he was still waiting for stock. Fair enough. Then, at 15:13 on Friday, 17 April, I asked again when he would be coming to complete the repair, and he said Saturday.
It is now 11:55 on Saturday, and I have heard absolutely nothing.
At 11:11, I contacted the WhatsApp support line for help, only for Owen to tell me that without a reference number, nothing could be done. No reference number was ever given to me when I first logged the issue on 7 April, nor was one provided by Sifiso. So now I am stuck and will most likely have to wait until Monday morning to start phoning around again, hoping to get hold of someone who can actually help.
What is especially frustrating is that although the issue identified in December 2023 was separate from the current fault, leaving it unresolved appears to have made the present situation more difficult to deal with.
For a company whose products I have trusted for over 15 years, this level of after-sales service is incredibly disappointing. At this point, I genuinely do not know whether I would buy another LG appliance again.

Worst product and service

Here’s a clear, firm, and well-structured version suitable for a Google review:

---

I am बेहद disappointed with LG Electronics air conditioners and their after-sales service.

I purchased an LG 1.5-ton Dual Inverter Split AC, and within just one month, it stopped functioning. For the past five days, I have been लगातार following up to get the issue resolved, but without any proper response.

For the first two days, I tried calling the customer care number (8069379999) multiple times. Each time, I was assured that my complaint had been registered, yet no service technician visited. Later, when I raised the issue through another platform, I received a call informing me that my complaint had actually not been registered at all. A fresh complaint was then logged, but even after more than 24 hours, no service person has turned up.

This level of service is highly unprofessional and frustrating, especially for a brand of this reputation. My sincere advice to others is to reconsider before purchasing LG products, as the after-sales support has been extremely disappointing in my experience.

LG refusing to honour extended warranty.

Have an LG washer dryer that is showing an outlet fault (due to a small cotton glove blocking the outlet). LG refuse to help as they say it’s not a manufacturing fault!! How is it possible not to be a fault when it allows items to get sucked into the outlet?!!!!
