You buy rolls or similar and you just walk 2 steps from door and everything on floor , the paper bags can't carry even one pain au chocolat. Today I bought some rolls and just one pain au chocolat and I lost it near door on the floor so I put it in the bin. I will not buy again

Great prices & excellent staff

Great prices & excellent staff

We love Lidl, it's our supermarket of choice & this is a great store.....

This would be a 5* review if not for a few little niggles which are down to issues nationally not at this store....

The first is that Lidl has a habit (not talking middle of Lidl or specials) where you will get a product, love it, keep buying it & then it stops being sold & you never see it again...staff try to help but they have no actual control over what is delivered to the stores....we have had this from thins as diverse as Ice Cream to Cat Food.

The second niggle which is usually resolved through help or instore is some of the fresh produce....I love grapes, always buy seedless, but on at least 4 occasions the Lidl seedless grapes have had seeds......also some things may not have a very long shelf life......we have even occasionally seen rotten oranges on display.

The final niggle & pet hate is the rise of self service checkouts.....wee hate them !! The result is longer queues at the manned checkouts as they open less....I still have the attitude that the price of the goods includes the costs of the staff.....I'm not a Lidl employee, there isn't a lower price for self checkout......so why would I do something I've paid for someone to do for me.

The main bonus apart from prices is the staff.....they are excellent, always a smile no matter how busy they are......

Rude staff snatching things from my hands

I am incredibly disappointed with the customer service at 1, NORTHGATE CENTRE, Heckmondwike WF16 9RL. On 8 Jun at around 11am, I used one of the manned tills and encountered a female staff member named Sophie who was outright hostile. While I was checking out, she literally snatched a loaf of bread right out of my hand. She consistently has a stern, aggressive attitude towards customers, but physical aggression like snatching items is completely unacceptable. This is unprofessional behavior that needs to be addressed by management.

We have been regularly customers since…

We have been regularly customers since it opened but this evening at 7 pm we were accosted by a migrant who made us feel in danger. He invaded our space acting as tho he knew us. We are old age pensioners and felt vulnerable. We managed to escape into the store but he was outside when we wanted to leave so we asked the security guard to confront him so that we could get safely to the car with our shopping. We were very frightened and will carry walking sticks in future and we will shop at Aldi in Bury from now on.

Shocking experience

I can honestly say I have not experienced such rude and unkind behaviour from one individual.. Lidl Watford. We were looking at items in the dessert section. Then I felt a metal trolley hit my ankle with a staff member getting all the dessert boxes out from the pots and putting them in the trolley leaning all over me. Quite intimidating so decided to move to the juice section just a few metres down the aisle. When I saw he was moving along (doing it to other customers!) I went beck to the desserts and said in a nice way. You have been quite rude with your behaviour.. to which he smirked and said nothing carrying on. Uncaring and unkind. I then asked for his name and he said 'Jesus' laughing and carrying on his truly vile behaviour. I walked off to see another member of staff to ask for the manager.. Luckily I saw Anna who couldn't have been more kind and helpful. The total opposite of this member of staff called Jolt.. 'not Jesus'. A rotten experience. Be careful visiting this store. Someone like him should not be dealing with members of the public.

Auror store your data and use loss prevention as a excuse even your children’s images

They steal your image call you a thief then use you image as they like by using a third party company to cover themself and you and your kids images are not safe. There with Auror not Lidl even though there security guard made a mistake when he called you a thief they still stores your images they do not block faces so we’re all grouped together in a incompetent security guard

I visited Lidl whist on holiday this and now this

I visited Lidl Ashford whist on holiday this last May bank holiday. The shop was fine but when I returned home I found I had a parking fine from Parking Eye. I was not aware that you where required to put your registration in a machine when leaving the store as I have never done this in any other Lidl store I have visited.
I have appealed the fine as I still have my receipt from my visit, but someone said I would probably not be successful, I will wait and see.
Hence to say I will probably not use this Lidl's again if I fine myself this way again

I have felt discriminated and made to…

I have felt discriminated and made to feel small. My empty bag was checked proactively even before I could comprehend the staff’s behaviour, she said clearly- as told by her management. No one else’s (citizens) bags were checked. I really feel because of brown skin I am targeted always. It’s really sad. This has given me a lifetime’s trauma. I do not feel safe in such a racist environment. A place where even groceries cannot be bought without discrimination how can I feel welcomed and respected.

When your chicken goes green even when still sealed in a in date packet, it’s time to shop elsewhere. Customer service to resolve was awful too!

Disappointing Customer Service and Declining Product Quality

I have been a regular Lidl customer in Glasgow for approximately six years and have spent hundreds of pounds per month in Lidl stores.

My most recent experience at the Tollcross Glasgow store was extremely disappointing. During checkout, my bank card was short by approximately £1. I immediately offered to pay the remaining amount in cash. However, the store manager, Mr Ross, refused to allow this and cancelled the entire transaction.

What upset me most was not the £1 shortfall, but the way the situation was handled. I found the manager's attitude rude, impatient, and unhelpful. As a long-term customer, I expected a more respectful and customer-focused approach.

This experience left me feeling unwelcome and undervalued. I also felt that other customers were treated with more courtesy than I received, which added to my disappointment.

Over the years, I have also become increasingly dissatisfied with the quality of some Lidl products. While Lidl is often promoted as a value retailer, I have personally found that some fruit, vegetables, rice, and grocery items have been of lower quality compared with products available from competing supermarkets. In my experience, the small savings are no longer worth the difference in quality.

Because of this incident and my concerns regarding product quality, I have decided to stop shopping at Lidl and will not be recommending the company to friends, family, or members of my local community.

I hope Lidl reviews this complaint seriously and improves both customer service standards and product quality.

I always use Lidl and have done for…

I always use Lidl and have done for years and found they are good , but today I could not believe what I was hearing , I go there and found out I had no pound coins for the trolley , so went in and waited until I saw a checkout with the till draw open, I asked if they could give me 5 one pound coins for a fiver I had, and was told sorry we cant do that , big boss say we cant do that ,
I said I only want them for the trolley so to shop, sorry no was the answer , I said do LIDL want customers or they not bothered , they then said ok and changed the Fiver ,but I am not suppose too .
LIDL big bosses , is this the state of a shopping experience we have now got to suffer in the UK
at this rate you are giving ALDI all your customers
.I would love a reply from the powers at be at Lidl but doubt they would know how to reply ,
prove me wrong please please please
